After Hanna finished bathing and taking turns splashing and being splashed by her newfound Spirit Guide, Cian, Hanna set off on a lazy circuit of the lake. Only her head was visible above the water; the rest of her body was nearly imperceptible in the darkened echo of the forest around Rabbit Lake. She looped around counter-clockwise, speeding her swimming as she went, but she only made it halfway around before she was forced to quit. She didn't like the concept of climbing from the waters onto obviously claimed land, but her tired legs and arms could go no further.

Flexing her cramped muscles, Hanna began to tentatively shift down into her Secui form. She knew nothing of Crimson Dreams and didn't want to fall prey to any creature or wolf while circumventing the lake. She took up a gentle lope, heading back to the place she had started, to the eastern inner corner of the pack's land. Cian trotted along peacefully beside her, his dark ears swiveling and taking in every sound. Hanna hoped she wouldn't meet any angry pack members, but things rarely worked out completely to her liking.

OOC: here's the song he's playing on his recorder link

Today Maldrid felt like sitting near the lake and playing some of his music and hear it echo across the waters of Rabbit Lake. He felt the need to enjoy the scenery as he played a melody with one of the two instruments that he carried and held dear to him. His instruments were like an outlet of Maldrid's soul. It showed his inner most thoughts, desires, and fears. They could even tell a story of times long gone. The nostalgic feeling that could come from Maldrid's instruments would be enough to make one become lost in thought, longing for times past.

Maldrid was now outside of the mansion and walking towards the lake. He took in the beautiful scenery that the Crimson Dreams packlands had to offer. This place would be enough to provide many years of inspiration for his songs. Maldrid walked until he found a small cliff beside a beach along the lake. Maldrid sat down and started to play a song on his recorder, as he hadn't played on that instrument much recently. He let the inner workings of his mind come out through his fingers to produce a beautiful medley.

Yuck. I don't like the way this post turned out.

Hanna winced inwardly; as she had expected, someone was sitting just where she was going to walk, and he smelled of Crimson Dreams. The medic was sure it wouldn't look good with her coming from inside the pack lands, but she made her way towards the blonde man anyway. He had a musical instrument in his lips, and this caught Hanna's eye, being a music lover herself. She'd never played any instrument, but she could carry a pleasant tune, and as she sat next to the musical wolf next to her, she couldn't help but pick up on the melody and hum along. Sometimes she carried the main tune, and at other times she just harmonized.

Cian, who had made himself invisible to the foreign man, lodged himself up in a tree and was bobbing his head along to the song. Hanna smiled at the sight; even though they'd only just met, her Spirit Guide did not seem one to take part in such frivolous activities. She then stared out over the lake, tapping her toes to the music and relaxing, reclining on her arms. She said not a word to the other wolf, words would come in time. For now they would speak the common language of the music.

Maldrid had closed his eyes and was lost in his own little world with the music he now played. The notes resonated throughout the air and filled everything within earshot of it. After Maldrid had finished with his first song he continued into a second song. This one was slower and flowed smoothly. It was a calming song that had no real story or significance of any sort. To one who heard it they would first be seeing the musician, but after a bit of listening they'd not see the real world any longer.

To any listener they'd start to see flashes of color moving about in tune to the music that emanated through the atmosphere. The resonating sound would calm one's mind and make their imagination wander. The patterns wound through their sight and filled their body with invigorating energy at the relaxing tone that it set. A listener would not want it to end, but unfortunately it had to. Maldrid finished his song and opened his eyes expecting to still be alone. To his surprise he noticed a female sitting next to him. "Oh, I didn't think I'd be having company," Maldrid said in a friendly way.

Hanna's eyes closed as the music progressed, flowing into a second tune with a much more leisurely tempo. She found that her imagination swept right along with the music, the light and shadows of the day and of the clouds floating across and obscuring the sun's face creating patterns of light and dark in her eyelids. Her body relaxed to the point where she almost lay back to allow herself to sleep, but before she could drop off into peaceful slumber the song ended.

Hanna's ears flattened for two different reasons. For one thing, she was upset that the music had ended. The musician was good at his craft and as a vocalist Hanna loved to hear well wrought notes. The other cause for her distress was that now the femme would find herself chewed out for being within pack boundaries. She had no way to know she was not sitting next to the leader of the pack, beyond that he did not seem to have the same scent as the borders themselves. To her amazement, however, the blonde male spoke calmly, with words that seemed to hold only surprise at her being there, not anger.

Hanna flashed a brief smile at him. "Honestly, I didn't expect to be providing that company. I was on my way out, but your instrument was so lovely that I couldn't help but stop and listen. Does that piece have a name?"
