Today, she was in her Optime form and her hair was heavy with rain. It was another day with nothing but wetness and dim lit skies. Nonetheless, she found a home to her liking and was getting use to this new life. Despite the present war this pack was involved in, becoming a member of this pack didn't seem like a bad idea. They accepted her despite her small stature, which made her happy. She would always be insecure of herself thanks to her "family"; if you could call them that. She was hanging around The Caves, learning its layout. It was best to learn the land you chose to live on. As usual, she was alone but it didn't bother her today. Naturally, she was wet but at least it wasn't thundering. Every now and then she would find a spot that offered coverage where she could sit and get out of the rain. Eventually, she would leave these spots to do more exploring.

Her prized bracelet was securely fastened on the base of her tail, forever reminding her of the only friend she had. He was the only one, so far, who has managed to make her feel visible. Yes, she felt invisible to the world. She felt that nobody cared. If she were to die right now, no one would be sad. Her death would not affect the world; it would keep turning with no tears shed for her. Her golden eyes had seen enough for the moment and so she searched for another natural umbrella. Upon discovering, she stooped down and sat Indian style to get out of the drizzle. She proceeded to ring out her black hair with her hands, feeling the water trickle on her shoulder. Perhaps, if she waited long enough, the rain would end.

In the time she had been in Inferni, it rained a good majority of the time. It was very different from Eterne, Mexico, which was rather dry and hot and something she was used to. The weather made her feel weird sometimes, a little down, but it was a nice change. It was beautiful in its own way but today, rain was not what she wanted. She was healing, still in pain, and waiting for life to move on enough for her to not feel the odd twisting of her back that caused a sharp touch that made her cringe. Kaena was not in the den today, she thought she heard her say she was going to visit Gabriel or someone else but she had yet to return, leaving the slave to her own accord and she mindlessly moved things around and then returned them to their place in order to keep her busy. She was starting to get restless these days.

Just out of the cave entrance, the woman saw someone sitting and avoiding the rain. Her golden eyes studied the figure she had never met before and her hand lightly touched the side of the cave. Vieira stood in the entrance and watched, glancing away every now and then but she did not leave. She did not have permission to leave. Slowly, the woman lifted her hand and waved. She was not trying to get her attention but to be polite to the Inferni member, new or not, and she played with a smile on the corners of her lips to show her kindness. Her hand dropped and she waited to see if the other noticed at all. If she did not, the woman would not mind. She would turn back around an go about her usual business.

The rain was not ending. She hated the rain. It reminded her of sadness, something that was always present in her heart. How unlucky for her. It has been raining for days. Will it ever stop? She frowned at the thought of never ending rain. For now, she simply sat under the temporary shelter rinsing out her black hair until she couldn't ring anymore water out. She wrapped her arms around her, sighing softly to herself. There was nothing to do under this shade and she was becoming bored. "なぜこれほど多くの雨が降りているのですか?" She said, in her first language. Haruhi knew how to speak both Japanese and English fluently. So it was hard to determine that she knows multiple languages. She mostly uses English, which would make others think English was her first and only language.

It wasn't long before movement caught her eyes. She narrowed her eyes to focus more on the figure. It was a female, waving at her within a cave. It was obvious the girl was motioning at her. She slowly raised her black hand and waved with the same speed. Though the female sported a friendly smile, Haruhi's expression stayed the same. Smiling was a rarity of hers. Though her face remained expressionless, she still appeared friendly. She felt nervous, though, due to the fact that this pack member was a stranger. She wasn't sure if she wanted her to join her or not so she just sat there, looking at her. If she wasn't shy, she would have spoken to the girl. She would have appeared friendlier and joined her without any invitations. Yes, that was how it would have gone but Haruhi was not that type of girl. She did take note in her quietness and wondered if she too was shy.

Vieira was the exact opposite of a social butterfly. Astaroth had raised her without very much contact with other canines. Sivaro was the extent of her contact and it was not what she looked forward to when her father disappeared for days to visit other areas. She hated the man, even now in his grave, and would much rather have stuck with Astaroth. Perhaps her father had a spot in his mind, knowing she was his daughter, that Sivaro did not have. Her father was just as sadistic but there was a difference and she could tell and she had been forced to look forward to her father's return. When her father did not return, and instead came a note of his death, having been forced to remain under Sivaro's rule had been a nightmare. Vieira had never wanted death more in her life and the months of torture she had been subjected to was enough to justify every wish for death to visit her. There had never been a break of her abuse, whether it was physical, emotional, or sexual.

