It had been a few days since Orion had thought about his family, slowly the pain of missing them was fading into the back of his mind. He knew that moving on was part of life, but someday he hoped to see them again. Since he arrived at the new pack Orion hadn't gone far from the manor only spending a little bit of time exploring the rest of the building. He chose to shut himself up in his room for hours a time just mulling things over. He felt restless, he needed to get outside and stretch his legs.

The cold air felt good on his face, it was refreshing, reminding Orion of the way he would spend hours out just exploring and hunting, the things he always loved to do. He decided to head southwest from the manor, down towards rabbit lake. The thought of hunting again gave Orion energy he wanted to show the new pack that he could provide for them. The ground was starting to soften up now that spring had arrived his paws became muddy as he got closer to the water with all rain that had been falling with the melting snow. The cold had never bothered Orion but he wasn’t sure how much prey would also be out in this temperature.

It didn’t take long at all for Orion to spot a rabbit beside a tree just sitting looking peaceful. He circled slowly around behind where the rabbit was looking, stalking from tree to tree waiting a few seconds before making each step. He was careful not to step on any twigs that might break and cause sound, he was ten meters away, the dark gray beast lowered his body to the ground. It was over in a matter of seconds, Orion had pounced and caught the rabbit between his teeth before it had even had time to react and turn to see the hunter coming for it. Orion didn’t mess around with his prey he killed it instantly not wanting to cause the rabbit any pain in death.

Feeling elated on his first big kill Orion decided that he would take the rabbit back to the manor to share with the pack. He had taken a few steps back towards the manor when he heard something a few hundred meters away. Orion had not met anyone but Savina so far, he was frightened that possibly some of the other members of the pack weren’t as friendly as she was. He headed toward the noise to see who it might be.

She was beginning to slowly realize that she was in the wrong place, that these weren't neutral territories any more, but every direction that she turned seemed to take her deeper and deeper into Crimson Dreams. The small pup had been walking for what felt like days, and her paws were so tired! She didn't want to stop and risk someone coming across her and attacking her because she was out of place...so she continued to walk anyway. Eventually she would cross through the territory, wouldn't she? There had to be another side to it, another boundary. Once she was out of it, she would find somewhere really high up and try and see if she could find her way back to Phoenix Valley.

The lost brown whelp shivered a little bit as she went. It felt particularly cold today, a bite of winter coming back, and she wasn't really prepared for it. She had left her pack early that morning with the intent of taking a look at what laid beyond the borders, but she'd gotten turned around somehow. Now she was really lost.

Addison looked nervously around, her gold and blue eyes quick to notice movement in the brush. Was someone else out there? Jefferson had warned her not to go away from Phoenix Valley, and she hadn't listened. Maybe she would get what was coming to her, not listening to her parent...maybe this wolf would be hostile. There were a lot of maybe's. She stood still, hoping that the other creature wouldn't notice her and that they would just pass on by.

As he proceeded towards the sound he had heard Orion was feeling unsure of his own movement. He hoped that this wolf was a member of his pack, not wanting to engage into conflict. Orion thought that there may be a slight chance that this was an outsider so he proceeded with a bit more caution. Knowing that it was part of his job not to help protect the pack's borders it was important that Orion atleast made contact until a higher officer could deal with a newcomer.

Each step seemed to increase Orion's fear, he had never really been in a fight before. What if the intruder is hostile? I guess I'll have to learn to fight sometime. Orion moved closer, he saw the brown pup small looking somewhat troubled. Orion's fear subsided, even if he was to engage in a fight surely he could defeat this pup, knowing what it felt like to be lost and scared empathy had crept into Orion's mind. He wanted to sound authoritative but not threatening when he spoke to the pup not sure if she was in his pack or from another. "Hello, my name is Orion, are you from the Crimson Dreams pack?"

Orion was hoping that this pup was also from Crimson Dreams but if not he was prepared to defend the borders. The pup seemed like little threat to him but he also didn't want to underestimate the little brown wolf. If she was not from around the area he would escort her to the borders or else call for Savina or another officer to come and talk to the newcomer. The look on the pup's face looked lost more than threatening though and Orion felt that he should do the right thing and attempt to be helpful. Still being new in the pack Orion wanted to make sure he was making a good impression.

