Ril'o couldn't help but feel overwhelmed an stressed as his golden body trotted along the edge of the packlands, starting near his home and heading south early that morning an making it to the beach by that afternoon. Moving quietly his green eyes scanned the edges of the land while his nose was ever alert to any new smell, oddly he had become very protective here, very attached to this pack and many of the people. Though the arrival of his brother had kept him rather cautious lately more or less distant from many people more then he normally would, he just avoided him an anything that smelt like him. 'He'll never change, he'll only act..' That only was one thing that has been on his mind, though that doesn't not mean he will not do his duties but he as been running tracks in the ground out of this stress. Ears back Ril'o let his mouth open slightly with pats during his patrol, patting as his wide slender chest pumped air in his lungs and the energy to his limbs.

Yes, things have changed lately but the pack is getting through it or at least it seems to be. The pups missing with the every growing pack, along with the conflict on Svara things have almost been chaotic. Claws digging into the ground Ril'o wielded his thoughts away about the stresses, but he felt a small ping of guilt in his chest, he hasn't seen Ade, Sankor, Slay, or Cer in a while. Brows pushing together he did miss them but he wouldn't want them to see him like this,to see him angry and so distaste with his brother that he seem almost violent.

The rumble of clouds covered the sky as Ril'o slowed his run back to a trot, watching down in the valley was a small group of deer; mothers with fawns eating the spring grass and going about their day. 'I need to get what I can for the pack, we have more mouths to feed' Stopping just out of sight his green eyes watched the deer, studying to see which would be the best to get down. "hmm, that one, the doe" His voice was low enough for his ears as he locked onto the the injured doe, and with her young fawn it would be more meat to put away.

Ade here to ruin the hunt! Shall we consider our other thread done with?

It was high time to return home, though Adelaida couldn’t consider it. Since the incident with Alexey and Savina, she had stayed well away from the pack lands. The small shack in the Dampwoods, where her and her siblings had played as children and as adults, one stormy night she had Alexey had taken shelter and reunited quite happily, was more a home than Dahlia de Mai was. Pickles stuck close to her, alternating between squeaking sympathetically and annoyed. The mocha female knew Alexey wanted her companion back, and while Pickles was free to go, at night, when the female was feeling her lousiest, she would whisper to the little rodent not to leave her all alone again and then break into weeping, which would eventually lure her into sleep. The chinchilla did not leave, and Ade knew she had hit a new low, but she couldn’t help that now.

As she marched back into the packlands she became aware of two distinct differences. The first being that the borders had increased, probably due to the large number of wolves now residing within. Dahlia de Mai was perhaps the most populated clan in the area currently. Secondly, as she caught her own reflection when she paused at Oberon’s spring, she had become smaller. Adelaida was never very big, but her coat was thick and lush normally and now it hung about her, haggard and uncared for. Her bones were just started to stick through, Adelaida hadn’t been eating properly. Pickles often had to consistently nudge her awake and annoy her, until finally Adelaida gave in to the creature she could so easily crush within her jaws, and went out to find a meal. Normally it was only the remains of someone else’s lunch, already picked over by scavengers and what meat remained became to stink, but Ade did not believe she deserved much better. Alexey had said it perfectly. “She’s not worth it.”

Her new sorrowful state gave the girl little time to think on anyone else, and so while days after their last meeting Adelaida had floated in a strange and happy high, Ril’o had been mostly forgotten in the past days. Thoughts of him had been traded in for those of Alexey and Sankor, both of whom she felt had wronged her. It wasn’t until the deer had scattered, startled by her loud and uncaring entrance into the clearing, that she noted the male, who from a distance had obviously been stalking the animals she just caused to flee. The deer were gone, running further and further away, and Adelaida realized that her co-hunter had only been doing her job, and Adelaida felt that surge of sickness which usually accompanied the act of ruining anything for anyone.

