Private for Dawali, 500+

Finally it had happened. She had woken up in the early hours like she always did, but compared to most days, it was not the earliest birds, but her body that woke her up today. It had ached so strangely and she had instantly realized what it was. She had lied calmly in her bed with her golden eyes hidden behind their eyelids and smiled. It took longer than she had expected and she was surprised that it seemed like she was actually doing a lot of work. Well, the moment she woke up and recognized what was happening by instinct, she welcomed it and worked together with it. It was as if she finally had found a fitting key that successfully turned around and opened the door. When things stopped cracking and changing, she just lied in the double bed for a moment before her eyes opened and saw the world in a new light. Of course, there was little to no elegance when the girl scrambled out of the bed and fell down on the floor. Her limbs were so weird and unusual, but she knew how to do things. Or. She had grown up with luperci all around her, so she knew how to walk and stand. She just needed to get up there and do it.

The girl climbed up at the bed again and tried to stand up straight. It seemed to be alright. Noir had been ready for this for so long. She was shaking on her feet like a newborn foal, but she knew that she would get this right the more she walked. She danced out of her bedroom on light, yet very unsteady feet and danced through the first floor, a bit too nervous to dance down the stairs just yet. ”Uncle Ho!” the girl cried out in triumph only to realize that he was no where to be seen. The sound of a quacking Baby Duck with super long neck could be heard downstairs, but uncle Ho was probably out. So boring! She girl turned around in the hallway in thought, and then smiled widely. It was only Ho that had been able to do proper stuff inside the house and that meant that it did not look amazingly clean in the house. Noir had hands and feet now! Noir could clean lots now! The girl whined in joy and ran into her room (she fell once, but she was too excited to notice the pain) where she found a nice skirt that she clumsily managed to put on somewhat right. It even fitted!

Noir gathered whatever things that seemed to be sufficient for cleaning and started. It was soo much easier now when she had hands instead of paws. Hour went past, and eventually the girl even managed to get down the stairs and continue on the ground floor, removing dust and washing the floors until they shone. Hours and hours after when the sun stood high and triumphant on the blue sky outside, Noir fell down on the lawn outside of the house. She wanted to do something with this place and make a proper garden with lots of flowers. Not now though, because she was sort of tired and it was super nice just to lie here. Baby duck waddled around her in endless circles, nipping pieces of corn that she had thrown around merely moments before. She liked having Baby Duck around. She loved it no matter how weird it looked with its super long neck.

come dance with the west wind and touch on the mountain tops

A series of sounds had drawn him off his path and in the direction of the Aston den, and once there he found that his ears did not disappoint him. At first he said nothing, staring at the young female as she went this way and that, amused. Truly, Noir Aston would continue to fascinate him, and though she might act selfishly and foolishly from time to time, her heart was in the right place. He only stood there a moment before he stepped forward; a smile on his face and his arms outstretched - like a triangle, with its top point being his head. "Noir! What's this racket you're making, eh?" His voice was humorous, and he doubted the girl would misunderstand it as anything else. After all, that was the side of him she had seen most of the time the two had spent together, so she would be familiar with it. The whiskers on his muzzle and over his eyes shook a little as he awaited her reaction, and his smile remained on his face. He was getting old, but his furs already had natural traces of gray, so perhaps these long whiskers were the only thing giving him away. The baby duck who was no longer a baby duck waddled around here and there and provided easy amusement if one was looking for it, but his eyes was on the young girl and her new-found form. Perhaps it was pride, the feeling that filled his chest.
