Sorry for the delay. D: I haaaaate feeling like I am being watched on a computer. |: This ought to do it for this thread, and then you and I can continue in a new one, Akumu? Big Grin Or we could just continue here, either way. Totally up to you.

The silver woman remained quiet, allowing Hezekiah to state his piece, her golden eye flickering to Gabriel, gauging his reaction. He seemed less at ease with the situation than Kaena had been. Then again, Kae was not in his head, she did not know his exact feelings. Still, he had spun on his heels and taken his leave rather quickly after brushing the younger coyote into the clan, and the coyote woman watched him go for a moment, little emotion showing across her scarred features as the Aquila's golden hindquarters disappeared into the distance. With a shrug, she turned back to the newcomer coyote, offering him as reassuring a smile as she could muster.

"Funny how your own head can be your worst enemy sometimes," she commented, a general statement on the situation. She was no stranger to blacking out and losing it for a while—but she'd always reawakened in a familiar place, always been able to piece together the big picture, even if she was missing the details. It was entirely different from the tawny-brown coyote here before her; there was nothing he could recall that had gotten him here or wounded him so, and apparently when he'd reawakened as himself there was no evidence to help him put together the puzzle of what he'd done.

The coyote offered another smile, pointing her muzzle toward the heart of the coyote territory. "Off we go, then," the coyote suggested, stepping closer again so he might lean on her. It was nice having someone dependent on her, even if it was only a temporary circumstance—Hezekiah was no kid, but he was still an adolescent by far, hardly a yearling and already traumatized and brutally wounded. "It's not terribly far," she reassured him, contemplating what she'd do with him when they actually arrived. The idea of allowing a strange coyote to sleep in her cave seemed repugnant at first, but the coyote saw no other option. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad. After all, she'd crashed in Gabriel's cave for some time before seeking out her own residence. It was only fair to return the favor, if not to Gabriel, then to someone, at least.

Thanks to Akumu for the table!
