Marik had talked to his brother and had been sent to seek out another member of the pack. His brother couldn’t explain the metal bits and pieces that he had found inside of another storage box that had broken. Since his brother had no idea what they were he had sent him to find one Cassius. His brother said that he had only met him once but seemed confident that this coyote would know just what they were. His brother had also said that the guy was living in the house as well. And had even ensured that Marik would seek him out by giving him the possibility that he just might have a chance to make a “friend” out of this Cassius. That hope was enough for him. Certainly it had him leaving the room that he shared with his brother after he was done being worked on in order to try and find this other coyote. Especially since his brother had given him the go ahead to flirt with this Cassius. Of course Cotl had told him to be careful. That he wasn’t sure if Cassius was like that or not. Still, the only way for Marik to find out was if he tested the waters. And he certainly intended upon doing just that. Of course he knew what no meant and wouldn’t press the issue if he was turned down. But still he wouldn’t be able to help but to flirt and hint, it was just who he was. His brother could testify to that one.

He had the small green pieces held in one hand as he walked around the large place in search of the other coyote. Silently he was wondering how many others lived in this place. There was his brother and him, this female named Halo, and now Cassius. At least those were the ones that he knew of and had been told of. But there could be more that he knew nothing about. It wasn’t like he had met everyone in the clan just yet. Actually his mind had been on other topics as of late. Like attempting on trying to settle in during this turbulent period in time. After all he had come into this clan during a time of upset. He was new to this country and found himself stuck in the muddle of war because he had promised to stay with his brother. He was expected to be fighting in something that he knew nothing about. Over things he had no opinion on. He wasn’t sure why this war was going on except that something happened to one of the leaders. Just what happened he didn’t know. He just knew that it resulted in war. He wasn’t really a fighter but he could act out in setting up defenses. He was on the short side. Practically everyone towered over him so he was at a disadvantage there. And also because he just had no interest in it. Fighting just wasn’t his cup of tea. He was interested in other physical aspects, though he added a slight amount of violence to that. Sure, he was covered in scars but that wasn’t from fighting. They were all strictly from physical relationships. Each one coming from different encounters, sometimes the same beings but during different sessions.

He followed the instructions his brother had given him in order to find this other coyote. In the back of his mind he wondered just how they would end up getting along. Cotl seemed to like him well enough so he really couldn’t be all that bad. Especially since his brother wasn’t one to talk to too many. Or at least he hadn’t been that type back in Germany. His brother had noticeably change since being in Canada. There were times when he wasn’t even sure if he remembered exactly who his brother was at all. Everything just felt to be so topsy turvy here. To just be completely upside down. Like they had switched up positions. It wasn’t exactly a fun feeling for Marik. He felt too dependent on his brother and he didn’t exactly like it. He had always been the one to be there for Cotl. To take care of him. And now it wasn’t like that. Cotl didn’t need him anymore. That alone left Marik feeling so lost and confused. But what else could he do except to try and make the best of it. And that is just what he was doing. He was trying to make the best of this new situation that he was in.

The boy believed that his brother had said something about the other being in the garage. He had no idea what the other was doing there all by himself. There were still plenty of rooms on the floor that he was sharing with his brother. But what could he say? He was still sharing a bed with Cotl. But it was probably a little known fact that his brother liked to cuddle at night. Which was why he was still in the same room as his brother was. He was there to keep his brother company and to offer him that comfort that he wanted as Cotl held onto him throughout the night. Despite how close their bodies were pressed together at night their relationship was strictly platonic and brotherly. It was something that probably no one else would get but that didn’t matter. It was between him and his brother.

He headed out of the mansion so that he could circle around and get to the garage. He entered the attached building and glanced around. He had no idea if the guy was still even on Inferni grounds, let alone at the mansion. Well all he could really do is check and see. So far he was turning up nothing. He didn’t see anyone around. Couldn’t even find a sign of someone living in this space. Had Cotl gotten it wrong? Or maybe he had misheard his brother? And since he was seeing nothing he called out instead. Maybe he would get an answer. “Cassius? Are you here? Cotl told me to come and see you.”

OOC: Sweet Baby Jesus that post is SOOOOOO long XD

------------------------------------------------------------

Sound asleep, Cassius did not worry of the day's work ahead. He still had to go out to check up on the traps and fix up some of his inventions. He liked being in the upper loft of the garage, no one knew it was necessarily there, and it had two entrances to use. There was the ladder entrance from below, in which he could could slide the ladder up for privacy, and a hatch to the mansion's second floor. it was quite convenient for the coyote, since he often preferred the privacy when he worked. The bed was quite comfortable, the whole loft was roomy though. He liked it very much, and it was heated from the inside of the house, and a makeshift fireplace he built for the wintertime. At the moment, it was flickering on his bed, with Cassius pleasantly napping.

