Firefly stood outside the lighthouse. The scent of death was old but the coldhearted woman was curious to see just what was left of the corpses. Her silvery beige paws padded one by one to the door of the lighthouse until she was right before the door, the scent stronger but still old as she narrowed her eyes slightly and glanced around before pushing the door open and revealing the carnage. A warped smile spread across her lips as she studied the remains from the doorway. One arm crossed over the other she leaned against the frame and whispered. "Well, well.. the work of an artist.." a soft chuckle falling from her lips as she went on inside.

Nothing about the carnage surprised her, in these lands of monsters and deamons it was just another page in time. She kept her ears perked to make certain that she was alone as she bent over one of the bodies, poking at the remains with a stick as she watched a small gathering of rats scurry out of her way and away from the array of free meals the killer had left them with. Her eyes shone with excitement as she pushed the body off to the side before stepping over the remains of another.

She glanced up at the stairway that lead to the actual beacon only a moment before she began her accent to the story above. There might be a wreck of bodies down below but that didn't bother her, she wasn't part of the problem and she doubted that the killer was returning with another body anytime soon, it had been moons since the others had died. Something must have changed.. why had they just stopped, but whatever was the answer she wasn't looking for it just now.
