Salmacis
The forest grows, perennially green, due in large part to the towering evergreens which grow alongside pine giants. The forest floor, covered in moss and pine needles, is uneven with the wild tangle of roots shaping the ground, making it treacherous to walk through the forest at night. Brambles and thickets grow in tangled disarray, with holly bushes intermingling around the outermost edge of the Salmacis forest, creating a sort of natural fence to keep intruders away. The "natural fence" is thick with thorns, burrs, and sharp leaves, a deterrent to anyone except the especially determined. The ground is often damp, due to the forest's proximity to the ocean, and a dense layer of fog often hangs low through the branches of the silent giants, the trees.

Forest of Nod
Most of Inferni's territory is open space, which provides a tactical advantage--but while enemies cannot easily hide, there is also little cover for the skittish prey animals. Filled with an even mixture of deciduous and coniferous trees alike, a wealth of healing herbs (if only anyone knew what to look for), and several small creeks, the forest easily manages to attract some of the largest game available to Inferni. Herds of deer make their way through regularly as do sounders of wild boar. Of course, there are also plenty of smaller animals that live here, such as squirrels and grouse. The subterritory is named for the biblical place. The Land of Nod was located east of Eden, where Cain was banished following the murder of his brother Abel.
