laid to waste

Vitium had grown bored with lurking within the pack’s borders and sharpening blades. The whisper man suggested that he take the time to stroll the lands. His eyes lit brightly as he realized that there was much land around Inferni and he could go scouting about their lands and see just what was going on. He knew that if he stayed far enough away there was a good chance that Gabriel or Kaena wouldn’t know he was about. If he was lucky he could find some foolish young clan member to spill their guts about the inner workings of the clan. He figured that Gabriel and Kaena ran the place much like they had years ago when he walked the lands beside them, but it never hurt to spy.

The hybrid male moved quickly through the lands, his right eye giving him trouble, he had never lost the eye from his mother’s assault but he had enough problems as he’d grown older. The angry scars that lashed across his face was a reminder to all what happened when you crossed the queen. He had grown to live with the scars and he knew that soon enough he would be able to thank her for the deed and deliver justice in return. A dark twisted smile spread across his maw at the idea as he chuckled quietly to himself. He would show them, yes, and then things would be made clear. The whisper man had promised him.

It didn’t take him long to gain access to the barren lands, that which they called the Waste. He let his eyes scan across what lay before him as he slowly began to explore the lands that bordered Inferni. He would find a good place to spy along the few trees, or perhaps he could go into the mountain even. His mind was a whirl of ideas as he hummed softly to himself and approached a small copse of trees. His voice was low and eerie over the lands as he began to laugh softly. He so hoped he would find a pretty young thing to twist and play with. One who would indulge him off all the clan’s secrets without any thought to the wisdom of what they were doing. His dark eyes danced merrily at the idea. The whisper man would be pleased indeed.