Without knowing why, she turned and ran the opposite way of the deer. She did not want to face Ril’o, not looking like this, not right after she had ruined the kill for him. The lack of nutrition caused her body to tire early, but Adelaida forced it on, running away was one of the few things she excelled at in life. Yet over tired, she stumbled and slid along the ground, feeling the sharp stab of a rock or branch as it tore at her front leg then the sticky blood mixing with dirt. Then mud, she had neared close enough to the spring again that the ground was soggy with melted snow and ice, and Adelaida knew now, covered in mud and blood, skinny and frail, she looked more pathetic than ever. Unable to will herself up, she sighed heavily, closing her eyes and consenting to lay in the muck she had fallen into.

[ooc;Umm i guess so ^^ we can close it after i reply to it :3]

Everything seemed so ready to go into action, his body ready to leap down an chase after the deer; suddenly a commotion sent the deer darting out of the valley as his green eyes quickly got a glimpse of another wolf, but he could only get a fur color as he let out a snort of annoyance. 'wait what!' Ril'o being naturally curious bolted down the hill, though he was also wanting to make sure it was indeed a member of Dahlia de Mai; a loud flutter of feathers suddenly escaped from the bushes, kicking hard off the ground with his already down hill run the bird didn't make it clear from his jaws. Landing into his run Ril'o's golden body shined off the ground around him as his hind legs pushed to a halt, almost surprised his green eyes looked down at the large sized bird that was limp in his jaws, it's body filled with an assortment of colors as its warm body was a promise of food. Ril'o was proud of himself he had became better at hunting, before he would've missed the bird but it seemed his work out of stress had paid off.

Quickly darting down the hill his yellow body followed the brown wolf's s trial, following the scent his mind slammed into a wall all at once as it was accompanied by a crashing sound ahead. Brows pushed together a Ril'o slowed to a trot with all threats forgotten, but he could only wounder why she had ran before he could tell it was her, leaving him to follow. Green eyes watched, looked for her as he slowly walked up on the scene before him, his hard face softened to a worried one. His eyes took in her wound along with her body condition that showed through the thick wet mud, sighing he didn't know what to do but he was going to do what he made his mind up on,which only took less then a second.

Without thinking he dropped the bird on the ground before walking towards Adelaida, his paws sinking in the thick mud as his ears flickered back slightly as he was unsure yet not all in one. "Adelaida..?" His voice full of wounder as he closed the distance them out of, well he wasn't really sure, walking up to her side Ril'o dipped his head till it nudge her gently. He knew she didn't look good but he was going to help, even though his not himself, even though she's acting a bit odd. "some on lets get you cleaned up.." He didn't say anything about her running away though it sat in the back of his mind. Getting some mud on his muzzle Ril'o tried to encourage her to move as he sudden licked at her bleeding wound, he felt funny but he was going to help.

The painful churning of her stomach started up as soon as she heard Ril’o’s voice and she did not want to meet his eyes. Adelaida knew he was her, dirty and frail and laying pathetically on the ground, but she did not want to acknowledge that. Perhaps, if she did not acknowledge it, then it wouldn’t be true. Of all people, she didn’t want Ril’o to see her now, he was perhaps the last wolf in the world that held any sort of respect for her. And maybe he was about to loose it for her. For as long as she could, she stared dumbly ahead, but he approached, bending down and licking at her wound. Surprised at the tender touch she turned, her eyes meeting his and the churching in the stomach was accompanied by a strange warmth that spread from where he touched outward, it was like electric fire.

Her eyes, still bright and dazzling despite the rest of her appearance, looking up and she nodded, tucking her feet under her and slowing rising. Swallowing gently, she tried to think of something to say, but all the words that swam in her head sounded so stupid, so for a long while she just stood, letting Ril’o fuss over her just a bit. All the while she wondered why he bothered? Was he simply doing his pack duty? Would he do this for anyone else? And what did he think all the while? Adeladia could only imagine and she was not happy with the ideas she came up with.

