Halifax

The bright sunlight shone down on Halifax, making the dead city look a little less bleak than it usually did. Though the coyote didn't mind it's bleakness. He preferred a bleak, empty city to the natural forests anyway. It was quieter her. Less occupied which gave the man the silence he wanted to think. He was perched on the ledge of one the partially crumbled buildings. His back rested against the outer wall while one foot dangled over the edge. In his hand he rolled a pebble in between two of his fingers. Where are you you bastard? All his recent searches to track down the crow wolf had proved less than fruitless. It made Onus restless. How could the man have disappeared as he had?

Hidden eyes stared with no focus through the dilapidated skyline. Last time Corvus had been in the city Onus had been able to sense the darkness of his presence. He was hoping that perhaps the man would come into the concrete again and he would be able to find him as he had before. Though the vigilante knew that probably wouldn't happen. His enemy was too smart for that. Even if Cwmfen did come to him like he wanted (and Onus hoped would not happen before he could track him down) he would not wait for her in the city. The city was too much the coyote's turf. While he had not defeated Corvus here, he hadn't lost either. No, the man would wait somewhere else. Somewhere unfamiliar to Onus.

He wasn't one for breaks, but he needed a short reprieve from his endless search. How futile it was all beginning to seem was wearing on his nerves of steel. Even while he was not out actively looking it was all he could think about. A quiet sigh came from his chest. Cwmfen, please don't go to him. What if I can't reach you before he does what he wants with you? That thought made him sick to his stomach.