I'm so sorry for the wait! <33 I had no internet.

She didn't know what to do in these strange lands. Everyone in her pack was really nice and friendly, but what were they like over here? With a name like Crimson Dreams...it couldn't be good. Maybe all the wolves here were really mean. Addison didn't want to have to fight anybody, and didn't think that she would win, but she was willing to if she had to.

But it didn't seem like that would happen. She did know the names of a few wolves here, some Naniko wolf that led the pack and another couple of ones that she had seen or heard of. Maybe she could lie and say she was here looking for one of them. She just wanted to make the situation run more smoothly, and didn't want to have to worry about her being in someone elses' lands.

It seemed to her that this wolf might be new to the area...or maybe he'd just become a member. Because he didn't know that she didn't belong there! The young female thought quickly. She could just tell him that she was a member! She cleared her throat, speaking. "Yes I am!" There. It was that easy! "You are too?"

Heh, it's all good, I've just been flying between Vancouver and Nebraska here so I've been busy I apologize

Orion was new to the pack, but he had not seen this pup around before, his mind wandered wondering if she truly did belong here. There was a simple way to check, he would ask Savina once he returned to the manor. For now he thought he should be friendly to this pup as he knew what it was like to be lost and wandering. The air was still crisp but the sun was shining now almost elevating Orion's mood.

The words were chosen carefully as to not reveal to much about Crimson Dreams just incase she was not from the pack, Orion was wary of anybody new he met. "Yes I am from Crimson Dreams, did you come here on your own? Or were you born in Crimson Dreams?" The questions were simple but he knew if she responded either way he could find out more about this pup.

She was quite small, Orion didn't doubt if he needed to he could overpower this pup. The fear subsided though from Orion as he relaxed some, having some sort of control over the situation calmed his nerves. There would be no need to fight he knew, and just simply figuring out who she was wouldn't take long.

Addison had to think quickly. He was really good at asking questions! Hmmmm. She knew that she was related to Naniko somehow, because they both had the same name...but she didn't know how distantly. She could say that and have it not be a lie. "I is related to Naniko D'angelo! Born here." His leader! She wondered what he would have to say to that. Had he even met Naniko yet?

Addison started to walk away from him a little bit, shrugging her shoulders. "Where did you come from? I is trying to find my way out, to go see someone. Can you take me to the border?" She requested, blue and gold eyes fixed on the stranger. She could trust him that much, couldn't she? She would be so happy to get home to Phoenix Valley...and then she would never have to see him again.

Orion had heard of Naniko before, he knew that Naniko was a high ranking officer in the pack. If this pup truely was related to Naniko it would be easy to check and see, if necessary Orion could ask Savina. Trying to sound authoritative Orion spoke "I came from another pack a long ways away, I'm new to Crimson Dreams but I do know of Naniko. I can take you to the border, but if you wish to speak with anyone in the pack I can lead you to the Manor."

The warm spring air had lifted Orion's mood, he wanted to be helpful to the pup but also make sure he did not let his guard down. He would take this pup wherever she needed to go, and try to be helpful, the last thing Orion wanted to do was to intimidate a family member of Naniko, it could have repercussions.

She was a D'angelo, after all, and a distant cousin to the leader...but she wasn't Naniko's pup and hadn't been born here. Addison didn't mind lying to get her way, using whatever information she could. She smiled sweetly at the adult, her small tail wagging. He was being really nice, telling her that he would show her to wherever she wanted to go. Maybe she would come back this way someday, and run into him again when she was a bit older. Hmm. Maybe she shouldn't have used her real name.

Addi jumped up and down with excitement, nodding enthusiastically. She wanted to find her way back home to Phoenix Valley, and he would help her. Maybe they would find some kind of an adventure along the way, too! The girl started off into the woods, then looked back at him. Was she going the right way?

Sorry this has taken so long to respond, I've been up in Canada visiting my family

Orion hadn't been outside of the pack's borders since he had arrived a few months previously, the thought of leaving the place he now called home scared him. He knew though that this pup needed some help and as reluctant as he was about helping her it couldn't be that dangerous. Hopefully this journey would end well, he dreaded the thought of being lost out in the wilderness once again. Orion lifted his head up and smiled at the pup, "I'll take you as far as you need to go, just lead the way."