However, he was abruptly awakened by a stark sound, sounding like a slammed door or something. While already awake, Cassius took this time to freshen up a bit, since he had barely fixed himself up since arriving at Inferni. He climbed lazily out of his bed, his white shirt and shorts still on his body. Ruffled through a bag until he found some scissors, wondering how those got there in the first place. He looked up, a mirror conveniently hung there, and saw his disheveled appearance. Startled for a moment, he decided to try to give himself a quick haircut (without injuring himself of course) and within a few minutes, his hair was nice and short again, his bangs resting just above his eyes like before.

Now over with getting himself ready for the day, he heard another door opened, this time coming from below. The coyote paused, waiting for another sound like a clatter of sorts, but instead was greeted with a voice that called for him. It also mentioned Cotl, another member of the mansion. Interested, Cass poked his head out of the square hatch in the floor leading to the garage, seeing an upside down figure. "Well I sure am here. Who's askin'?" he questioned the figure. The hybrid swung himself around, dropping onto the floor of the garage, finally seeing the questioner the right-side up. He seemed familiar, but knew he'd never seen this individual before. He also spied his cupped hand holding some kind of green stuff in it. He cocked his head, purple eyes looking back up at the male's face.

That was something Marik needed to do soon. To get his hair trimmed back down since it was starting to get shaggy. He would have to bother Cotl to do it for him. After all Cotl knew exactly how he liked it styled. Though he supposed that he could go longer. But somehow he didn’t think that would work out for him. He didn’t think that he would really look right with long hair. Of course he could be entirely wrong though. He might just be able to pull it off after all. But really long hair was his brother’s thing. He liked just enough to be able to grab onto and tug on. Nothing more than that was really needed, was it? Who would want more than that anyways? But that was getting off subject. Those thoughts were better left for when he bothered Cotl to cut his hair. Right now he had to concentrate on finding Cassius. His brother had said that this coyote would be able to answer his questions. He certainly hoped so. He wanted to know what this green metal was. What it was used for. What the importance of it was. He was trusting that this other Inferni clan member would be able to answer all of these questions. Trust that he knew what he was talking about. Trust that he would be able to clear up a lot of the confusion. That was a lot of trust being placed on someone he didn’t know and had never met before. So it was a good thing that Marik didn’t have trust issues.

He wasn’t sure what to expect when he found the other. But clothing certainly wasn’t on that list. Actually he wasn’t used to seeing clothing. So the sight of it had him stilling his tongue in order to actually take in the other’s appearance. What did the other look like underneath all of that unneeded material? Why was he wearing it? Was it comfortable? His gaze roamed slowly over the other’s body. He was appraising things on a deeper level than he usually did. On a level deeper than physical attraction. It was the clothing adding in further mystery that had him wondering more. It made Marik want to get rid of the clothes. Get rid of them to see if Cassius had any special marks. Or maybe Cotl had worked on him. His brother hadn’t mentioned how he had met him and knew him exactly. All these factors made him even more curious than usual. It took him a few moments but he finally dragged his gaze back up to the other’s face. Oh how he hoped that Cotl had speculated right on this guy’s sexuality.

“I’m Marik, Cotl’s brother. He said you would know what these are.” After he had spoken he held out his hand to show off the pieces that he had come across in Halifax. How was he to recognize them as computer components? All he knew was that they had come from a storage box that he had accidentally broken. His brother hadn’t been able to explain it but had directed him to Cassius. Now he just had to wait and see if his questions would be answered. “Do you recognize them? Do you know what they are used for?”

OOC: LOVE THAT MOVIE (and Anchorman of course!) and lol this is gonna get real awkward for Cass XD

------------------------------------------------------------

Once the other male introduced himself, Cassius immediately recognized the features that he shared with his brother. They had the same eyes, and sort of the same quirkyness. Cotl never mentioned any family before, though. "Cotl's brother? He done said nothin' t'me 'bout havin' family here, or anywheres fer that matter. That's okay though. Nice to meet ya, Marik," he said, then turning his attention to the green pieces that Marik held in his hands. He took them out of the male's hands and carefully examined the broken fragments with his own. "Interesting," he muttered placing the fragments back into Marik's hands.

"These're pieces of a motherboard, they go in computers an' stuff. They're like the heart of a computer." He scratched his head in dismay. "The problem is that you don't got any o'the other parts. Even if ya did have 'em though, this here motherboard's broken." He motioned to the pieces with his hand. "It can't be repaired," he said softly, sorry that he couldn't do much for the other male. "But," he started again, "If you can find me a new motherboard, and some of the other parts, I may be able t'put them together an' make a new computer. Provided we can find some electricity an' stuff."

