Before she knew it the sun was already beginning to rise in the horizon. Aiyanna's tired limbs could barely carry her any further without collapsing beneath her. Knowing full well that it was time for her to take a rest she quickly plopped herself down on the soft grasses. She hadn't been in the land long but got the feeling that it was the place for her. She could smell her fathers scent but had no idea if he had just come through that place or if it was where they had settled. Knowing it had taken so long for her to get to him perhaps he had somehow forgotten about his own daughter in her absence. Such crazy thoughts were quickly driven from her mind as she looked around at what she thought to be her new home. Of course she would pick up again if this wasn't the home of her father, and continue her journey searching for him. Sighing to herself she licked at her paws feeling the pain rush through them. Aiyanna had been traveling for so long, it had felt like an entire lifetime. Of course it was no where near that amount of time but that didn't matter to her. All she wanted to do was get back with her own family and continue with their lives.

Tiling to her head a bit she attempted to look around at her surroundings. Of course the idea of having a metal like fence surround the land wasn't the most appealing but also didn't bother her too much. She just wanted to be with her own father again, back into his warm embrace. Aiyanna felt so alone that it was becoming a more natural feeling to her. This wasn't good since she was normally quite outspoken and full of life. Her personality had almost withdrawn itself deep within the depths of her who identity. Where are you father? She spoke out in a calm voice assuming that someone would eventually hear her speaking or wandering around the land.

I grabbed this, then, since no one else did! Sorry you had to wait.
'ayule' = 'child'. His kids often call him 'agidoda' or ' 'doda', which means 'my dad' Smile

His thoughts were mixed and his face was thoughtful as he cut across a small clearing in the vegetation. Lately, his life was getting more and more weird. The strange female from Inferni had made an impression on the red wolf, and he could not help but think about her. Those thoughts, however, were not romantic or anything like, but impressed. The thoughts were nothing like the thoughts of Ember, which would not leave him alone. He thought about their.. conversation (or had it been more of a confrontation?), and he was confused. Now, he questioned himself and his actions, but found nothing that could justify the situation he was in. Why, he certainly respected and admired the young female, and she was a strong and intelligent one - but he wondered if he had somehow encouraged the feelings that had manifested themselves in her heart. He didn't want another mate - the thought hadn't even crossed his mind! And Ember - so young, too. Asha's age, even! No, it was wrong in so many ways. Besides, he was used to solitude now, and with Asha gone he had accepted this lifestyle. And now the dark femme claimed she cared for him? He feared that he had misjudged her, or perhaps - and even worse - himself. Her promotion, could he have done it subconsciously for another reason? And what would the tribesmembers think of him? Troubling thoughts of undesired affection - or was it?

His mind spun and his senses did not pay much attention to where he was headed, until a scent flew by his nostrils and caused him to stop dead in his tracks. Aiyanna? No, his mind was playing tricks on him. Why would she be here? And after Asha had gone to see them, too. His pace quickened just like his heartbeats did, even though his sense had already told him that he was wrong. He could not help but feel enthusiastic. After all, Aiyanna was his youngest daughter, and sadly he did not know her as well as he would like. Times had been hard when she grew up, and then they had parted. He was an old, lonely man, and he longed for his family. It had been scattered for way too long.

The scent increased as he chased it, and soon there was no doubt in his mind; his daughter was here. No scent of this strength could be just a similar smell. It smelled of his tribe, his family and his daughter - there was no mistaking it. His two legs carried him swiftly now, almost desperately, as he crashed across grass-covered land. Soon that ground would be covered in snow, but maybe then he would share his fire with someone he deeply cared about. His yellow gaze spotted a rust and red figure in the grass and stopped at a distance. Truly, his daughters were the most beautiful in the world, and he never did realize just how much he missed them when they were gone. Not being able to stop himself, he called out and jogged closer to her as he did so. Now, he moved at a more comfortable speed as there was no need to sprint anymore. He had found what he had been looking for.

Aiyanna - ayule!

It had been some time since she was able to be with her own family. The time had seemed to drag on, never really coming to any sort of conclusion. It wasn't until recently that Aiyanna had decided to search for him as she had set up a makeshift area for living, that was meant to be temporary but ended up being much more than that. Sitting on the soft grasses she massaged her paws, feeling the aches and pains running through her legs. Flicking her tail playfully in the grass, she enjoyed the relaxation, even if it was only going to last for a short time. Aiyanna would need to find herself a den, while getting situated in the pack. There were so many things that she wanted to ask her father, the main one being why he never returned for her. Spending so much of her life taking care of others, it was time to focus on her own well being for a change.

It wasn't long before the wind brought her a strong scent of a familiar being. Instantly her ears perked up, swiveling her head about trying to get a good view of the area around her. Wanting to jump up and run about, she was too tired from her journey. Doda is that really you? She said as her father came into clear view. Pushing herself, she got back to her feet giving a slow stretch before walking towards him. It had been so long since they were able to be in such close proximity to one another. The young female couldn't help but feel a sense of confusion. It has been so long. She said trying to wrap her thoughts around the whole situation. It was hard to figure out whether there should be anger towards him or relief that everything was actually alright.

This little girl, his own little girl, she was not little anymore. Aiyanna had only been weaned when her mother died, and when the tribe was attacked he had not had time to care for her on a daily basis. Too many had needed his skills as a medic, and as a Gola Watsi, a carer for the dying and dead. It was a time he would rather forget —all that death and all the torn up families had happened for no reason. And when the Kalona picked him for the scouting party —how could he argue? It was an honor to be chosen. Leaving Aiyanna with her relatives, he'd gone ahead with the selected few to find the future settling place for the tribe. A long time passed but the tribe never came, not until Asha left to search, and arrived with news. Now, he realized he did not know the female in front of him. He knew her scent, and he recognized her markings and features, but he knew nothing of the female inside. How long had it been.. almost two years, now? One and a half? He did not remember, but the flood of joy he had felt when Asha returned was the same as he felt now, but it carried with it a hint of insecurity. His hands shook as he stood rigidly by the side of his youngest daughter, well aware of her likeness to her mother. Was she as stubborn as Asha, as Mischka had been? Probably intelligent, but not from his side of the family. His voice was awkward as he spoke, uncertain and strange. You could count on Dawali to get emotional when it came to his daughters. It's been way too long. He paused, taking in how tired she looked. How different she looked! He had missed it all, every single eventful happening in her life. She had probably met her spirit guide and everything by now —Asha had told her of her sister's doings. Neither of them had chosen this, and his family was scattered. It was not her fault, nor his, that he had not been able to stay with her, but he regretted it anyhow. Can you forgive me? His face was a mixture of an apology and worry —worry that she might not accept him as he was. He'd only ever wanted the best for his children, but it would seem that he might have failed in this case.
