He had heard the stories, interpreted the rumours, but that did not mean he fully understood the situation. Andrezej was no longer in Inferni, and apparently, it had been with good reason. From what he had heard, Andrezej had not only threatened one of the puppies, but also attacked his brother. Hybrid had felt a growing sense of anger the moment he had heard that, bristling at the mention of betrayal within the ranks of his own clan. Though it was not his clan, nor did he care to claim it as his own, he still felt his lip curl in a snarl whenever he heard of someone turning their backs on Inferni.

He was weak. Hybrid had wondered if the child would ever be ready to serve Inferni as one of their dedicated soldiers, but it seemed like it would never happen. He was too foolish to keep his teeth and claws in check, his words merely thoughts, and had done the unthinkable. Although Hybrid wished Inferni could be a militaristic faction of coyotes, ready to go to battle in a moments notice, he knew it was not possible. It was only wishful thinking, and thinking that Andrezej would be able to survive among them. It was too much. He had expected too much of a child.

Hybrid trotted farther along the coast, making his way farther and father South past the Swamp Sosye. He had since passed the murky delta and was now venturing farther into the brush and small, lightly forested area to the south. Though he had not seen Andrezej in days, he did not think the child would be foolish enough to remain close to Inferni. He would find him, soon, and he would pay for betraying the clan.

He had figured out, finally, how to shift back from his bipedal form and, having felt he had mastered it, he was now trying to obtain the third rumoured form. He didn't know if it existed or not, and had only heard of it in passing (gossip and the like) while he slunk low around the bushes, but he wanted it nonetheless. Powerful and huge, it was said to be, quick and built purely for power and speed. Such a form would be most helpful in his desires to bring Gabriel down and to head the clan into being what it needed to be; a group of coyotes worthy of their name who did not sit around and cool their heels, but would be able to take three wolves apiece. They would be strong enough.

But to do that he needed to annihilate Gabriel, and also any who stood up for the eldest hybrid. He didn't want to do it so much as it was a necessity, for Andre had always been a kid about necessity, and it was one to fight. To hurt and try to kill. It burned in his stomach, spread to his toes, and launched him into a fray that need not even exist. Control had been maintained up until Die Bohrung, but that had been a more enlightening situation.

He still kicked himself whenever he thought of how he'd been drawn so easily into admitting that he would never love. That was something nobody needed to know, or could already infer, but uttering it as if it were not something the world did not need to know? He was a fool for ever doing that. He had retreated to the swamp, then, away from the structure off the beach and through the city and finally to the swamp. It was disgusting, and even in the midst of winter, the water battled on. He growled at the sucking sounds that dominated it, and pressed onward.

And that's when he came emerged on the coastline, right behind Hybrid, snarling bitterly at the surrounding territory.

Hybrid is about three metres away from Andrezej.

He could see him. The child was standing there, making noises under his breath as he stalked about the shores. Hybrid was unsure what the puppy had been doing, but it mattered very little. Hybrid had come to accomplish one thing, and that was to make the boy pay. Whether the boy died or not depended on his will to survive. On one hand, Hybrid felt such loathing that he was certain his anger would get the best of him, causing him to tear the boy to shreds, inevitably killing him. On the other hand, Hybrid also felt like leaving the boy to survive with his wounds, for he should not be worth his time. But here he was, looking for him.

No matter what happened, Hybrid needed to be certain the boy would have something to remember this encounter by. A scar was fine, but the loss of an eye would be preferable. Ripping of his ear, though satisfying, would have a small impact on the child. He wanted to make Andrezej remember who Hybrid was and what Inferni was. Now they were weak, but they would grow. They did not need a traitor. They did not need another creature like Vitium.

Hybrid snarled as he watched Andrezej, baring his fangs, but saying not a word. He remained still, watching the child, fur bristling. He stood at a ready position, weight balanced carefully so he had more on his back legs for when he would run and attack.

He composed himself in silence, the snarling dwindling away, before he looked up to see Hybrid not far from him. The other coyote was looking directly at him and, for a moment, he was struck with deja vu; he had been called a kitty by this one before. He almost had the impulse to walk over and engage the other in conversation of war, to bring the stronger, older hybrid to his side, but the minute fangs were bared in his direction, that disappeared.

He was taken over, instead, by the desire to respond in kind, but he struggled with it. Instead, his bright yellow eyes narrowed somewhat and, in the flattest tone he could manage, he ask of Hybrid, What the fuck is your problem?

Sorry Sad I'll try to make my posts shorter from now on, I swear!

