Never before had he seen such a place, intricate and decorative, perfectly made to catch the light and launch it around in a flurry. Even if that kind of light was the bleak greyness of the outside, combined with the snow, there was no worry of too much darkness in such a mystic cavern. From prisms to variously coloured, eroded walls, there was enough sights for a sensory overload like no other. Valentine wasn't all that far into the cavern itself, just barely within the rough walls themselves and already taking a quick study of the shallow room that delved down into a lesser lit tunnel.

He hadn't come unprepared, another quick rummage through the Concrete Jungle had come up with a lantern and fuel. Matches were never that hard to find. The cavern he had seen some time before, but thinking that had been some ordinary cavern had been incredibly wrong of him. It was much more than that, even better than some of the simple geodes he had seen over his life. Most of them were well mounted into the wall, but there were enough strewn across the cavern floor that he found himself having to watch just where he stepped to avoid having a sore foot for the rest of the day.

indentPhasma often cut through the Moaning Wood on her excursions to the city, which was what today was supposed to be all about. On her way back though, caught without the blanket she often carried along to keep her warm, she was caught out in the blistering wind. With the small wicker basket held tight against her body, she made her way into Bonefire, the one place that she knew she could find a place to take refuge. It wouldn't be the first time that she'd done so. It wasn't so much that it was a violent wind, just that it was very cold, and Phasma was starting to feel in setting in to her bones.

indentIt didn't take her very long to reach the entrance of the caverns, which she made a short sprint for and ducked inside as soon as she reached it. Exhaling some, the raven woman took a moment to look around, gathering herself and adjusting the basket on her arm. Usually she would have settled right down to wait for the wind to die off but something deeper inside, not to deep, caught her attention. The sound of footsteps, slow ones, rang clearly through the walls of the cavern. "Hello?" She called out, taking a few steps further inside.

One more circle of the room and he was just bending to grab the lantern when a familiar voice called out through the dimly lit cavern. “Over here,” Valentine called back, lighting a match to light the lantern. Once it was lit and the warm glow from the flame bathed the crystals in a new source of light, he lifted it up and took a couple of steps towards the opening where he expected to see Phasma. “I didn't think anyone else visited this place, as undisturbed as it looks,” he spoke again, starting up conversation. “Have you been here before?”
