700+, AW Q_Q please, someone reply to it! This is for seasonal task, catching fish and it will eventually involve an eagle.

She had already started cleaning the house, but she was seemingly far from done. Uncle Ho was not at home at the moment, and Noir always liked surprising him with nice things. There was not a lot she could do, but she often tried at least. What the girl now was doing was to go through the closets. She had been born in the cold season, but she could not remember things as well as she wished. This was a whole house, not a den like the one the rest of her family was living in. How cold would this building get when winter came? She did not like thinking about it, because she hated cold and snow. No, Noir wanted to be waaarm always! Hmm, covers and blankets were warm! The girl went from room to room to gather whatever she could find of different covers. Everything was temporarily stored in her room for now, because she realized that the house would probably not be so cold if most of the open windows were closed. Uncle Ho had opened them to air out when he had moved in, but neither of the two wolves living here had thought about shutting them again. Well, now Noir was doing it!

There was a broken window on the first floor, but that was in a spare room that had served as a human toilet, and Noir had no idea what it should be used to, so she simply closed the door and stuffed the key hole and little space under the door with pieces of clothes. There, Noir was super smart! ”Right, Baby Duck?!” the girl called out loudly and was awarded with some quacks from .. somewhere inside the house. The girl smiled as she strode through the living room, but when she was halfway through the room, she stopped. Her eyes fell to the right, where a large fireplace once had enchanted the room and the human inhabitants with its pretty fire and warmth. Noir had never thought about what exactly the fireplace was, but as she walked closer, it was obvious that fire had burned because there was lots of black and even some ash. The thought of having fire inside rubbed the girl the wrong way, but apparently it was possible. A den was small, a house was big. Noir was far from bright, but she understood that the rooms would probably become ice cold. Ho body and Noir body would not be enough to keep the warmth. A fire would.

There was no sticks inside, and Noir had lighted a fire once before and knew that she needed dry wood. Maybe she should gather a super super fantastic amount of wood, so that the fire would burn always and the house would be super warm and good to live in. Wouldn’t Uncle Ho be proud then? The girl liked that thought, and they could roast their meat every day and have lots of ketchup on it. That thought was fantastic. The girl ran out, eager to gather all the wood she could find. In immediate reach there was quite a lot of dry wood, but Noir’s hands were quick and after a few trips in and out of the house to toss the burden into the room with the broken window, she had to start wander further away from the house in order to continue her gathering. Soon she was wandering around close to the river where Dawali had taught her how to set a net for all the fishies to get stuck in. He had even let her borrow it! With merely a few sticks in her hand at time being, the girl took a few steps out into the moving water, trying to see if there was any creatures caught in the net.

The girl tossed the few sticks away and stepped further out to take an even closer look. Movement could be detected under the surface, and the girl squealed in excitement. Could this truly be the first fish ever she had caught? Dawali had set it out for her, but how did she retrieve it? Of course, Dawali had explained how to do that too, but Noir was far from the brightest creature. Her fear for water was nothing like it once had been but she was still slightly nervous. She wanted that fishie though! The water reached her waist now, but the fish was not far away.

ooc: Hey! I suppose Noir is in her Optime?

Catherine was wandering around all by herself for what seemed to be the first time in so long. She was in shock, with both her hands in her slightly concaved belly, beneath her navel. Her eyes were popped up at their limit, that image paused in front of them. The grayish female could see it as clear as she saw her path. The tiny seedling in the seeds that Dawali had gave her. He was right. She was pregnant.

In her hands, she could feel the weight of a brand new life building up inside her. Almost like a pulse. It was a new sensation; delightful and awful at the same time. What if she couldn't handle it. What if she would turn out to be a bad mother? What if she failed? What if...?

The grayish woman felt the sobs take on her, her eyes burning with the sudden burst of tears. Hiding her face from the world with both hands, she landed her back on the closest tree and cried, nearly depressed. What had she done?! That stupid addict to alcohol had caused that reckless night with Leland, and the consequences. She was such an idiot! So idiot she would make an innocent, fragile creature have all that regret on its shoulder. Could she do that? Would she?

No. No way. If there was something she couldn't, nor wouldn't, was to charge her wrongs on others. If there was consequences, she would take it. After a minute to control herself, she continued to walk, still trying to erase the image of a baby wolf inside her belly from her mind.

A few minutes later, a familiar scent got in her conscience. She knew that smell. Noir.

Who seeks, finds, and she soon found the blond juvenile, down into her waist in the water, a bit hesitant for something. Drawing closer to the riverside, she felt worried. What was wrong?

Noir? Are you okay? She called for the girl a bit louder than a normal tone, but lower than a shout, or a yell. She jumped, startled, when she heard a tiny, pitch quack behind her. Lifting up a leg, she noticed a baby duck, racing to the water with awkward paces. This was getting weirder each minute.

300+, yes, optime! =D

The girl’s hands shot out in an attempt to grab the fish that already was properly stuck in the net. It was not dead and therefore it wriggled a lot. It was very smooth and Noir thought it was a bit icky to touch. Golden eyes found other shapes and shadows stuck in the net. It was not fair, because she wanted to get them out of there and up on the shore, but she did not know how. Catherine’s voice sounded from behind, and Noir’s blonde face turned to let her eyes discover the woman too. Her face brightened up considerably. Noir really liked Catherine, and she just adored the horse that was Catherine’s friend. Unfortunately, she thought that the snake spirit guide was a bit scary, but else from that everything was good and the gray adult had always been kind to her.

”Yes I am okay, but I have fish in my net and Dawali told me what to do, but I can’t remember and I want the fish so that I can give food and not only take food.” She did not want to be a bother. With this net, Noir could provide food for herself and others. Too often she had to go to her family and get her food. She did not want things to be like that. She and uncle Ho had gathered lots of berries, and Hemming had given her some of the nuts they had collected. Meat was still her favourite food though. Then she saw Baby Duck running around the adult’s legs, and she grimaced. ”Baby Duck, go home, I did not say you could come!” She had not thought about the fact that Baby Duck could easily follow behind her. Noir really needed to learn how to close the door when going out.

ooc: Sorry if I delay a reply to this plot from here on, but I'm on the hospital, healing from a cirgury, so... Yeah...

Catherine finally understood what was going on when the said fish flashed a beam of light on her with the bright fins. Recovering from that flash, she bit the lower lip. She completely sucked at fishing, don't matte what she tried. She would most likely disrupt than help the little girl. That was a sad situation, even more when known that if she slept, she could harm not only herself, but the little thing inside her too.

Hesitantly, she went to the girl, feeling the water flow to about her midtigh, and she quickly reached to the net, holding around the fish - and whatever else was in there - tightly with both her hands. It had been easier than she thought!

She placed the net besides her while sitting in the riverbend, bows on her knees, her back curved forward. Motioning to the girl, she took some breathes before opening the net. Not that easy. The pain in her back had haunted her since she knew she was pregnant, and it seemed to get worser and worser.

The little duck found a way to cross the net without tripping and went to meet the blonde owner, even though disobeing her.
