The both, without knowing what had happened to the other, had endured some tough childhoods. Of course Conor's had been much worse than Cambria's, but they had both had to face things that no one their age should have. Conor did not have the strong family support that should have been a given and had faced starvation when he was very little. Cambria had been exposed to a horribly addictive drug in her own home and had been thrown into a deep depression for weeks afterwords. She had a feeling that it was the darker parts of their past that allowed the two to connect so well with one another. They were able to understand each other better because they had both gone through bad things that other their age hadn't. Cambi was so thankful to have Conor as her cousin, she wouldn't trade him for anyone.

Conor turned in the direction she had come from and she started to walk after him. "Okay!" she called cheerily. Crimson Dreams was still a good ways away so they will still be able to spend some time together. Maybe he would even want to stay over for the night again! That would be nice. Slowly catching up to him her hand reached out and brushed his wrist. "Thank you Conor, for everything."
