we prey as wolves among the sheep
and slit the necks of soldiers while they sleep

With the plastic nozzle pointed towards his face, Apollo studied the can he had held in his hand. He wasn’t quite sure how to use it just yet, but a little more experimentation would probably solve the mystery. He pointed the small nozzle towards the floor, so the pin point opening was facing away from him. He pushed the plastic forward, but nothing happened, and he was afraid he might break it. Sighing, the young Haddix boy pushed the silver hair from his eyes. The bandana didn’t do much to hold it back, as it was almost always in disarray. He pushed the plastic downwards into the metal can, and, voilà! A stream on blue paint spurted from the can, producing a thing layer over the concrete by his feet. Apollo chuckled to himself, "There we are."

Rising to his full height, he looked at the abandoned buildings around him. There was plenty here for him to decorate. He trotted over to the closet building, trailing down its side in a narrow alleyway. Lifting the can again, he pressed the magic button. Once again, blue paint sprayed from the nozzle and coated the brick wall.

Skylar couldn't stop thinking about what it was like to get this information off her chest. Telling Jefferson had relieved some of the stress, not all of it of course. The beautiful girl shoved a hand into her pink streaked wavy hair. Beads that were braided delicatly into her locks clicked together. Taking in a deep breath her white poets shirt hung way to big with a giant belt around her rib cage. The syle had been something she had worn ever since she had taken up being on the ship with Kaden back at the port.

Her tall ears flicked back and forth one was peirced all the way up to the tip. She had left Phoenix Valley for the day hoping to get some air and maybe see some places in souls she had not seen before. Stopping her tall ears flicked when the familiar sound of spray paint coming out of a can came to her. She'd only seen someone do it once before, but the experiance had been fun. Moving forwards she found the male at work with the can, a blue banndana wrapped around his forehead keeping his hair out of his face. He was handsome making Skylar grin watching him but saying nothing, her shy nature coming in.

___There wasn’t anything for him to actually paint on the wall, so he simply let loose and created a giant blob of blue. It was entertaining though, and he enjoyed the soft hiss as the spray burst from beneath his fingertips. A free hand brushed back strands of hair, as Apollo took a step back to admire his work. He grinned to himself, enjoying to rather ugly mess of blue that had begun dripping down the brick.

___An ear swiveled, and Apollo turned to fix his mismatched eyes on a stranger. She looked alarmingly familiar, but he was sure he didn’t know her. After all, being a young guy, he remembered all of the pretty girls he’d run into. "Ciao, bella." He said in a soft voice, the familiar crooked smile finding his features. "Enjoying the nice weather?" After all, it had started to warm up. Even now, Apollo didn’t bother to wear one of the shirts he kept stashed away in his backpack. Only the jeans that had been torn just above the knees adorned his body.