“Ril’o…” Adelaida was completely unsure of what to say, she wanted to thank him, wanted to confide about her latest spat with Alexey, wanted to ask him to leave Dahlia with her and go someplace else… but none of that seemed appropriate, she doubted any of it would be received well. Instead she said the only other thing she could think of. “I’m sorry I ruined your hunt.”

[ooc;sorry for the lastness]

His green eyes looked at her brown form as he stood very close to her, Ril'o's gold body shining beside hers as he licked once more at the bleeding cut. He wasn't even aware that he was holding his breath, a part of him was scared being so close knowing she didn't like it, but he wasn't going to let her sit there in the mud when she looked hungry. Looking back into her blue eyes he was surprised, they shined so beautifully into his as their eyes appeared locked before she nodded and rose to her feet. Finally getting his breath he had expected her to grow angry, snap at him but her sad form shown her dazzling eyes that looked at him. Slowly moving his own bright eyes away Ril'o glanced about as his ears flickered, he was concerned but the strange feeling he had before came back to him like a crashing wall with the look in her eyes. She looked sad but they looked so alive, so so lovely.

Hind legs shifted as he gave her room to move before he looked over his shoulder to the bird he had caught, his mind rolled over and over what or how he should fix the meal for Ade; maybe she would want something different anyway.
Ril’o…
"hmm" It was a simple response that was smooth and natural while his gold head turned back to the pretty brown wolf in front of him, letting a low sigh escape his smiled at Ade as the strange nervousness that he gets, the warm feeling in his chest was there though his mind was still filled with the worried thoughts about the pack an it's members; it was simply a distraction that somehow made him confident around her now, maybe because there was much he wanted to say. Blinking Ade's words made him tilt his head for a moment before shacking it as he stepped slowly towards her but simply passed right by as his feet stepped into the chilly water, looking back he spoke in his warm and inviting tones. "It's not ruined, simply a learning day..though everyone has their moments and somethings are more important then that hunt. There will be more Ade." Looking at the sky for a moment he didn;t let his worries bother him as she needed him right now, unknown to her or not as he smiled at her with his tail wagging in the blue water. "Don't you want to get the mud out of your fur? The water will help a lot more then cleaning yourself alone, besides I'll just track something done later, but for now I'll pluck the bird when we're done." Glancing down Ril'o could see everything he said sounded so inappropriate as nervousness begun to pull at his chest, ears flickering he quickly spoke again in stumbling words. "Umm I'm sorry, I mean I shouldn't have asked to help..well unless you want my help." Pausing his shut his green eyes out of embarrassment as he spoke again."I'll clean the bird for you..I'm sorry for intruding Ade.."

Ril’o was not angry and Adelaida didn’t know what to do with his kindness. It all seemed so sensible, there would be more hunts and the priority was getting her cleaned up. Any other canine would see it that way, anyone but her. For her, having ruined his hunt was shameful and wrong, she had messed up and the mocha female had no idea why he wasn’t angry. Furthermore, she was no longer a priority, Ade knew that to be true. And so, she stayed in the mud, waiting for more words from the male and he rambled on, trying to comfort her maybe, or maybe he was nervous and didn’t know what to do in this situation. Adelaida had a knack for putting others in uncomfortable situations.

And then he was unsure, apologizing for intruding and not sure if he help was wanted or not. Adelaida blinked up at him, still trying to understand why he was still here at all. She was a mess and the only person she could imagine dealing with this was Sankor, and that was only out of a sense of responsibility. Ril’o owed her nothing and she him staying here, being kind, was uncalled for. He was doing it by choice. Somehow, that pleased her, but the mental image of her skinny, shaggy form kept her from enjoying it too much. Pulling herself up to her feet, her voice was soft and defeated. "It’s okay Ril’o. I’m glad you’re here."

