Not my cup of tea

Getting up in the morning (morning meaning around ten to eleven o'clock) was something Husk looked forward to everyday. The reason being was that it meant breakfast, which in turn meant eating. Eating was something that Husk absolutely loved, and that was one reason why Husk knew how to cook. Husk ate so much that he had to cook all the food himself, but being as generous as he was he also cooked for others. He loved the praise that ensued and his inflated his ego and self-confidence immensely.

After he met with Savina and Anu, he spent the night in Haven Manor. When the big boy practically rolled out of his bed onto the floor, he stood up, took his mask from the nightstand beside his bed, put it on, and headed downstairs. He took no care in trying to be quiet, which never mattered since most were awake by this time. Husk never had the time properly explore the manor and just focused on finding the kitchen, his stomach growling. He gave it a dissaproving face, and continued on to the kitchen.

When he finally found his way, he looked in the various cabnets and cupboards for the various ingredients for some breakfast. Husk clattered with some pots and pans until he decided to find some canned food. He looked at some of the containers, frowning at the faded labels. He couldn't read anyway, and put the can back on the shelf.

OOC: Hello again, old friend

Flayra was in her bed in one of the rooms, still asleep. Though it was morning, she was sleeping in by the looks of it. Her hand was hanging out the side of the bed as she remained in her sleepy slumber. The sun shone through he window, moving along the ground towards the bed. She just slept there peacefully, uninterrupted until the sun moved to her, where it woke her up. Dazed, she lifted her head, her eyes squinted to block out the light. Her eyes opened up normally as he eyes got used to the light again.

She sat up on the bed as she wiped the sleep fro her eyes. She got up from the bed as she began to make her way to the door. Opening it, she walked down the hall to stairs, where she descending to the lower level. She thought to go to the kitchen so she may have a bite before she begins her day. Making her way to the kitchen, she saw that there was another wolf, who seemed to be rummaging through the cupboards for some food. This wolf must be new. She hasn't seem him around. "Good morning. Are you new?

ooc- Hi! Big Grin

Rummaging through the kitchen, Husk was searching left and right for something remotely worth eating. His frustration began to manifest as he progressively shoved pots and pans aside roughly. He stopped, pouting at the ubreadable cans of food. He stood up and turned around, completely unaware if the other wolf in the room. He didn't hear her speak and so paid no mind, continuing his search for his breakfast. His impatience was growing thin.

After grabbing a medium sized pot, he backed out of the cupboard. He swung around, now seeing the white female in the hallway. He paused, the pot still in his hands. His mouth was hung open and his entire body stayed still.

Flayra was surprised when she didn't receive an answer. That was a bit rude to her, since she was only saying good morning and askin if this wolf was new to the lands. Was the male too busy to even hear the female speak. Well, he was going through the cupboards and the pans for something. Maybe he wanted to cook something for breakfast. It was even strange that the male was wearing an odd mask. What was with the mask?

The girl continue to watch as the male moved around to another cupboard, soon to notice her. He paused his movements and stayed still. The girl kept her observing eyes on the masked male, seeing that this one was a weird one. "Good morning." She said, slightly a little louder so that he maybe hear her. Maybe the wolf had hearing problems.

Husk stood still for a while, not moving to awknowlege the female's words for he couldn't understand them. She spoke, but she spoke so fast that he could not comprehend her sentences and her lips were not exaggerated enough. Husk tilted his head, mask flashing from the light. The worn belt that held it to his face ruffled his fur a little, and his bandanna with the matching shorts were worn over his thick, colorless fur.

Husk shook his head side to side, signifying that he did not understand her words. He dare did not speak, for she would probably not understand his words either. He remained still, the pot gripped in his hand.

Flayra was starting to feel offend when the masked male still didn't answered. She was getting tempted to slap him, but she thought that there must have been a reason. Well, there must have been since the male tilted and sook his head. Maybe saying that he didn't understand her. The reasons she could think of is that he only speaks another language, or that he's deaf. The girl immediately thought that he was deaf because he would have spoke in a different language, trying to say that he didn't understand.

The girl tried to think of a way to speak that both the male, and herself, would understand. Many deaf humans were able to be familiar with lip reading and sign language. However, she didn't know a thing about sign language, so it would have to be lip reading. The girl then tried to speak again, but more slowly and exaggerated so the male could understand, if he did understand lip reading. "Good, she started off with, nice and slowly, "morning"
