In ur forumz, makin' mah threadz.

The young man, despite being two and a half years old now, had never lost his childish tendancies. No matter the things that he had been through, the hardships in his life, and how much he had grown (whether he knew it or not) there was still a child inside of him that would not leave. It was most apparent now, as the sandy colored male moved beneath the earliest signs of morning light, pulling along a little red wagon behind him. He'd had the small wagon for ages, ever since he was small, and the signs of it's life were now showing. Rusted and hardly even what he would call red anymore, and no matter how much he had fiddled with it, the wheels of the little red wagon still creaked and groaned as they turned. The horrid sounds that it made and the struggles to get it to move didn't matter to Jasper though. He couldn't get rid of it. Wouldn't. It had been a constant in his life for quite some time now.

Unfortunately for the young Inferni male, his glee over the warm weather and being able to drag his wagon out once more had over taken his paranoia. He didn't go out often for fear of what he would find, or what might find him, but the thought of warm weather and spring flowers made staying inside so hard. He'd passed over the Dahlia de Mai borders some time ago, wandering deeper and deeper into the lands, seemingly without a care. He hadn't visited the other packs of the area, all he had ever known was Esper Hollow and now Inferni, which meant he didn't quite know where they were located. The lack of a working nose only made it worse, unaware of the borders that he had crossed some time ago, of the fact that he only wandered deeper and deeper into potential trouble. The place seemed quiet enough though, empty, and the thought of the place belonging to a pack never once crossed his mind.

Dahlia de Mai had grown in size; the pack was home to seven puppies now. And all of them had basically appeared out of nowhere, aside from the Lillium’s two sons. Never would she have expected to care for so many children. Well, she didn't really have to care for them all since Cercelee acted as the primary guardian for her distant cousins, and she was doing great. Conor and Emwe were the ones demanding most of Lexey's attention. Their mother had been expelled from Dahlia de Mai just recently; only their father remained. And Haku was far from a good parent.

Lexey had been spending some quality time with the boys when an unfamiliar smell had reached her nostrils, coaxing her away from them. Haku was still holed up in his cabin, but she found comfort in the fact that he was close by if she ever needed his assistance. The stranger's scent was strong; he had obviously disregarded the clearly defined borders and ventured deep into claimed territory. Although she hadn’t encountered anyone from Inferni in over six months, their stench was unmistakable. Both of her ears were laid flat against her skull as worry washed over her like never before.

Alexey feared an ambush. It was unlikely that a clan member would simply waltz into enemy lands without a plan. They were far too wise for that. Needless to say, she definitely hadn’t expected to stumble upon a helpless-looking male and his little red wagon. The Acer’s jaw dropped open. Golden-colored orbs watched him skeptically, confusion written all over her face. Was this some kind of joke? “Inferni,” she hissed through clenched teeth, loud enough for him to hear. One of her hands unconsciously went to the arrow wound on her shoulder, a souvenir from the Dahlian – Inferni war. "What are you doing here, boy?"

The scent was unmistakable, and it was threatening to ruin an otherwise lovely day. Elliott had been gone already when Kol had awakened in the early light of dawn, but it hadn't worried her. For one thing, the brute was undoubtedly to go toe for toe against her brother, so she knew he could handle himself if any trouble should appear. Taking her time to uncurl herself from the comfort of the bedding the two of them shared, Kol had spent a lazy morning out on patrol, something she finally felt healed enough to actually do.

Unfortunately, it seemed that she might be the one to encounter trouble, and not her handsome lover.

At the first scent of Inferni in the lands of Dahlia, Kol had found herself following along its trail. Whoever owned the scent had blatantly stepped past the border and continued onward, deeper into the packlands. The Stormbringer crouched low in her optime form as she tracked its length, all the while her violet eyes burning dangerously as a steady growl emanated from her white-splashed chest. It took a little while, but finally she came upon the trespasser's location, and she stopped for a moment in utter shock. The mutt was dragging along some kind of human contraption she'd often seen in picture books of human young, his stance completely unassuming and child-like. Never taking anything for face value, Kol's hackles rose and she stalked toward the scene quick enough to hear Alexey's authoritative inquiry. Her best friend had risen swiftly up the ranks, and Kol nodded ever so slightly to her as she took a place beside her. Lexey was the highest authority in the situation, and Kol was simply on the scene as backup. Violet eyes burned holes in the sight of the Inferni male, and her guard was up no matter how benign and innocent he appeared to be.

Inferni. He heard it faintly, startling the young man and causing him to jump and spin. He saw the woman there immediately, just a short distance away from him, who spoke just as promptly yet again. Jasper was silent as he stared, confused and unsure. It hadn't come to his mind that the scent of Inferni now clung to his fur, having not been able to smell for so long, he was now use to there being nothing. That, and the fact that he wasn't a coyote at all, not even a bit. "I-I didn't do anything." He stuttered finally, awkward and quiet, only then noticing the appearance of yet another, still unaware of the fact that he had passed the borders of a pack quite some time ago.

