private for Leroy

The season was advancing rapidly now, chilled brisk winds following on the heels of cloudy cold rains. Alacrity struggled to find a warm dry place to curl up at night and always woke stiff with cold in the mornings. She was unaccustomed to searching for underground dens, after all, and building a fire was next to impossible without opposable
thumbs. Thusly, it had become her habit to wake with the dawn and stretch the numbness from her limbs, and then running for miles in the fresh sunlight. African Wild Dogs were built for loping the terrain of endless savannas, and Alacrity was no exception. The exercise was routine for her, and had the added bonus of thoroughly warming her body.

The plan was seamless, except for two fatal flaws. First, that she ran with a certain reckless abandon, the thrill of speed pushing caution from her mind. Secondly, the territories claimed by clans where she grew were malleable things, changing with the movement of the life-giving herds. Crossing onto territory held by another was commonplace -- you followed your herds into your neighbors' land to survive, as surely as your neighbors did to you. Crossings done for survival were generally forgiven, unless of course, you overstayed your welcome or hunted the other clan's herds.

In any case, the combination of these two factors led Alacrity racing southward, her body a graceful multicolored blur in the increasing sunlight. When her stride carried her across the borders of Cour des Miracles, she hardly noticed and probably wouldn't have cared if she had - two flaws on the armor of her precautions.

I was woundering if the fight could be short and sudden? Like taken by surpise then its over?

Leroy moved at a steady pace in the packlands on his patrol, now more then ever since he had accepted the mother who was sso close to stealing their food. Leroy isn't the most sharing person when it came to just anyone and he didn't plan to share their meals outside the pack either. Strong halfing body moved with a steady even pace as his patterned coat disordered his form yet made him shine from the earth around him, paws carrying his heavy weight effortlessly as he left only prints behind. Red eyes look for anything and everything as his breathed in the scents around him.

The new intruder that came up so quickly on his senses he was surpised, body moved quickly with the muscles pushing harder as if he was after pray. Tail high his nose breathed in the long of scent that blew in his face leading him to also moving oerson in the distance, a low growl held back in his throat as his hairs rose all over his body. Legs pumping as his broke from the forest line jumping to flank the strange colored dog, jaws open he planned to find out whats they are doing her as a loud snarl erupted from his throat red eyes locked on.

yeah, that would probably work best. minor powerplay, let me know if something's not okay! <3

A harsh snarl broke Alacrity from the silent revelry of her run. She barely had time to process the sound before an explosion in the undergrowth yielded an furious mass of teeth and angry crimson eyes. In all of the fights she'd been in previously, the opponent had attacked blatantly from in front of her, but her instincts were still intact for this unexpected turn. She dropped away from the impact of his attack, rolling away from him as she felt his teeth graze the flesh of her shoulder. She barely spared a thought about why she was attacked -- her attention was all on how to survive an attack from someone who clearly outweighed her and was half-shifted to boot.

She was back on her feet in the blink of an eye, her ears pinned back and her hair standing on end. Her lips curled to expose sharp incisors that shone threateningly in the early morning sun, although she didn't make a sound. She preferred to have her ears open in case the fellow had reinforcements somewhere in the trees, and it had the added bonus of sometimes unnerving her opponent. Head down to protect her throat, Alacrity concentrated on gathering her footing while keeping a wary eye on her unexpected attacker. For now, she'd place a defensive game.

sorry for crappyness

The quick taste of flesh and blood was short lived when his black and white body hit the ground when moveing like water, paws twisted as his thick pelt danced like a wild fire from his smooth yet dangerous movments. Ears pinned as his head followed the movements of the rolling dodge of the newcomer.

Blood eyes were wide and locked as Leroy's fangs were ever showen, tail high his heavy body darted forward before quickly jumping to the side as his jaws let a loud roar. "INTRUDER!" The words were and snarl mixed. Leroy didn't care at the moment as he kicked forward into a jump, head low with jaws open his shoulder was ready to slammed into the other. If his jaws planeted themselves he would rip at the flesh though he does risk himself for attack, he can dodge his neck to the side if need be but he doesn't intend to kill even though he wishes to make his point.

short post is short. one more post each, and then done?

The snarl came unexpectedly, and in her focused state Alacrity barely processed the word. All she saw was the movement of his muscles, and any signs of tensing that might give away his next move. He surged forward, jaws bared for attack. In the half-second she had before he hit, Alacrity weighed her options. If she kept dodging his attacks, she would likely sustain few injuries but would also likely not get an opportunity to launch an attack of her own. And, given his superior size she thought this was a bad idea -- one false dodge would be all the mistake he would need. No, it was better to end this quickly.

So she shifted her weight slightly, mentally bracing herself for the hit that was to come. He slammed into her with considerable force, and her claws dug into the frosty earth from the impact of it. There was pain now, lots of it, and it was now the pain that focused her mind and sharpened her will. It was time to end this, now that her blood had been spilled. Not giving him time to recover, she whipped around, snakelike and fierce. She lashed out at his face, teeth bared. Her jaws did considerable damage, but just to be sure she followed up the attack with an opposing swipe across his eye. If she'd done her job right, there should be a lot of blood now dripping in his eye, obscuring vision, giving her a chance to back off, and make her escape.

thankyou for the scars!!!

His world was moving so fast, his large form diving at the female's smaller form and in that moment he thought of his family and because of that he didn't delay or pause his attack. The impact was sweet and the popping of skin under his jaws made a deep warmth rise in him, the quick burst of blood rolled into his mouth as his jaws crushed together with a hard shack. Leroy's body was locked as his legs held his postion well for the battel, growls ripped at his throat as his eyes shifted quickly at the swift movement of the female. Damnit! The teeth came down quickly on his face as he held his jaws together on her flesh, the darting attack was topped of with a slam of her paw as his eye set a sharp wave of burning pain to his brain as the bright blood overwhelmed that side of his face. Throwing his head back in a sharp howl of pain Leroy shook his head side to side powerfully before whipping back with a unaimed snap of his jaws as his pawwed at his face. Damn it, heknew he could be attacked in the fight but lossing vision in a eye was somthing he needed.
