For Aquilina

Nocht is a stoopid, lol.

we launch ourselves into the bright::in character

Nocht wandered the beach often lately, searching aimlessly for any remains of her sunken

ship. She knew there was even less chance of her finding anything or of anything being

swept ashore as time went past, but it gave her something to do, when she wasn't sleeping

or eating or putting off making herself a new fishing rod. The beach itself was, if not

quite pleasant, an interesting place to be. There were always small sea creatures being

swept ashore, drift wood to poke at, an ever-changing horizon to watch. Seabirds wheeled

and dealed in the sky, crashing into the waves to emerge again and the sunsets and night

skies she had seen here were nothing like she had ever seen at home. However, no matter how

much time she spent on the beach she never ventured further south than the tide pools and

caves which cut the beach in half. There was a strong, unfamiliar scent lingering there,

which Nocht could assume meant coyote.

She had been warned by Phoenix when he had accepted her to stay away from the clan that

lived on the beach. Thus far she had yet to see any coyotes encroach upon 'her' part of the

beach. She had swept over it aimlessly so often in the preceding weeks that she had come to

think of it as her own. She was not so presumptuous as to actually think that she could

claim it for herself, nor so lonesome, as she had encountered others in her spare time, but

in her mind she associated it with herself. And so far Nocht had done as she was told,

which hadn't been difficult. As it was, embarrassingly enough, she didn't actually know

what a coyote looked like. There were none where she came from. But it was only under

duress that she would admit it. It sounded like a small animal to her, but from Phoenix's

brief description she assumed they were similar enough to wolves. She knew of few enough

creatures which formed clans or claimed lands as they did.

However, today as she lurked on the edge of the beach, dipping into the tide pools

occasionally, peering into caves curiously, Nocht was bored. She spent a little time

sitting, in were form as usual, with her feet dangling into the air on the edge of a rock

with a sharp edge knocked off it, as she peered out at the empty sea and glanced at the

unexplored beach on her other side. It called to her with a siren song. It looked no more

dangerous or out of bounds than the beach that she had just left and she didn't know what

could have washed ashore over there that she may lay rightful claim to. A quick jaunt, not

so far in even, could only be harmless, surely? She wouldn't even stay long, she thought as

she pulled herself up and padded over the rocks, landing on the soft sand.

Maybe, or maybe not.. but she'll sure feel that way after. xD

[____]Aquilina had been around all day, in search of something to bug, to torture. However, she was finding no luck for herself, and was becoming quite bored with it all. The cinnamon female sighed, why on earth could she not find any prey that she could lurk and soon disband, it's head with body, in one quick snap. Oh the pain she was causing herself by even letting it linger in her mind. With a sigh, followed with a huff and puff, she walked away. Aquilina was sure to find something to do along the beach, even if she was just to lay in the sand for hours in hope someone would find her and someone she could complain to.

[____]The days without Samson were once again lonely, she hated this place as there was no one to talk to and nor did she request to talk to anybody. The thing was, she had been away for a week or so and when she came back, her world was gone. She had seen enough dread in her life time. Plus, the person in her head remained, Estella was her name. Aquilina had a crazy women inside her head, that made her crazy and lead her to do things no one would ever wish to do. Aquilina and Estella had become friends though, after Samson Adonis' leave. Aquilina decided that she didn't need to hide who she was, and now she was as rude and selfish as Estella. What she did to her family, well now she did it all the time to wolves, except Estella wasn't controlling her, she just gave Aquilina ideas. Who cared if she was crazy, she sure didn't, if anything... she put it to use. The only living things on earth she respected, were the coyotes she was with, the pack Inferni.

[____]No longer in need of that happening though, as the cinnamon coyote found her prey. A lonely she-wolf sitting upon the rocks, someone that looked very fragile. A smile appeared upon her lips, letting the moment sink in as she thought a way to attack upon the wolf. Aquilina had awaited this moment all day, finally what she sought was right under her nose. Slowly approaching the she-wolf, Estella spoke to Aquilina. Everything Estella said was inside the coyotes head unless Estella spoke for Aquilina, but no one would know who was speaking unless they said so. "Remember Aquilina, she could jump you at any time...so stay on guard." Aquilina snarled, "Will do." she whispered out loud. Getting closer, Aquilina eyed the female, brown eyes locked upon the female, "You better watch out... especially when you're upon the Inferni lands." she snapped at her soon-to-be opponent, she was going to make sure it happened.

Nocht was so distracted by the excitement of exploring the new beach, the illicit thrill that she didn't see the coyote until it was too late. She had only gone a few steps when at the sound of someone talking to themselves quietly behind her she froze, feeling the blood rushing to her cheeks, warming the skin beneath her grey fur. She turned slowly, almost immobile due to embarrassment, hoping like hell that there would be no one behind her, hoping the noise she had heard would turn out to simply be the wind whispering words in her ear. She cringed when she caught sight of the russet furred almost-wolf. The animal looked vaguely familiar, but not quite like anything she had ever seen and not quite like the image she had created in her mind of a coyote either, but that must have been what it was. She tensed at the snarled warning, suddenly feeling even more foolish and out of her depth than she had moments previously. On the upside, she knew what a coyote looked like now. She wondered if she could play it off as an accident, but the beach stunk of coyote and she'd been warned. This could be bad and today didn't feel like a good day for bad things to happen.

She lifted her hands a little in peace offering, her head rearing back slightly, protectively. "Uhh, sorry about this." Nocht glanced to her left without moving her head and stuck out her lower lip in thought. "Should I just be going?" She asked, sticking out her thumbs and pointing at the beach on the other side of the rocks. She was so screwed. So, so screwed, because there was no way she was getting out of this one so easily. She considered saying something else, but decided against. She'd probably made enough of an eejit out of herself so far.
