ooc: This should put him around 5 months old, since canonically he should lose his limb soon and then learn to shift. He didn't repress his memories until after the shift, so... this is a different guy than the jerk we all know today. Smile More like a starving French kid!

How far had he wandered? The little stray was not sure, but he could not recognize any of the landmarks. The trees here were tall, towering over him, stiff and straight unlike the sloping mangroves he was accustomed to. The ground was firm beneath his four paws, not soft and squashy like the swamps. This was a different place. Sunlight dappled his tawny fur, streaming in dusty rays through the verdant canopy. His whippy tail wriggled behind him, the white tip flashing in the daylight. This was fun! It was quiet here, away from the bickering and squabbling of the starving strays. There was no one around to threaten him or chase him away.

The dog smiled hesitantly, his dark brown eyes glancing over his shoulder to make sure he wasn't being followed. A part of him hoped that he would stumble on his siblings again, but they had gone their own ways some time ago. He had trouble recalling their faces now. Maybe they forgot him too. "H... hello? Bonjour?" he called softly, his puppy voice still high with its youthful timbre. He wasn't as clumsy as he used to be, so he knew he was growing up, even if his voice still made him sound like a girl. If no one else was here, that might be nice. He could live here in the forest and be safe. Nothing scary was here, just little birds and mice and things like that. He wasn't very good at hunting... but maybe without any competition he could learn to get better!

OOC: ©table code and image to jacoby: This would be the period of time that every three sentences would be effected by his Tourette's, he's also much less twitchy than when he's older.

One minute he was in his den with this mommy, arguing about how he should be able to go out and play with the other pup, and the next moment he was in a totally new place that he had never seen before. He didn't care where the hell he was, he was more concerned about who was here to entertain his little mind. Maybe with a game of tag or something of the sort. The male walked around for a bit, sniffing the ground, trying to find any distinct scents. He smelt a canine scent, but it was not coyote. He cocked his head. Could this be a wolf? Would he finally meet one? His tail wagged in the air gently as he danced around, excitedly jumping and tapping his feet as he looked around for the scent that he picked up. The little German boy was excited to meet whoever this scent belonged to!

Tail wagged in the air as he moved along. That's when his bi-colored orbs found the sight of a giant! Well...a giant PUPPY! Cotl bounded up to the other male, and held a big wide grin on his face. Cotl wagged his tail at the male, and shoved his nose into the other male's. HALLO! the male spoke, his accented puppy voice being immature, and squeaky, his tail wagging in the air a bout a million miles an hour. I mean he might fly if he could get it to be in one continuous rotation instead of it switching directions every three seconds. Ich bin Cotl Ulrich, du?

Haku Soul did not really know where he was at the moment. Of course this was no issue; because he was fine as he was at the moment. Anywhere was better than back home because Melisande and Mew were stupid and girly. He did not like girls, especially not when they were his sisters and wanted to play girly games with him! Haku was not a girl, couldn’t they see that! He wished his mummy could have given him a brother instead, or perhaps a mini mummy sister, because he liked his mummy very extremely much. He wished he had not walked away from her too, but it was impossible to not walk away from her as long as his stupid sisters were there as well. Haku had learned this the hard way! Stupid sisters. Stupid Melisande that made him get down from the tree when he did not really want to.

Someone was calling out something silly and disturbed the Soul puppy’s peace. Warm chocolate ears perked and the little child was instantly intrigued. Perhaps it was a magical friend that wanted to play with him and keep him entertained. The boy’s fluffy tail wagged excitedly as his oversized paws clumsily brought him in the direction he thought he had heard the stranger’s voice come from. Of course Haku went in a slightly wrong direction, but he did find the stranger in the end, and that was what mattered, totally. Oh, but how weird his new friend looked! His ears were sleeping, ahahaha! ”Hi I are Haku is my forest what are sleepyhead stupid doing?” The boy said this without really considering his own words, but yes this was a good idea. He had always wanted a forest and this one was empty so therefore it was Haku’s packland forest now.

ooc: I'm happy with a threesome! They're all so cute like this, haha. Big Grin

His quiet place was interrupted; noisy things were approaching, crashing around in the brush nearby. The youth's ears folded flat with apprehension, and he slowly backed away, trying to blend into his surroundings. If it was a grownup, he would have to get ready to run away. Sometimes they threw things at him. Sometimes they were so hungry, they would even try to hunt him... He could not trust anyone bigger than him. The boy did not even consider bears or other wild predators, he was so fixated on his own kind. He bumped into a tree from behind; oh, he had nowhere else to go. Dark eyes filled with concern, the dog turned to slink around the tree trunk, when -

"HALLO!"

Jacquez flinched, nearly leaping out of his skin at the sudden appearance of a fellow pup. His heart raced a mile a minute in his narrow chest, barely registering that this newcomer was speaking gibberish. Those tall ears - what kind of dog was he? Maybe a shepherd of some sort? "P... parlez-vous francais?" he gasped weakly, shrinking away from the little guy's manic grin. What if that loud voice drew the attention of another, more threatening creature? His spirits sank as another voice rang out, but with great relief he recognized another young voice. He turned helplessly to look at the wolf - for that was what he must be, with pointy ears and bigger paws than any of them - and smiled halfheartedly. "H... hi. M'not stupid," he mumbled shyly, shuffling his paws. He was taller than both of them. Good. Bigger meant safer. They couldn't hurt him.