Her jaw tightened at the thought and she tried to shake it when the other noticed her. Her hand had fallen to her side slowly and she smiled, fighting through the thoughts in her head. Her greeting had been made but the other made no other motion to do anything. She found it was unfortunate that it was raining and the woman was out there but Kaena was not inside to decide what to do. Her head turned to look inside the cave and then around the surrounding area should the woman approach any time soon. Vieira doubted she would actually try to ask for the other woman to come in through Kaena but it was a nice thought and she was at least polite, at least as much as she knew how to be. She often came off as timid an scared because she had no other way to respond to certain situations. It made things difficult, awkward, and potentially ruined connections between herself any anyone else.

She doubted Anselm would want to see her again with how she acted but with her nature and, on top of it, the stress she had experienced the last few days was enough to push her to the limit. Rikka was a different story. She was persistent on trying to make friends with her, treat her like a normal coyote (which Vieira thought was weird because she knew she was not normal) and made it weird for the both of them. Snake, however, was the one she felt the most comfortable around. Her eyes turned slightly to look back to the coyote sitting in the rain and her smile faded, a frown formed on her features about her situation and she wondered if the woman had a den or cave to return to. Her owner and the leader of Inferni had quickly come to realize how useless she was in the wild, how little she could actually take care of herself when her entire life had been on focused on taking care of someone else.

She didn't know what to do. She was shy and didn't approach strangers easily. For now she simply sat there and looked to her with a shy expression. She then broke her connection to look to the sky. There was no sign of it letting up and she sighed once more. Her golden eyes returned to the girl who remained silent like herself. Perhaps she was shy as well. She was beginning to wonder if she wanted company, despite the absence of her voice. Could she really bring herself to going to her den? The nervous feeling she had been feeling, grew with that thought. She took a deep breath and slowly released it. How did she happen to stop right in front of someone's den? Was this some sort of test?

She studied the girl's appearance. She was similar to herself, with some differences. She had blondish hair while Haruhi had black hair. Haruhi also had dark paws and a darken-tipped tail that the other lacked. Their eyes, on the other hand, were both golden. She watched as she began to look around. Haruhi was confused by this sudden action. Was she looking for someone? Was she waiting for someone to come? Her eyes narrowed slightly as she tried to decipher her actions.

Maybe she was lonely and secretly wanted her to come. Who knew? Haruhi would return to her den but she didn't feel like walking in the rain anymore. Perhaps she could go greet the girl. Once more, the nervousness grew stronger. Inhaling hard, she got on her feet. She stepped out into the rain, feeling the water cling to her hair, and headed for the den. Once at the door, she spoke with the same expressionless face. "Um, want some company?" She asked, trying to fight the nervousness within.

Vieira caught a movement from the corner of her eye and her golden orbs turned to look at the woman as she stood, advancing toward the cave as if she had been invited. She looked nervous or shy and Vieira took a few steps back into the cave but it was evident the other was coming forth. Perhaps her wave had been misinterpreted as the need for company and Vieira's breath quickened, her heart beating faster in her chest when it was obvious she was coming and not making a detour to go somewhere else. The slave retracted her steps to the entrance of the cave and standing off center with her hand placed neatly on the wall of the cave. She started to get nervous because Kaena was not around and she knew could not ignore the woman she accidentally summoned to her home.

The other stopped short of coming inside, asking if she wanted company, and Vieira awkwardly stared at the woman's hands. She was not able to make eye contact because of her status (and it was naturally odd for her and made her feel awkward if she ever had to) and thought about how to answer. "Okay," she said quietly, not objecting nor admitting she wanted it. A new face was not so bad but she hoped she did not ruin the connection between her and the woman standing in front of her. "Miss Kaena lives here but she is away," she said, making sure the other knew the sub-leader of Inferni was the real inhabitant here. Kaena just allowed her to keep the small room off to the side because she was her property. Vieira realized how lucky she was to have her own room instead of being chained up outside like the woman's daughter had treated her.

