I'm Libri, hi.

The mocking skulls that decorated the borders were not overly impressive, but it gave her the certainty of knowing. This had to be the place. A indistinct smirk materialized on the youth’s dark lips when the realization kicked in. The dark hued female had always been the one to lead the way, and she had once again been victorious. A pair of crimson globes lazily deduced the quiet landscape. There was a short life behind her. Corruption and revelations had given her the sight, and the three cursed offspring knew their roles well. They were meant for something greater, it was written in their blood, in their corrupted family lines.

Accompanied by the scarce rays of the slowly blooming sunrise, the young girl sat down at the Inferni borders, anticipating the arrival of her own kind that ruled this small kingdom. She was a lonely silhouette, but Halo Lykoi was not alone. Like the holy prophets, all three of them would follow fate and find the place where they were supposed to be. Her copper-black tail embraced the nymph’s lighter paws in a patient manner. Patience was a virtue, and the hybrid had a reasonable amount of it. Her stance was relaxed, but the glowing orbs of hers were sharp and observant. She prayed the clan would not fail to impress.

Hi Libri. (: Oh, Gig's in Luperci form.

bump

It was not in his nature to patrol the borders, nor was it his job. Today, though, the youth was out, possibly celebrating the restoration of his arm. It had taken bloody long enough (although, without the proper medical assistance he had required, what had he expected?), but he was free to bend it as he wished. Gig breathed in the morning air as he approached the line of skulls, meeting them with his usual conflict. It would be easy to give himself into the shallow, anti-wolf perspective. He himself knew of their cruelty. However, the hybrid could never fully give himself over to racism. Not only would it be a betrayal of his own genetics, he had known the company of wolves no different than any coyote. Furthermore, had coyotes not committed their own atrocities to be accounted for? He shook his head slightly, hoping his loyalty would be enough to handle the conflictions of his nature.

Giggle smelled the girl before he saw her. He approached her quietly, standing some feet away, to examine her briefly. Younger than him, with, fascinatingly enough, the same red eyes that Gabriel, Talitha and Ryan carried. Inferni really was a haven for red-eyed demons. He cleared his throat and spoke, his voice neutral. 'Greetings. Who are you?' His tone was formal, formal enough for this situation, he hoped.

The young hybrid let the time pass with ease, her intense glare shooting off into the distance. Unlike the incoming brute, her eyes caught him before her nose could. The fair airstream could be treacherous at times, but once she caught hold of his bright eyes she did not falter. She remained a fair statue as he let his gaze wash over her. The vague smirk was still plastered on the girl’s lips, and she let a hint of entertainment flash in those brilliant, crimson orbs. She found the delicate splatter of purple on his muzzle amusing, but only offered him a sly smile when he offered his greetings. Their age should not vary much according to her calculations, and so she felt her hackles rise ever so slightly as she let her eyes let go of his to get a better look at the rest of the male.

She was young, but not too young for foolish thoughts. The dark faerie’s lustrous orbs returned to the Inferni member’s face. ”Hey there”, she sang out in a light alto tone. Her delicate ears folded elegantly in a way of what could possibly be interpreted as submissive. ”I am Halo Lykoi.” According to her father, these lands should be ruled by her truest family, so she felt a fling of soft cheekiness, teasing. ”Who might you be, pretty boy?”, the youth wondered brightly, tilting her head in a manner that her mother always had described as adorable.

The Scorpius had to admit that the girl was beautiful. Despite this he felt no lust or longing arise in him- he viewed her beauty from a purely artistic vantage point. Giggle was not a sexual creature, if only at this point in his life. He watched the slight shifts in her body language with interest. She seemed to have total control of her environment. The male could not say he was honestly surprised as she gave her name. Another Lykoi- he could have guessed as much, if only from those crimson eyes. No smile was returned, as he never smiled. His eyes did, however, flash amiable, even as he was taken aback by her - was that a compliment? He couldn't be sure.

bump
'Giggle Dracon, Scorpius of Inferni,' he nodded slightly, still watching her body language. Breaking his look, he glanced sideways, checking to see if Gabriel or Ryan were nearby. Not yet. 'You're in your company here, you know.' He spoke in regards to her namesake. Even with Corona gone, there were quite a few Lykois (and, he surmised, the de le Poer line would be connected as well, somehow.) Giggle ticked them off in his head. Gabriel, Ryan, Talitha, Ezekiel, Zana. He couldn't begin to fathom what kind of family tree they spawned from. Instead, he flicked his gaze back to the Lykoi girl and offered a nod. 'I don't have the power to accept you, I'm afraid. I'll call for Gabriel,' he offered her, assuming she was in fact joining and not just visiting her extended family.

