lol!

Oh God what had he done! Minos couldn't believe that his dear friend was now flailing on the ground and all because of his uncontrollable desire to play. Such a thing was dangerous, and he needed to gain composure and control of his unruly nature. Maybe he would be okay, survive this fall. Of course he hadn't fallen down a cliff, such a thing would have been much worse. In the milliseconds that had passed Mino could not smell blood, but he knew of those that did not bleed and still perished a horrible, horrible, excruciatingly horrible demise. His friend spoke, still moving and fighting for life. Minos backed up, giving the poor creature air.

He was trying to rise, and the white wolf almost wanted to discourage it. He needed to stay put in case his insides were jumbled or something. His head lowered, smelling to see if he was beginning to rot as ill things seemed to do. He smiled, and Minos cocked his head in confusion. And then! The coyote popped up and tagged him. The pack-wolf stood in disbelief, watching as the coyote ran away. Then slowly he began to follow. He trot grew to a sprint. What a trickster! The thought brought a harder faster run and Mino tried to catch up with him.

300 + words.

He had not intended to trick his friend, but since he had fallen so conveniently, it just seemed like the thing to do. Besides, now he got to be the one that was being chased! He darted by the tree that he had first found Minos marking, taking a page from the Dahlian wolf's book by going near that specific tree. He didn't really know what he was going to do, though, since he did not want to take Minos' tree and he also did not want to fight him. . . That would be sad, and it also would not have been any fun. Instead, Nala kept moving, weaving his way through the trees but making sure he was really careful not to trip over any more tree roots. He did not want to get hurt! Nala had been lucky, he decided, the first time he had fallen and next time, he'd get really hurt, he just knew it. It was just what would happen.

Nala giggled, turning to look over his shoulder to make sure that Minos was still following him and stuff, and to his delight, he was! Playing was so much fun, and it was so awesome that he found someone to play with him, even if they were not supposed to be friends. None of that mattered, though, and he was sure that if he told anyone he had a friend in Dahlia de Mai, they wouldn't be able to get mad at him. Come on, they were friends! And that was perfectly okay, he was sure. "I bet you can't catch me!" he called over his shoulder, enticing his new best friend to try and catch him so that he could chase again. Now that he was being chased, he did not know where to run to!

No! Minos thought as he saw the other male run near his tree. He had worked so hard claiming that one place and he would have been incredible unhappy if he had to mark it once more. He felt already that he was running on empty, and with no water source to replenish his supply Minos was a bit out of luck. But, he considered as he followed along, the tan beast was moving away and didn't pause at the tree. Good thing Nala, for Mino was catching up and if the yote had stalled he would have surly caught him.

Leaping over a root the larger canine propelled his form through the forest, debris and loose snow-remains sloshing and flying around his once pale pelt. The coyote was fast, light and lithe body making it easy for him to maneuver around the trees and nimble enough to avoid most roots and rocks. His call seemed mocking, though he took it as encouragement. The wolf was becoming determined, and his body now took the form of a tense and focused hunter. Yellow eyes honed in on the tawny creature, his nostrils flaring as he followed the scent's path. Closer and closer, yards, steps. Then he could almost touch his tail with his black nose. Noticing that he was indeed so close to his friend Minos remembered that yes they were just playing. The softness returned to his body, a play driven nip attempting to catch the tip of the sandy tail.
