Dangerous times had passed her since leaving Inferni and Bleeding Souls. Stygian was still missing, which broke her heart, but she had in a way come to accept that things would not pan out exactly as she wanted them to. She, forever would be his, but there would be no way to know what would come for her in the future. Would she ever be reunited with her prince? Or would she, like so many others, find herself left alone in the solitude of displeasure?

She looked different now. Her coat, which had once been so alike to her mother's in tones of grey and cinnamon, had shifted to a more golden and cinnamon color. She was sculpted, and her long sleek black hair was pulled back into a ponytail atop her head. She looked similar to an Amazonian priestess, built for violence with a perchance for beauty. She smiled gently as she eyed the sandy home she loved so much, and wondered what had become of everything she knew. Gabriel. Ah, how her heart ached for her brother. She had walked out on him, and it hurt her to do so. Samael.....she missed him to.

Golden eyes glinted dangerously as the cry of a gull shattered her peace, and she felt it, she breathed it in. She was home

xxxxxHe missed Ahemait, whether he realized it or not. Her departure had left behind no one in Inferni that left him with a reason to stay, save lingering loyalty to a mother he may never see again. And it wasn't even ties to the pack itself that held him, but the chance Kaena might return, and he wasn't completely ready to abandon the area he knew she may one day come back to for a boundless world where their paths may never again cross. Inferni held a place in her heart, and he knew this. Yet she'd abandon the crown and her children to flee with reasons and destination unknown. While love was a questionable emotion for the boy, there was an unmistakable attachment to his sister just as had been for his brother, Razekiel, and even Molochai, who'd helped raise him at Kaena's side.
xxxxxSo when a familiar scent drifted to his senses on the salt-laden air Samael paused in his tracks, crimson eyes turning back toward where the wind was coming from, questioning the reliability of his mind and the trick it may play. But the curiosity was stronger than his doubts and he turned right around, following the source until eyes laid on the familiar figure of his litter mate. Again, motions halted as eyes drifted across the image, jaws parting to say simply, "You're back." Smile crossed his lips, pleased at this break from what had been turning into a rather uneventful day.