Lykoi was not the name she had been born with. She had changed it after spending time in her father’s presence, and so the three children had split up the names. There was no honour in being named after such a simple creature as a wolf like her mother. So, she had taken the beloved Lykoi name, foreseeing her reunion with the expanded family she had not even met. She was a hypocrite, reducing the Canis Lupus to something lesser than the type of being she was, but manipulation introduced at an early age could be quite powerful. It had been just that. The youth did not necessarily need a response back to get what she wanted. His eyes were friendly though, and she let her gaze linger pleasantly upon his face, enjoying the special attention while she had it.

The fellow’s name took the focus off the purple muzzle, but the young girl determined that his surname was worthy to be spoken out loud. "Dracon," the girl repeated soothingly. The rank meant nothing as long as she was unfamiliar with the hierarchy. She kept her pose up, accompanied by a few smooth beats from her rich tail. It was reassuring to get the vocal confirmation that she had reached her destination. ”How lovely,” the teenager expressed, wondering exactly how rich this clan really was. A light coated ear twisted to consider the man’s next words, and her smile bloomed delicately. ”Gabriel de le Poer, the infamous dog,” the girl mused, as if to herself. There was no mockery in her words. Vitium had told his children about this individual. It gave her a remarkable calm to know that her uncle held a high position here, even though she did not expect them to bond in any way.

Her face dipped slowly up and down in a reassuring nod. This was why she was here. She wanted them to offer her a home where she could embrace and understand what it truly was to be a Lykoi. Her father had whispered soothingly in her ears for months. Here they were Gods. She wanted to see souls burn. Her education required this of her.

At Giggle’s summons, the Aquila quickened his pace. He had been, as he most commonly was, patrolling and re-marking the borders. Nothing out of the ordinary had really occurred; the white-tail deer had been moving through their lands, and having marked their movement, he intended to later take one down. Shaking the dry grass from his coat, the hybrid soon came across the pair—one gray and purple, the other dark. What caught his attention, though, was the young girl’s eyes. They were far too familiar.
“Yes?” He asked, and looked to the Scorpius.

bump The girl seemed to know Gabriel, from her murmurs. He let back his head and gave a quick summons for the leader, who was prompt to arrive. The hybrid offered a dip of his head to the leader in greeting. He shot a quick glance to Halo, before speaking. 'This is Halo Lykoi. She wishes to join Inferni.' After that, Giggle fell silent. His presence wasn't required at this point, but he'd linger on until it was suitable for him to leave.

She had expected something more cheerful than the giggly person, but one could not have all. Her scarlet orbs rested comfortably on the older male until another creature made its appearance. The youth turned slightly to take in his form, and she could immediately see why Gabriel had been referred to as a dog. Not because he was unworthy of another name, but because he actually looked like one. It left no doubt in her mind that this was the Gabriel. Her dark fur bristled slightly without her taking any notice of it. Her lips slightly parted as her brain worked to find a suitable introduction to present, but it was ruined by the purple coyote with the silly name.

The child snapped her jaws tight shut before bringing back her coy smile. Maybe it was for the best that she let the boy talk. Her gaze had discarded her greeter to stay on the warm orange of the Inferni leader. She remained quiet to indicate that she had at least some discipline. Her time would come.

I'll be leaving tonight, so if we can speed through this thread it would be awesome. :]
Both ears swiveled at the name, and both eyes narrowed. “You’re dismissed,” he said shortly. He did not turn his head to watch the pale coyote go, but once he felt comfortable with the distance, a faint snarl crossed his maw. “Lykoi, huh? The last brat that gave me that name had no right to use it.” Advancing and testing the air, he recognized the scent, found it was familiar, but could not place it. It was clear that she was blood-kin. But there was a secondary scent, one that was remarkably familiar and set his hair on end. “Who gave you that name?”