The child he had once thought of as the one he would train to become great only knew fragments of who he was. Andrezej had not witnessed him decorate the clearing with the entrails of a wolf, one who had implored him to be granted life for a chance to find love. Nor had he seen Hybrid attack his (ex) lover. Once, to hurt, the second time to kill. Andrezej had heard stories from him, and although they promoted such behaviour, he knew nothing else. What little he knew was insubstantial. The child would soon learn.

Hybrid nearly laughed at the child's impetuously stupid question. Although Inferni had no law for those who betrayed them, those who were too selfish to invest their time in building up the clan for a greater good, Hybrid made it his duty to see that justice was brought to such wrongdoers.

He allowed himself a small smile, but it was devoid of any positive emotion. He never smiled to show joy; it was always a prelude to a snarl or the baring of his fangs. "You," he replied. He kept his head down, fangs bared and tail held high. He did not care for excuses, did not care for the other's words. In the span of a few seconds, Hybrid had wheeled around, moving quickly so he came around, behind Andrezej, attacking him in his blind spot. He twisted as he leapt at the other, fangs bared and claws outstretched, aiming for the neck, aiming to bring something more painful than death. Perhaps it was life, perhaps it was his sadistic mind at work: he did not want Andrezej to die. That would be too great a gift to the child. He deserved so much worse.

Though life may have been fucked up, he wouldn't have liked it any other way; had he any idea the kind of even worse perverse actions within his lineage, he might've been more capable of doing damage that need not be spread. However, it wasn't necessarily a question of should or could; he would, and he'd enjoy it, too. Hybrid was a big coyote, definitely, but Andre fancied himself fearless; cowardice only ran so deep, and then it could only be overrun by the will to survive.

And whether or not Hybrid knew that, or understood that, wasn't a concern of Andre's. His eyes remained fixed warily upon the coyote who was about to attack him, and he knew that; the uttered word was enough to make him tense his muscles even as the hybrid came for him.

Hybrid had more fighting experience, so all he could do was move. His body was young, lissome, and he would use that to his advantage. As the coyote leapt from somewhere, all he knew was that he had to go forward, because Hybrid was behind him. That said, his paws shot out from under him and he moved, snarling now in all his bitterness, muzzle tightening as Hybrid came down on the lower half of his body and it buckled under the weight.

And the whole time his mind was somewhere totally different, somewhere where the words, fuck me, were not particularly strange.

Hybrid felt himself make contact with Andrezej and scrambled to get a good grip on him. He dug his claws in and yanked - hard - attempting to pry some of Andrezej's skin off with his claws. He let go, dropping to his feet and snapping at Andrezej's legs from the side, avoiding from attacking from behind in case Andrezej decided to trick kicking him. He moved with ease and precision, keeping his head low and muscles loose so he could react quickly enough to inevitable retaliation.

He attacked again, moving forward, moving to make it seem like he would strike at Andrezej's neck. He leapt forward, but instead of following through and attacking the other's neck, he ducked down, using his momentum and body weight to try and crush Andrezej's front leg. He attacked, trying to catch the other's thin leg between his teeth so he could snap it in half. He wanted to ruin Andrezej, break him and make him feel a small fragment of the hatred he had for him. If anything, he would have to do more than simply give him a few scars and perhaps the loss of a limb. He would make him feel pain. He would make him know fear.

[ooc] and as you're falling down

[bic] could i hear you scream?

He twisted under the weight of the much larger coyote, upper half following the bottom to the ground as his shoulder struck hard earth and his neck turned, jaws snapping at the air just as Hybrid moved. His belly scuffed the ground as he pulled back from Hybrid's assault on his legs, snarling viciously but withholding any of his own strikes, for his crazy dance across the ground to get him away was hard enough to maintain without him trying to play serpent. He was more surprised with the simplicity and fluidity of the other's movements, as if he'd done it thousands of times.

But then, he very likely had. The deadly dance of canines was something he was none too practiced in, and it was infuriating to know he was at a disadvantage. His acidic eyes shifted to peripheral as the hybrid came in on his neck and, in the last instant, he turned and snapped his jaws shut with a yowling of vocal chords through his feral growl, for his target had shifted once more.

He collapsed under the sheer weight that shoved brutally into his leg. There was nothing left in him but simple bloodlust and unfelt hatred, for it was crushed by something other than itself; the weight of that something squeezed his life away like Hybrid's jaws squeezed his vulnerable leg. He didn't wince under the pressure of jaws, didn't even feel as his bone began to give way, for all he knew was the red haze that obstructed his view, the scents that drove his fury, and the skull. That beautiful, perfectly sculpted skull. That tainted and flawed, but determined skull.

That god damn skull that his teeth flashed toward. It wasn't the greatest place to attack, but hitting it hard enough with his teeth would at least cause some damage, and the locking of jaws could prove to make it difficult for Hybrid to go anywhere; this was all in theory, of course.
