The girl was lucky that the weather was so warm, and she knew that. The young girl moved slowly, thoughtfully choosing her footsteps as she moved over the unfamiliar terrain. She moved, almost as though she had delved into a dream. Although so young, she had traveled over the span of several miles in search of a woman she knew by name alone. Perhaps it was silly to wander, or to "go off on a lark" as her father would say, but that was why her parents had given her the moniker to begin with. She was a dreamer. She moved through planes that only existed in prism-colored clouds.

Her pelt was light gray, the color of dissipating storm clouds. Her light green eyes flashed as her eyes sought a woman whose face would be like a reflection of her own. The youth was lanky, growing into her adult body. Her long legs told of a future of tallness, but the rest of her body had yet to fill out. She was scrawny and gangly, with a look that permanently spoke of hunger. But she was far from underfed, able to fend for herself if need be.

Her mother's sister had always come up in the strangest of stories, and Lark wanted to find her. She only knew that her Aunt Geneva had gone north with her uncle, Jordan. The young wolf wanted to lay eyes upon the woman that supposedly looked like her. Lark hadn't taken after either of her chocolate colored parents, a snowy outsider in her earth-hued family. Adventuring was a tradition that lay thick within her blood, and she hoped that this adventure would prove to be the best of all.

welcome to souls. & please do not mind Anu

What of that moment? The seconds and minutes were blurred in her mind, and she was left with a memory that was so jumbled that it made her head ache. It wasn’t until far into the day that the female had woken, her body aching and her head full of the visions that were confusing and unsettling. But blue eyes blinked into the bring spring day, becoming more clearer as she woke. With stiff legs, the wolfess left the manor and entered the fresh air.

The grass was warm against her paws, leaving a soft path for her to walk. Though her body and mind protested against it, she knew that the more she moved the less dazed and aching she would be. Light thin legs propelled her towards the lake, and then further near the boarder. What drove her away from her soft bed was unknown. Was it the thought of the wolf in her drunken memory? Or was it the constant pull of her weak and beaten heart? So eager to find the one who held it with bloody fingers. What ever it might have been, the fey walked with a purpose.

The scents that hung in the air were to be of hers. The pack was included in such a description, and when she inhaled there was something odd riding the gentle breeze. Black nose rose to take it in, and as she drew each short breath the fur along her back began to rise. Blue eyes watched the path leading small paws to traverse over it swiftly, and she took her trot to a sprint. Light and lean Anu was faster then most, and she met the scent in mere moments.

Slowing Anu approached through the trees with a hesitant step. A stranger, young as the spring saplings and bright eyed as the new blades of grass wandered towards and through their territory. Anu blinked, halting her approach all together. Watching her, the light pattern of her coat and the bright green gaze that focused on nothing in particular, but surly she in the future moments, Anu took the few steps that still held them apart.

Holding herself with rank, Anu spoke. Hello there. Her voice was calmer then she expected, but then again what would have made it waver?