I'll just go ahead and post then.

The first words directed at the girl made her jaw drop slightly. He was being rather harsh. He did not seem particularly impressed by her name, and that fact alone made her wonder what exactly she had expected from him. She could not help but instantly wonder who this brat was, and what that brat had done to lose its right to the name. The youth had not been entirely wrong in her belief though. Lykoi seemed to have a reputation, and it made her more intent to make a good impression. Gabriel de le Poer slightly unsettled her though, and she seemed unable to form a smile in his presence at time being. ”Vitium, my father,” the girl answered honestly, with a slight shyness attached to her voice. Halo did not utter another word. She was unaware of what her true surname would mean to the doggish male. Colibri and Soul had been disposed of because her daughter did not wish to be a part of her in any way. Blood was all that tied her to her ivory mother and the filthy scum that thought they were better than the rest. Halo’s heart knew better now. Her eyes could see clearly.

Vitium. A second ripple shook through his chest, a low and quiet growl, but the rage was not meant for her. His brother was a traitor; his brother deserved to die. Vitium had been the first of his siblings to turn, but Andrezej had been the first to die. Perhaps, though, this was incorrect—he had a long-dead sister, but he had never known her face and only met her brother once. Stillness overtook his face, but his eyes were remarkably vicious. “Your father should have no right to the name either. What’s your purpose in coming here?”

A sharp inhale shook the air between them when her uncle delivered a blow beneath her ribs. How dared he? The girl’s eyes stared accusingly at the Inferni leader, though there was a touch of confusion as well. Vitium had told his children great things about Inferni and their family lines. He had never uttered a negative word about Gabriel, so what the fuck was this guy on about? The girl clenched her teeth, feeling the need to rage a bit. Of course she kept her feelings in check, but the lighter patches on her face bloomed into a mild blush. ”What a nice thing to say about your own brother, Uncle.” The girl managed to keep the growl out of her voice, but her words were accusing. She regretted immediately, well aware that she was in no position to play the aggressive and rude part.

She moved her paws uncomfortably, letting her red gaze fall down to the ground. Her temper did not need much to burst into life. ”I want to join your clan and serve under you.” It was as simple as that. It was her dream. She wanted him to teach her everything he knew. The Lykoi girl felt that her childhood had been too isolated, so she had no proper experienced that could prove her as a bad ass coyote, but this was her childish goal. She had heard amazing stories, and wanted to be a part of it all. Most of all, she had wanted to be a part of Gabriel’s world.

For a split second, Gabriel felt a rush of hot air rush through his chest, from the fire burning in his heart. He took two steps forward, head and tail high, and used his height to display his rightful dominance over the girl. “My brother,” he began, voice cold and speech slow. “, turned his back on this clan years ago.” There was no denying this fact. Not when two of the witnesses remained in the Waste and the third was their mother.
Exhaling through his nose, the Aquila’s voice resumed a more natural pattern. “You may stay, provided you do not intend to follow in your father’s footsteps. We have several empty caves in the northwest and a house in the east, either of which you can stay at.” Flicking one ear dismissively, he eyed the young girl evenly.

When he advanced and towered over her, she could not help but lowering her shoulders and dragging her body down towards the hard soil. Her confusion increased with the man’s firm statement about betrayal. Her father seemed to have left out an important fact, and resentment filled her chest, directed at both her father and uncle, because she was left in the middle with loose facts that she could no longer trust. The youth found her teeth to be slightly bared in a defensive manner, and she quickly pressed her lips together to remove what could possibly seem like a treat or insolence in the Inferni leader’s eyes. It was not fair. She had intended to follow in her father’s footsteps, but they would lead her nowhere. Still young, the female wanted to start her sulking right there and then, but she managed to keep her upset feelings bottled up to be released when he had gone. She wanted to live in a house, for a change. ”I did not know..” the girl mumbled, barely audible. How could Vitium have filled their head with such tales if he had turned his back on the clan. Yes, she had never questioned why he had left Inferni in the first place. Done was done though, and her uncle seemed willing to give her a chance to prove that she was more worthy than her sire. She would have to accept that offer. ”I’ll be good,” the girl forced out, embarrassed because of her faulty family that seemed unworthy in Gabriel’s eyes.