"It was q-quiet here." He muttered faintly, eyes roaming between the two of them nervously, holding on to the handle of his little red wagon tightly. "I was just getting flowers.." His voice had gone from scared to both scared and sad, not wanting to get in trouble just for wandering around to find some flowers to take home. "I-I'll leave, if you want." He told them, more than happy to turn tail and get the hell out of there. As much as he felt paranoid just being in Inferni, it was only when he left that he actually found himself in any kind of trouble.

Kol was at her side within moments. And although the ebony femme did not speak, her presence was comforting enough. It was a good thing that it was her, and not her brother. Alexey couldn’t bring herself to attack someone who displayed such blatant submission. And she could only hope that Kol would understand her point of view. The boy had violated the rules, yes. But he seemed completely oblivious as to where he was. Perhaps it was all an act, but he hadn’t shown signs of animosity thus far. And Lexey refused to punish him without a solid reason to do so.

The Lillium would’ve thought differently, of course. Drey would have also. Luckily, the sad-looking male had stumbled upon a more… reasonable duo. What were they supposed to do with him though? Amber-colored eyes suddenly turned to Kol, studying her face for an answer. Her attention then returned to the clan member. He’d taken the time to state the obvious, how he hadn’t done anything wrong. A frown creased the Acer’s forehead, and she promptly delivered a reply. “Do you know where you are?” Surely Inferni had warned him not to mingle with Dahlia de Mai. It wasn’t like Gabriel to omit this kind of information.

The trespasser submitted quickly enough, his stammered explanation betraying no sign of ulterior motive. Still staring him down, Kol felt her heart tug slightly, and the view of the timid male was overlayed with a vision of her own runty brother, Skripi. Light fur became black, mismatched eyes became a uniform silvery grey. He had been similar in nature, and had always striven to prove he was as worthy to carry the Stormbringer blood as any of his siblings. Perhaps that was why, out of any sibling she and Drey could have lost in the conflict with the Dawnrunners, Skripi's death had cut the most deeply.

Kol's hackles softened ever so slightly, her face falling from threatening snarl to stoic stare. Her eyes grew more gentle when they met Lexey's gaze, and she nodded subtley. She knew her best friend didn't want to call the Lilium or anyone else to forcibly remove the stranger from Dahlia, regardless of the Infernian's carelessness. It seemed to have been an honest mistake, even if Kol couldn't quite understand how he'd completely missed stepping over the border. The pair could probably afford to be lenient with him.

Since her friend was basically in charge of the situation, Kol was content to be moral and physical support. Alexey could play the forgiving but stern enforcer, while the Stormbringer could be the silent warning seemingly waiting to be given a command. The last thing she wanted to do was further frighten or hurt the pitiful male, but she would if it were to come down to it. Unspeaking, she simply focused her hard amethyst eyes on the stranger, awaiting his reply to Alexey's inquiry.

It wasn't until the woman spoke up again that Jasper had realized it. He really didn't know where he was. Instead of panicking like normal, though, Jasper turned to peer off behind him, scanning the area and then lifting his eyes to scour the air. Whatever he was waiting for, it never came, and he lowered his head slowly. He would never be as good at things as his father, expecting to find something in the air or the lands that might hint to him about where exactly he was. Not only would he be able to successfully answer her question, it would give him some reassurance that he would be able to find his way home without use of his nose, which had only just struck him in those few moments that he stood there.

"I.." He paused, taking one last moment to look around before bringing his eyes back to the pair of women. "..don't know." The words came out quiet, defeated. Why did it matter to them though? Did he look lost? Why did they seem so defensive? Another revelation hit him and, as always, Jasper jumped farther ahead to conclusion that he likely should have. His eyes teared up almost immediately, suddenly more frightened that he had been confused. "A pack land?" The words came out in a quiver of fright, dreading the answer, even though it seemed to make the most sense. And their punishment of trespassing was certainly death, wasn't it?

Kol will be gone for quite some time. We can just skip her for now, if you want. :3

She could feel the Lillium breathing down her neck, and just the thought of it made her hackles rise ever so slightly. There was no way he’d approve of her compassion toward the boy, she knew that much. But they couldn’t harm him, not until he gave them a solid reason to do so. Alexey watched the Infernian intently; her gaze coming in contact with his bi-colored orbs. They weren’t like anything she’d seen before. He intrigued her. “You don’t know?” she repeated, slightly baffled by his answer. Surely there was something wrong with him. How could he not know where he was?

The borders were clearly defined; even the pups were able to locate them. If mere children understood the difference between home and lands, why was it that this stranger couldn’t do the same? Alexey was about to speak when tears started gathering in the corners of his eyes. For a brief moment, she saw Conor instead of him. They were alike in so many ways. The Caregiver could only hope her protégé wouldn’t turn out to be like the male standing before her. “Yes, these lands belong to Dahlia de Mai. Not the best place to be picking flowers.” she said, narrowing her eyes skeptically. “Who are you?”