"Do you want to come inside? I can get a towel," she said, offering up her kindness and services. She knew Kaena would want her to be polite to the members of Inferni and slowly, Vieira started to back up to let her in. The entrance of the cave was rather wide but she made sure to get out of the way. She turned toward where they kept a small stack of towels (what she used to cook with so she did not burn her hands on the skillet) and grabbed two medium sized pieces of cloth to return to the drenched woman. She wanted to ask why the other had been in the rain, just sitting there, and not back at her den (if she had one, that is) in order to keep out of the rain. Vieira had not waited for her to speak before she returned to stand in front of the woman, her arms holding out the off colored towels toward the soaked woman. "My name is Vieira Lykoi," she said as she focused her golden eyes on the ground. She wanted to go ahead and explain what she was but instead, she kept it quiet and hoped it would not turn out the same as it had with Anselm.

One of the reasons she was shy and nervous was that she didn't know how to interact with others. It was all thanks to that "family" of hers. She never had friends except one. Currently, she was without friendship once more. Her only friend had died from some kind of illness. Perhaps she was destined to be alone. She was born to a family who hated her for her size and threw her away. She had finally found a friend only to lose them. She felt so unwanted in this world and that luck was absent in her life; not only luck, but happiness. Was there a day she smiled? She had forgotten when she last curved her lips into something that, under normal circumstances, would be common. It wouldn't be a surprise for her if she forgot how to smile. Sometimes she wished she was never born. Then, after meeting Riley, her wish had changed. Thanks to Riley, the friend she lost, she now wished she was born into a different family. If that happened, she would know what it was like to be loved, wanted, to be happy, and enjoy life.

She had spontaneously joined this pack and started a new life with others. She had been alone for a long time that this was strange and new. If she was to start a new life, changing a few things about herself may be necessary. Though, was it possible? Nonetheless, Haruhi was taking the first steps in trying to do what she felt was impossible; to change herself. She approached the doorway to the girl's den. Well, she assumed it was hers. She asked if she wanted company, something that was not easy for her to do. The other had remained silent, failing to make eye contact. This made her curious but she did not question her about it. She simply waited for her reply. Soon enough, she accepted her. Apparently, this was not her den. It belonged to Kaena, a name she remembered hearing. It wasn't too long before it clicked. Kaena was one of the leaders of Inferni. This made her even more nervous.

Upon her question, Haruhi simply nodded. As she backed up to allow her room, though the opening was wide enough, she took the opportunity to enter. She did so, cautiously. The fact that she was entering a leader's den made her heart race. She watched as the girl grabbed two towels from a rack and returned. As she presented them to her, she offered her name. Vieira Lykoi. She noticed that she still made no eye contact. Furthermore, why was she living with the leader? Was she related to her? The fact that she couldn't look her in the eye made her curious. No matter, she gently took the towels and draped one over her head and proceeded to wipe her arms. She looked at Vieira in the process of drying off. It was her turn to share her name. "My name is Haruhi Misaki." She introduced. "Thank you for the towels." She added. She then began to rub the towel that she had placed on her head to dry her black hair. "Uh, so...is it alright for me to be here? I mean, this is a leader's house..." She said, eying the entrance. What if she came thinking she was trespassing into her home? Her nervousness was most likely showing and it was only getting worse.

"It is nice to meet you," she said quietly and waited for her to finish with the towels or continue to use them while she was here. She would need to spread them out to dry somewhere in a corner and then explain why she had used them to Kaena. Vieira hoped the kindness she was showing a pack member, someone higher than her in Inferni rank and status, that Kaena would accept her actions in her absence. It was hard for the slave to determine what was allowed and what was not when Astaroth and Sivaro had been so strict on her. She knew, with them, what they allowed and did not and Vieira was on a very short leash that never gave her room to do anything for herself. It was always about them, one way or another, and she had to often times abuse herself because it was what they wanted. Her eyes closed for a moment, comparing her former owners to her current.

The woman only nodded when Haruhi gave her thanks, a bit of a smile on her features when she opened her golden gaze, lifting them only slightly but only as far as the woman's waistline. She could not go much further but she did not want to e seen as if she were ignoring her. Instead, she approached the topic of the woman's concerns and she nodded her head. "You will not get in trouble," she murmured softly and wagged her tail. If anyone would get in trouble over this, it would be Vieira for breaking rules that Kaena had made, regardless if she had been told or not. This was not her cave, but Kaena's. Vieira simply lived here because Kaena allowed it. The woman could have easily made her find her own dwelling and be at hand when the Centurion wanted her there.

