Oh my, so much to reply to! @_@ XD Wc: 600+

The silver-tipped Italian looked to the fae who stood near her nephew, and shook her head while her turquoises sparkled. "That's okay. If you don't ask, won't know." She had originally come in a foul mood, bringing with her storm clouds and lightning, but the mood and atmosphere was rapidly calming Ghita. With a small thump of her tail to acknowledge Mati, she dipped her head, trying her best not to move too much for fear of disturbing the pups. "I'm Ghita. You're the Nanny, right? It's good meet you."

Their conversation trickled to an end, like the last few moonlit drops sliding off of an emerald leaf, when Anu rescued them with an authority that called the pack together. She returned the smile she was tossed, shifting so she could capture Anu in her sights more clearly. With a rare serenity, she listened to the words that settled over the pack, threatening to send her into remembrances. Had it really only been one year since her sister had formed the pack? It seemed like much longer to the fae. After all of the events that had been packed into those 300-odd days, it almost seemed like a reward to be able to just sit and recognize the important date flashing before them. As the toast was raised, she smiled softly, not lending her voice to the exuberance. The ones who mattered knew where she stood.

She had noticed the ebony wolves together, but missed her opportunity to fully appreciate the fact & their actions. The last time she saw them together was just when Ghita's pregnancy was revealed, and then their relationship was on thin ice. Turquoise optics had noted the embrace, had taken in just enough information to reassure her before she settled back into her interaction with Mati and Gotham. Now, she let the feelings of relief and respect flood her being, awed that the two would unite so passionately for no other reason but herself. Sure, there was the past relationship they both shared, but the bond they had, to Ghita, had now been intensified, and that couldn't have made her any happier.

Her dark-furred quickly approached the trio Ghita was a part of, and she smiled, letting her tail thump the ground in anticipation. She blinked, letting the lids shield her optics from the sights in front of her for a moment or two longer. This wasn't a common occurrence, but not one to be mistaken for pain or reluctance. It was simply an action that gathered her thoughts and feelings together, so she could face the situation with more energy, and perhaps optimism. She backed off, letting her nephew explain in his words what they had been talking about. When she was mentioned, she looked up, nodding gently. "I'm fine. Coming closer and closer to the time, however." Only her sister would be able to detect the undercurrent of fear the soon-to-be-mother crept into her words. She had had a miscarriage before, and the last thing she wanted was to repeat that experience.

Blinking kindly, she listened to all that her ink-hued kin told back to her, pulling the expressions and emotions necessary to encourage storytelling. "Spiders, eh? I never liked them myself. Too many legs." Nodding for him to go on, she felt a flutter of genuine excitement as she heard Gotham's plan. Grinning with anticipation, she tilted her head to Mati, wondering what the darker-hued femme would say. "If Mati doesn't want to go, I'd be happy to accompany you! Maybe after a while though." Just like the adventures she had with her light-colored niece, Amata, Ghita loved to go above and beyond her calling as an aunt. Seeing her nephew whisper something to her sister, she tried to grab at the emeralds her sister had, shrugging a little. "It'll be clearer eventually..."

Flayra looked around to find that there were some of the members here. She saw this as a good time to meet some of them which she hasn't met yet. However, she felt like she didn't want to talk to the newcomers, at least not yet. She just felt a little bit like she wanted some alone time, however, she didn't want to be disrespectful to not only the new comers, but also to the leaders. She saw the wolfess that she had met some time ago now, though she couldn't remember when. It was Ghita, the Italian wolf that was Savina's sister she remembered. Then she saw Savina's young daughter, Gotham. Then, there was Ares with a female, whom she could tell was his sister.

Flayra thought to go and see what Ares was writing after the announcement was done. Walking past some of the members, she sat down next to Ares. "Hey Ares. Good to see ya." She looked over the female that was on the other side of the male and smiled. "You must be Princess? I'm Flayra. Flayra Zazkex."

latelatelate!! sorry folks

She smiled. Toasting away the year that had past and bringing forth the years to come. She had know packs that disbanded after the turn of a season, let alone a year. When times of hunger or hardship hit, the pack would loose its roughly sewn threads and scatter in hopes of making it some where else. She could hardly believe at times that so many could, and happily so, live together.

Blue eyes looked to Jaz, his comment sly and joking. "How I look may not be how I feel." Anu spoke with a small bit of pessimism in her words. Her tone was laced heavily with humor, though she indeed felt the age she had become. "Yeah," she agreed. Her smiled grew, "You haven't changed a bit"

If there was one thing that could make her happy even in these trying times it was her children. Gotham's exuberance at her approach and arrival made her heart skip a beat and a small laugh bubbled up in her throat as she greeted her son. He looked back at Ghita and then whispered to her and she bent her ear down to make sure she caught all his words clearly. Savina's smile grew though as her son's hurried questions came to her and she placed a comforting hand on his back to help qualm his fears. "No, no dear, it's not a bad thing. In fact it's a very good thing!" she whispered to him as he had her. "It did happen to me, that's how I looked before you and your sisters were born. Auntie Ghita is going to have puppies soon! Won't that be nice? You'll have some new cousins and playmates!" If all goes as it should. Worried as she was, she didn't let it creep into her expression or her voice. Gotham didn't need to know the risks that could come with pregnancy, right now all he needed to know that this was a good thing and not a bad one. She knew that her boy would be excited of the prospect of more pups to play with.

As her sister responded to her question Savina simply smiled and nodded her head. She detected that concerned undercurrent but didn't let on to anyone else the fears that the siblings shared about how the pregnancy could go. "It will all be fine," she said, trying to reassure herself as much as Ghita. They did need to try and think positive. So far everything had gone well and Ghita wasn't showing any signs of complications. It did concern the Commander somewhat that Crimson Dreams no longer had a wolf skilled in the healing arts around, but Savina had gone through childbirth and now was much more knowledgeable than she had been. She would be there for her sister and do everything in her power to make sure that it would be a day to be celebrated and not mourned.

Too many legs!? Spiders!? If Auntie Ghita didn't like spiders because they had too many legs, what did she think of centipedes? Gotham probably wouldn't admit it, but he didn't really like centipedes, for the reason that his aunt had mentioned. They were really creepy and really fast! But spiders were nice, and they had the perfect number of legs. Also, they had lots and lots of eyes, and Gotham thought that was really cool because probably they could look at lots of different things at once! That was a skill that he would like to have.

When Ghita offered to go to the lake with him, any disdain he was feeling for her disappeared. "Okay! Or we can all go and we can all walk on the water like the spiders!" He was beyond excited at this point, wagging his tail with a fervour that was capable of throwing his back half back and forth.

It didn't seem like the apparent inflation of his aunt could be a good thing, but he would take his mother's word for it. He wondered what caused it, and why would the mums look like that before they had puppies? Slowly, it dawned on him that perhaps, just maybe, they carried the puppies around in there! This realization didn't answer all his questions, though, and he stared with narrow eyes at Ghita's belly for a moment as if he had X-ray vision and was capable of seeing what was inside.

He was distracted soon enough by the realization that there would be more puppies! Perhaps he would like puppies. He was a puppy, after all, and his sisters were puppies, and he liked them. So, probably he would like these puppies, too! With a grin, he exclaimed, "Yeah!"

Though he had learned a lot today, there were more questions than answers. Someday, perhaps, it would all make sense. At this point, he sort of doubted it.
