A detached building wavered on the thick outskirts of Concrete Jungle. It had perhaps been a library, but was indistinguishable now; many of the bricks were scraped and shattered; the walls had peeled layers of painted flesh and the furniture was rotten. Outside, early evening shot rays of crimson sunlight across a rather sweeping landscape; magnificent and boastfully natural, and indeed what could be more natural than eating away at the remnants of all that can be deemed unnatural? The library was set into the ground, and its foundations were utterly submerged... perhaps, then, nature had made its peace with this intrusion.

Tamerlane, a tall and unkempt young traveller whose Luperci form was less than significant in an increasingly bustling world, gazed up at the higher stories of the sun-shot building before making his way through the space where the door used to be. He ran one hand briefly over the back of his neck, and then along the edge of a table; his long fingers picked up inches of dust. Curious grey-black eyes hovered over the stacks of books. Ancient history, just like the building itself.