Vieira could hear Astaroth's distant laughter in the back of her mind, mocking her for the potential trouble she could be in. She had said something to Kaena about the voice and Astaroth hid a few times and did not come out. It was only prominent when Kaena was around but with her gone, he was in full force. It was as if Kaena scared him away when she was around, ever since she brought it up. He started to convince her she would get in trouble, forming punishments in her mind and she did her best not to cringe at the thought. She had already broken the rule and there was no way around it. Even if the woman told her to leave, the scent would be here and at least she could make up by being polite to an Inferni member. Being rude to anyone would come at a much higher cost that Vieira did not want to put herself through. She wanted to convince herself that Kaena would not do anything, that she would be forgiven or overlooked, but she was not strong. And even in death, living in the back of her head, Astaroth was far stronger than she would ever be.

After hearing that it was nice to meet her, something she rarely heard, she nodded. Vieira was quiet like her. She seemed shy like her as well, except she could at least make eye contact. Vieira seemed to have trouble doing that. Was she worse than her in terms of being shy? She didn't think one could be more shy then herself. She continued to dry herself, her hair took the longest. She had hoped she wasn't causing her trouble. She wasn't one to enjoy causing other's trouble.

She was worried, though, that she would get in trouble being here. This was Kaena's home and she wasn't present at the time. So she questioned her stay and the girl reassured her that she was fine. She nodded to show she understood but she still felt a bit concerned. "Okay." She murmured. She was finished. She wasn't completely dried but it would have to do. She gathered them neatly, only folding them in half for carrying purposes, and reached her arms out towards her. "I, um, I'm done." She said. She suddenly realized something and pulled the towels closer to her body. "Um, I can hang them for you since, well, I used them." It was the polite thing to do, yes? She wouldn't move unless she was given the okay. She was a mere visitor and felt it rude to just go anywhere.

Vieira's arms hung low at her sides, her claws dancing on the sides of her thighs as she usually did. It was a nervous habit she had always done when left in limbo between one task and the next, from order to order, and other times when she as left without purpose. She needed direction but she did not have as much here and sometimes had to find things to fill it with. If this new Inferni member had not shown up, Vieira would be sitting blankly in her room. She might have taken her Lego blocks apart or held the Rudolph the red nosed reindeer Snake had given her a few days ago. She did not receive gifts often (in fact, Snake had been the first to give her something like this) and now that she had two things to call her own for the first time in her life, she did not know what to think of such things. She had always been the one to give (mainly because she was forced to give regardless of how much she wanted to or had not wanted to).

The other woman wrapped up her use of the towel and she stopped the tapping of her fingers against her thighs and then came to attention when Haruhi announced she was finished. Vieira lifted her arms to offer up their return but she said she could easily hang them up, her own heart beating heavily against the inside of her chest. "No, no," she said and realized she blurted it out faster than she intended. She almost sounded panicked but took a breath to calm herself and shook her head to emphasize it was quite all right. "I can do it," she informed and flicked her tail behind her, her hands open and ready to take the pieces of cloth from the woman.

Even if the other was a guest in the cave and had used the towel, Vieira could not let her do something she was meant to do. Vieira was a slave, lower in the hierarchy of life and the ranks of Inferni that she could not allow something like this to happen. If Kaena came in at the moment the other was doing something and Vieira was standing around, surely it would upset her owner and the punishment would be emphasized. Her jaw tightened reflexively and waited to take the folded towels from the woman. "Is there anything else I can get for you?" she asked with a polite smile, a smile a server would have when taking care of a table at a restaurant. It was her duty to take care of someone else, even if it was not her owner. Unfortunately, Vieira did not feel she had much to offer her companion. She could not give away anything in the cave (were the towels pushing it?) but she had to put the offer out on the table in case there was something Vieira could actually for the other aside from keeping her company.

Haruhi had to wonder what possessed her to think it was good to come out in this rain to explore the land. It was good to learn the home but surely she could have waited for the weather to become better. Oh well, she was out and about despite the dislike of rain. At least she learned the whereabouts of one of the leaders. Her ears picked up the sound of rain from behind. It was obviously still raining. She still felt nervous staying inside a leader's home without them there. Though, she focused on the present member within the den.