Adelaida did as the male bid, dragging herself over to the clear waters of the spring and immersing herself in them. While she made no real effort to wash away the mud or pull the mats from her coat, the mud came away readily, a brown pool of filth surrounding her in the pool as it came off her body. When she came out she was clean, even if her coat hung closely about her body emphasizing just how thin she had let herself get. Her stomach had mostly grown accustomed to her sporadic meals, but the blood from the bird he had killed wafted up at her and she unconsciously licked her lips, eyes flitted quickly from the prey to the predator who had brought it down. Though he had already offered it for her, she felt too scared to ask him.

Ril'o only opened his emerald eyes when his ears flickered to her movements as well her soft voice, lids slowly moved as it seemed her words took a second to actually register in his mind. She was happy to see him!! A smile pulled across his maw as she entered the water to wash herself clean,it seemed that all at once his heart threatened to leap from his chest as his tail battered away behind him. "really, you mean it Ade?" His voice was more excited then anything as her simple words warmed his chest, something about the fact she, Ade liked him being there that made him very happy. Ril'o turned from the water as she didn't seem to need help washing it out of her fur, though his golden ears picked up the sounds of her hunger when he spoke about the bird. Ril'o was over happy and he had to keep reminding himself to stay calm, because his packmate and well his crush would think his retarded or at least dumb.

Paws splashed out of the water as his golden fur hung down from the water that was inside it, looking back his brows frowned when her fur hung down too, she looked more skinner then before. Deep down Ril'o was worried about that, a wolf should always keep a good weight own itself, well hell anything should try too. " If you would like a fire just let me know, cause I'll make you one." Walking up to the bird his paw pushed on the tail as his mouth and teeth pulled out its colorful feather, licking at times RIl'o would spit, trying to get clumps of feathers off his tongue. "get off, blah!" Shacking his head he finally got the last of the feathers out of his mouth and off the bird, looking back at his tail wagged with a warm smile before picking up the bird an walking towards her. "here it's all clean" His words were muffled by the bird as his green eyes shined while a goofy smiled pulled on his lips, he couldn't help it Ril'o was just to happy to see her.

"N-no thanks." Adelaida tried to smile, but a fire was simply too scary. Wolves were not meant to have fire, and in order to build one a wolf had to shift, needed opposable thumbs. She did not wish to see Ril’o that way, not now and not ever. Adelaida could live with wet, cold fur and uncooked meat. It was the way life worked and she was happiest being so simple. Gratefully she took the bird from him and became to eat. With each swallowed bite her stomach screamed for more, it did not take kindly to her days of fasting and would work twice as hard to squeeze every bit of nutrients from the meat she consumed now.

So busily did she eat, she almost for got mostly about Ril’o. Only when there was a barely anything left on the bones did she look up and realized how quickly she had devoured his prey. “Sorry Ril’o! You didn’t get any… you can have the r-rest.” Secretly she wished that he would not take it back, the pathetic amount of meat that was left. Her stomach still craved it, and the bones too could be eaten and put to use inside her body. However it was his and she did not intend on robbing him, completely, of what belonged to him. Nervously, she waited for his decision, embarrassed at eating so ravenously in front of him but unable to forget the morsels laying at her feet.

[ooc;]

Blinking Ril'o's green eyes watched her as he nodded with a smile to his brown friend, thinking he remembers the time they had talked together. He should have been smarter then to ask about a fire since he knew Ade was afraid of shifters, himself included, and things are different since he had first meet her. Just the smallest change but a change. Ril'o wasn't sure why he adored her so but either way he hasn't really felt this way before, maybe it is just a crush but either way Ril'o just smiled his big goofy smile as his tail wagged behind him. "ok then.." His warm voice danced off his lips as his brows pushed together as a lone feather appeared in his mouth, licking and moving his mouth Ril'o finally got the last feather away from myself.