P... parlez-vous francais? the male spoke, timidly. Cotl cocked his head. He wasn't sure how to react about it. He was confused, and he had no clue what the boy had just said. Bi-colored orbs looked at the taller male. He was definitely bigger. A giant! He also looked like a pirate. All he needed was an eyepatch. Is you a giant pirate? he asked, his head then cocking to the other side and then the sound of another voice chimed, another young one. His bi-colored eyes looked to the other. Cotl was surrounded by GIANTS! OH NOS! Cotl looked at both of them, looking between the two. Hi I are Haku is my forest what are sleepyhead stupid doing? spoke the male. Cotl totally disregarded the whole sentence and he yelled at the top of his lungs. There were no words in the yell, but it was just a yell until he jumped up from his seat and ran two laps around the two pups. GIANTS! THEY'S IS HEREZZ! RUNZ!! the male yelled as he ran compeletely around the two until he finally slipped and slammed himself into a tree. The same one that the tallest male had been infront of as well.

SCHISSSSS!!! the male yelled as he ran into the trunk of the tree, he rebounded back and landed on his butt. He put his paw to his nose. It totally hurt at the moment and he sniffled lightly, kind of sad that he had run into the stupid tree. He looked to the other two and then remembered what he was freaking out about. DON'TS EATS MEH, GIANTS! the male pleaded, figuring that there was nothing else he could do.

Now there were suddenly two weird looking wolves. Haku’s rising fur turned him into a little fluff ball with baby blue eyes filled with defiance, eying both boys up in turn. He did not like the way these small (though one of them was larger than him) puppies were talking. Perhaps they was from another place that was not close to this place. Ears were fully flattened and the boy’s full length tail waved arrogantly with dominance, making the fluffed up boy looking rather ridiculous. When the new boy started to run around, Haku growled dramatically and moved his frame in same speed, determined to have his front facing the crazy thing.

The screaming and the howling from the weird puppy was very unpleasant. Haku knew he was very brave and awesome, but he felt intimidated by the puppy’s behaviour and what if there really were giants coming to get them? Haku did not want to believe the nonsense, but it definitely affected him. Blue eyes quickly searched for incoming giant wolves. Suddenly the forest was very dark and very very scary. The screaming puppy was scary too because he was scaring the Soul child. The drama-puppy made a shhhhhing sound when he ran into a tree, but Haku was too uncomfortable to take delight in seeing the boy hurt himself.

Baby blue gaze moved to the puppy with the sleeping ears and the chocolate coated boy crawled towards him, feeling quite scared and this puppy was the largest one and could maybe protect him. He wanted his mommy and not all this screaming and giants and everything. He whimpered pathetically and made it a mission to crawl under sleepy stupid’s belly to take cover.

Jacquez's bewilderment reached a new level as the little male began loudly questioning him. He was not speaking gibberish anymore - for the most part - but his words were so quick, and accented, it was hard to understand what he was asking. "S-sorry - what ees 'pi rat'? Maman deed not teach me a lot of words..." He swallowed the lump in his throat, adopting a braver expression. Just because he could not remember his Maman's face did not mean he no longer had a family. Dogs were tough like that, they had to leave home when they were very young, because it made them stronger. When they were big and brave enough, they could go home again and have their family back. That's what he told himself, at least, because the alternative was just too cruel to consider.

He flinched visibly as the odd little thing let out a squall, screaming uncontrollably and darting in erratic circles about them. Jacquez curled his tail between his legs, dark brown eyes worried as shrank against himself. What was wrong with that boy? Didn't he know that the noisy strays got killed first? He inhaled sharply as something touched his side, and then struggled to smooth the prickling fur along his spine as he realized the other puppy had drawn up against him. He flashed an apologetic half-smile, adjusting automatically to let the fluffy boy crawl underneath him. That much was instinct; he hadn't felt a sibling's warmth in too many moons, and it was a great relief to the nervous mongrel to have actual contact again.

His muzzle snapped up again at the sound of a 'thud'. It turned out to be the unpredictable youth again, though, having collided rather painfully with a tree. Jacquez tilted his head, curiosity replacing caution. "Why deed you do zat?" he asked, trying and failing to suppress his accent. All three of them spoke funny, but he wanted them to understand each other. Maybe they could work together and find food.

OOC: short, sorry.

S-sorry - what ees 'pi rat'? Maman deed not teach me a lot of words.. the male spoke to him. There wasn't too much time to respond before he freaked out though, so the qeustion went unanswered. The fluffy boy had run along side Cotl, which had made him freak out slightly more because it was him that Cotl was scared of. Cotl ran into the tree, and since he had hit the tree, he had rebounded, and landed on his rump. He sat there for a good five seconds before he started to cry. He sniffled and silently sobbed, tears running down his face as he rubbed his nose. Why deed you do zat? the largest giant spoke. The words sent his audits bending back. Yous mights eats meh-FAT MEANIE HEAD!- the male spoke, the last part not really supposed to be in there, but his condition was finally letting itself be known. He also cleared his throat, and the tears still ran down his handsome little face. Ich nicht wants dich to hurtz meh. he spoke, halfway in English and half way in German, he was too stressed out at the moment to speak completely in English, much less did he know that there was much of a difference between the two languages. He figured everyone talked like he did.

The little German kid sat there still in the same spot infront of the tree, with tears still rolling down his cheeks. He did not make much sound as he was crying though, just because he was dramatic sometimes, but not so much when it came to crying.

Very short!

Tail shivered so pathetically against little Haku’s belly. As the scary, brutal weird puppy’s voice kept booming and screaming, Haku could feel his entire frame shake with fear. Giants and people that wanted to eat other people, such thoughts scared the young soul that was hidden under Sleepy-Stupid’s warm and somewhat comforting belly. Body contact soothed the upset child, but this was all so strange and unsettling that he could do nothing but to hide under the other boy, praying for his mommy or daddy to come to the rescue. Why was the strange puppy behaving this way. Haku hadn’t done anything wrong. A whimper shook the chocolate coated child’s body and he curled into a little ball of fur, trying to shut everything out – especially the loud and mean puppy that yelled about meanie heads and giants.
