DaVinci had decided that the best way to treat the morning after hangover was another dose of the day before. So far the concept was working fairly well and the pounding at his temples had eased into nothing. He'd been taking the shots of whiskey every few hours to keep the pounding at bay and though he wasn't toast he was fairly well buzzed. The male had been laying out in the sweet hay of the lower barn listening to the cattle outside as they shuffled around in the snow and munched on the grasses he'd thrown to them earlier. Half the hay probably hadn't made it over the fence but he'd tend to it later, the damn fat ass walking slabs of meat needed to go forage on their own for a while, or beg someone else to feed them.

DaVinci hummed quietly to himself and gazed up at the motes of dust that seemed to dance in the rays of sunlight that came streaming down from the hay loft. The male tilted his head to the side and wondered if he could even climb the ladder to the second story in his current state. He chuckled at the idea and let it linger at the back of his mind as he took another harsh draw on the bottle of whiskey. The dark amber liquid rushed down his throat as he ran his tongue across his teeth, the bittersweet aftertaste lingering on his lips as he smiled.

Had he discovered heaven in a shotglass, he'd like to think so.

The golden hued female staggered towards the looming building, giggling to herself as she paused and swayed for a moment to raise her very own bottle of liquor to her lips. She teetered for a moment then regained a bit of her senses and battled onward, wandering into the large barn. The smells of sweet alfalfa and timothy hay, animal pelts and waste filled her senses. She snorted and took another slow swig of the dark, rich liquid, letting it fly down her throat like fire. Asariel wasn't one to drink; in fact, this was probably only her second time having alcohol of any sorts. She spotted the male - DaVinci, from what she could tell - and made her way to him. "Ha..llo," she said slowly, plopping herself down a little ways from him, of course being careful not to hurt the precious bottle of alcohol in her hand.

She raked her slow-minded brain, trying to remember if she'd met him or not. Of course she knew he was the subleader of Phoenix Valley; Oh yes! He was the one that had greeted her at the border! She made a face. He'd been a little bit rude, if she remembered correctly. Then again, the world was simply full of rude people.

What's a girl to do, right?

DaVi is subleader, right? Jeff's the main alpha, if I remember correctly xD Please correct me if I'm wrong.

yes, he's the subleader. Big Grin

While the male had no problem being a social drinker he hadn't expected to have another just happen upon his hiding place half smashed stumbling and giggling to boot. His twin oversized ears pricked up as he turned his head to the side to catch sight of the intruder. He almost couldn't help but smirk as he realized it was the girl that Winifred had greeted at the borders. He was impressed to see her still hanging around though he wasn't about to tell the woman that just now. He wasn't even certain he could string a straight faced sentence together anyways and he wasn't about to try and hold a civilized conversation right at the moment, besides, she didn't seem like she could use a sensible conversation.

He chuckled and took another shot of the whiskey before letting it settle down beside him in the hay and cross his arms behind his head as he returned the greeting, his soft Irish lilt taking hold as he spoke. " 'ello.." His stormy orbs watching as she made precious hold of the bottle she'd found, lord knows were, though he could imagine. His mother had brought quite a bit of the wicked substance back to Phoenix Valley from the city, why he didn't know, but if she was alive right now he's sure thank her.WTF, an egg? He grinned as he asked, "Have we drove.. you to drinkin' that quick..ly" He'd already gone and done it, trying to piece together too much too soon. He'd got the words out atleast, though there was no way he could play at being sober, it was a good thing he didn't need to anyways.[/html]

Asariel eyed DaVinci with an amused glint in her pretty eyes. Phoenix Valley, driving her to drink so soon in her time living here? No, she'd like to think. It was a nice place. Green, though not at the moment. Well, there were little bits of here here and there, where the icky snow had finally started melting away. She didn't like snow. She took another swig from the bottle, trying to contain the giggles that wanted to escape. She laughed mirthlessly, instead. "No...not, at all..." She said, her words unstable, wavering and nearly stumbling over each other. She settled the bottle beside her, close to her hip. He had his own alcohol, so why would he want hers? "Phoe..nix Valley is really a...love...ly place to li--live." What had driven her to drink, she pondered to herself. Well, at this point she didn't have an answer.

Then again, it was a greedy world out there, after all. But no. She trusted DaVinci as her leader and one that was a higher rank than herself. Who was she to judge? She'd only arrived but maybe a week ago. She had no right to judge any members in the pack, especially those of a higher rank. She wrinkled her nose, then. There was also that Honore guy, who had said she was racist simply because she didn't like white; his pelt was white also and he simply took it the wrong way. Indeed, she could have worded things better. Still. How rude! She watched DaVi curiously, wondering what his story was. Everyone had a story. She wasn't sure if she should try to speak again. Everything sounded so broken up and stupid, but she was half wasted already so who cared? "So, Mr. ... Leader, why are you out here all...by your lone...some..." She frowned. Stupid words! It wasn't her fault she was drunk...no, of course not! It was the words fault! Yes, that made perfect sense to her wasted mind. She smiled a silly grin, satisfied that she'd gotten this cleared up.

He couldn't help but shake his head at her reply. Well if they hasn't drove her to drinking yet then he was quite curious as to why she seemed to be even worse of than he was this day. His stormy orbs took in the sight of the woman as she seemed to covet the liquor as though he would steal it at any moment. A wicked smile broke across his lips as he chuckled. "See if you'll feel the same in the morning.." he didn't know, but it didn't seem like the girl was the type to drink often and he would love to see just how she fared when reality set in and the world came crashing down on her skull, one throbbing mass of light, sounds and scents from the lovely glorious home about her.

He tossed back another as he sighed, the burn of the liquor flowing through his veins was enough to put him at ease, but the company at hand was another story. Such a distraction that didn't seem to know how to keep still or quiet, yet atleast she was amusing. His stormy eyes turned to glance over the woman as her words met his ears. He was silent a moment as the wicked grin lingered on his lips as he answered. "But I'm not now, am I?" He was a dangerous man now, in control and out of control at the same time. The burning blood in his veins and the high made his world tilt dangerously, and she seemed to be the reason for that at this moment.. not that he minded.. it made the world all that more interesting.