OOC: table code, image, and Filler © Jacoby; 680 words; That is cause Will Ferrell is funny as heck and poor Cass, of course Marik is helping matters much.

------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, the eyes. That was the one thing everyone seemed to notice and remark on first. The brothers had the exact same eye coloring, though Marik’s eye would be known to wander. He just couldn’t help himself. Unlike his brother he couldn’t ignore primal needs and the like. Cotl was the prude, not him. So why should he be forced to limit himself just because his brother did. Good thing only their eyes were identical and not their entire look. If that was so then they most likely would be expected to react in the same ways. No, their personalities were as different as their looks. The shared a few common interests, as the body decorations showed, but other than that they mostly had different outlooks on everything. Not that it was so bothersome since they still got along rather well. Or at least as long as Marik wasn’t having one of his mood swings. Those times spoke of turmoil. But they didn’t last long. Cotl was able to calm him easily enough. And well, there was also liquor that could be offered to settle things. Alcohol and tattoos, the key to German hearts. Or at least for these brothers.

“Eh, I haven’t been here too long. Fresh in from Germany actually. Don’t expect he speaks much about the place. He never really saw it as home as I did. But then again our parents gave him the boot.” He shrugged a bit, the hybrid having no trouble at all speaking about family history. He didn’t agree with it but it had happened. It was something that had been dealt with in the ways that they could. Marik would visit as often as he could and would often bring over company. Germany was more of Marik’s home because he had fit in there. He was the one with the parent’s admiration and all of the friends. But in Canada it was near about the opposite. Cotl seemed to have all of the friends and charm here. And well the name wasn’t something that could be fallen back on in order to earn popularity. So Marik was more of the outcast here and could be heard of talking about going home. To him this place wasn’t home, Germany was. It had been his intention to drag Cotl back to Germany. But seeing how his brother got along in this place he just couldn’t do that and now it was a promise holding him here.

And all of those words pretty much went right over Marik’s head. He had no idea what the other coyote was going on about. Motherboard? Computer? Electricity? What the heck was he babbling about? The confusion was apparent on his face. “How about you just make the trip with me? You clearly know exactly what you are looking for. Or I could show you just where I found it. It came out of a storage box when it fell on the floor.” How was he to know that said storage box was actually the computer that Cassius was speaking about. He wasn’t all that well versed in human culture. His parents were more interested in him learning to fight, something that Marik had very little interest in, while Cotl was staying with a coyote that had submerged himself in human studies. But even with the knowledge from him Cotl hadn’t been able to explain the green pieces. And even though Cassius did Marik wasn’t any less confused. Which led to another point of interest.

Not even thinking about that personal bubble Marik had stepped forward to try and grab at Cass’s clothes in order to peek beneath them. “What is going on with your fur? What are you hiding? Bald patches? Was Cotl getrunken and screwed something up?” What? His brother didn’t wear human articles and so he wasn’t used to seeing them. He didn’t understand their purpose except to hide something that wasn’t wanted to be seen, or so he figured. And of course for it to be hidden he wanted to know what it was.

OOC: AWKWARD TURTLE :>

------------------------------------------------------------

Cassius was a bit surprised to hear about how Marik saw Germany compared to Cotl. It also seemed that Cotl's own parents kicked him out. He assumed they maybe didn't like how he was an artist or something. Warriors and soldiers were a common occurrence these days. Cassius cocked his head to the side. "Well, I -uh - di'n't know 'bout that. I guess that was his good reason not t'say much then," he muttered, looking down. He had never thought about that, and felt sort of bad because of it.

When he tried to explain what the parts were, it seemed that Marik had no clue what he was saying. Cassius figured, since not everyone was human-savvy here. He sighed, knowing it would be useless to try to explain further. Marik suggested that he go with him to Halifax, and how could the hybrid refuse? "Oh, sure I guess. I been plannin' with Cotl t'go fer parts. You can come too." Cass scratched his head. He thought about the storage box. Most computer parts weren't found individually, but inside the box compartment that everything else was in. Cassius gave Marik a questionable look. "Did the storage box it fell outta have a bunch o'buttons or pressable thingers on it?" he asked, unsure.

In an instant Marik was then trying to dig into his clothes, asking various questions that Cassius deemed a little personal, although he wasn't hiding a thing from anyone. Without thinking, Cass slapped Marik on the head, as if an owner was punishing a pet for peeing on the floor. "WHAT THE HELL 'RE YOU DOIN'?" Cassius looked at Marik, horrified by the situation, and slightly embarrassed to boot.