His ears pricked forward at Ade's words about the bird-which was already eaten- as he glanced over he couldn't help but laugh with his warm grin, shacking his head Ril'o to a seat close to Ade before speaking. She was hungry, more then he was at the moment so it didn't bother him one bit. "no, no,no it's ok! If your hungry Adelaida eat, really I'm fine." His golden tail thumped the ground as his green eyes shined. If the bird wasn't enough then Ril'o would be sure to get more, sighing the small laugh was good before he spoke again. "If that isn't enough I can get you another one.."

He blessed her to finish the rest and the morsels were gone in moments. The raw bones, fragile and delicate, went next and soon nothing was left of what was once a living, breathing creature. Licking her lips, she once again remember Ril’o watching her above and she smiled up at him, grateful for the meal but a little embarrassed at how quickly she had consumed such a gift. It had scarcely been a few moments before the meal was devoured. And now he offered to find her another one. Though her stomach rumbled with it’s newly acquired persistent growling, she shook her head. "No, that’s okay." He had done enough, he was always doing too much.

The male seemed so happy to please her and Adelaida smiled sadly at him. She was preparing to leave, but she wouldn’t tell him so. Alexey didn’t want her here and Sankor hadn’t done much of a job of convincing her to stay either. Losing Ril’o would be a sad thing, but he was after all a shifter. She knew better than to get too involved in with him. “Why are you so nice to me?” Why indeed? Maybe it was just the way he was. Maybe he was indeed just nice to everyone, and she hoped it was that way. It would be easier letting him go then.

[ooc;]I'm ashamed of my lateness but life is unkind!

Ril'o's mind drifted off for a brief moment, his green eyes were bright as they glanced at the water. In that small moment of thought, small bits of content wondering that the golden wolf let flash over his brain all his enjoyed memories. No doubt this current moment will hold its place with the past, though Rilo is not one that holds onto bad memories; his emerald eyes search out all the enjoyable thoughts and actions, peaceful friends and his home. Taking a deep breath in, his smile never left his lips as the sweet scent of spring filled his lungs, flowers of all colors with the berries and honeysuckles smell so sweet. The new green grass even makes the land look more alive with its singing birds. This brief moment was simple and enjoyable to Ril'o, it was happy and relaxing but it was best because of his company, Adelaida.

Looking over for a second he watched his brown friends eat the rest of her meal; with happiness, and a bit of thankfulness he would say. Not saying anything he was just proud to have helped her, helped Ade when she needed it. Wide ears listened to her decline of his offer to gathering more food, ears twisted fro a moment in slight confusion. He was sure she might still be hungry but he didn't protest her words, though Ril'o was just eager to please and help her. Not entirely sure why, he was purely aware he liked doing it no matter what for her, a warm feeling pooled in his chest be it was over looked. Tilting his head Ril'o's warm voice pulled from his throat with a welcoming curiosity "You sure? well ok then." Ril'o kept watched her with his warm eyes in a adoring way, though he didn't mean to be rude or even so unsettling by staring as he looked away for a moment hopping she didn't notice. Tail swayed constantly as Ril'o's body pushed itself off the ground to get something to drink, it was a pleasant thought neck to the dry taste of the feathers that lingered. Ade's next words brought Ril'o's body to stop mid-step as his ears turned to her voice, a lump formed in his throat as time seemed like forever when he turned to sit back facing her. 'why?..um..well' His eyes stayed on the ground as nervousness flowed him like a broken dam, in all truth he didn't know how to answer the question without giving away his crush more or less feelings for her. "why, umm..well" His warm voice broke off as his green eyes peaked up for a brief second, tail pulled close to him as if it would make him disappear under her beautiful blue eyes. 'don't say it...she might not like it' Taking a deep breath his mouth opened as id to answer the simple question, staling he gulped down some air as he reopened his mouth with shaky words. "Adelaida, I like to make you happy..it's just.." Pausing his mind told he not to but at the same moment it said yes. "I just like to see you smile.." His green eyes glued themselves to the ground as he fought the blush on his face.