She didn't mind doing it herself. She was the one who used them after all. So she offered to take care of them but the golden eyed girl refused with such speed. It managed to bring a surprised look to her face followed by, "Ehh?" It was a reflex caused by Vieira. Her surprised eyes returned to their normal state as she did as well before speaking once more. "Ah, okay then." She responded. She gently placed the towels in her out reached hands. She wondered why she reacts in such a way. It really confused her. She just didn't get it.

Haruhi was unaware that she was a lower rank. She didn't think there were lower ranks than the one she currently had. Vieira was beginning to become interesting. She was a mystery to her. Her behavior was similar but she wouldn't look her in the eyes, not even once. Her voice broke her out of thought. "No, I'm fine....thanks." She couldn't ask for anymore. She had already dirtied some towels of hers. She eyed the house a bit. It was rather nice, no surprise though. It was a leader's home after all. She nervously looked to Vieira once more. She was unsure of what else to say. So she began to fidget with her own fingers.

Vieira took hold of the towels Haruhi handed over and she smiled, relaxing and her heart started to rest inside her chest. She had not meant to act so panicked as before but now she was calm. Vieira turned slightly toward one side of the cave, close to the entrance of her own room, and she stretched out the towels on the floor. They were not soaking wet, she did not need to ring them out, and hopefully within a few hours they would be dry or dry enough to tuck away. She flattened them out and made sure there were no wrinkles, making it the easiest and most efficient way to dry without any heat or sunlight to help it. Vieira stood up straight and used her hands to wipe off her belly fur from the light wetness caused by the towels, pushing away the drops of rain she had acquired in the process.

She turned back to face the other, a bit of a smile on her face in order to be polite and she hesitated to speak. She was so used to waiting for someone to speak to her but the slave could tell the other was awkward and Vieira had to strive in order to lighten the mood. "Have you met Kaena?" she asked and wondered how much the other knew. Vieira did not know whether or not Kaena would broadcast the the fact she had a slave or not but there were many members of Inferni she had not met and the news ones she did did not seem to know what she was when it came to status and relation to the hybrid leader. Anselm definitely did not know. And when she met Rikka and Snake, Vieira had been new (had actually arrived that day) and they did not know, but she knew it was to be understandable.

After Kaena expressed her unhappiness with Rikka knowing the information, Vieira decided the woman did not tell everyone she ran into she had a slave. Gabriel had been unhappy as well and it was evident, as she pieced things together, that Kaena might be a little embarrassed over her. She did not know how to tell. Astaroth let anyone know about her (though he kept their real relation hidden from everyone but Sivaro. Even their direct family knew not of who she really was). She wondered if they would have been different if they would have known she was related to them. Their granddaughter or niece, depending on who looked at her. "Do... do you know a lot about the war?" she asked carefully, knowing she did not know ever much about the war going on but enough to know that it was bad enough to effect everyone, even herself who wanted nothing to do with violence and battle.

Vieira did not expect her owner to send her out to the border on her own any time soon. She had taken her a few days ago and did not leave her side for very long and she even had a weapon in her hands. The knife had felt odd in her grasp, the power of being able to inflict physical pain did not sit right with her. Vieira had never done anything to hrt anyone, had been forced to believe she had no such power to do it. If she was forced to hold the thing any time she left the cave, she wondered if that feeling would ever go away. If she had any choice, she would stay away from the border and find something else to help Kaena out but knew she could not object to an order her owner had for her.

Vieira had taken the used towels with a smile. She watched her take them away and placed them flat on the ground to let them dry. Meanwhile, she wondered how others could smile so easily; even if it may be forced. Was Haruhi so damaged that she couldn't even fake smile easily? Perhaps so, but she couldn't understand why. She was sure others had bad experiences in their past and yet they could at least smile a fake smile with no problem. Her golden stare continued to watch as she returned with the same smile upon her face. She seemed polite enough which was good. It was helping her to relax just a little. Her inquiry made her left hear twitch. "No, I have only heard of her." She said, shrugging her shoulder. She was fairly new and so she had only heard of her. All she knew was that she was one of the leaders of Inferni. Perhaps she should make time in meeting all the leaders. It was a smart thing to do, right?

It continued to rain; she could hear it behind her. The girl's voice caught her attention once more as she spoke of the war. "Mmm, I have heard. I was warned to be wary of the one named Haku." She didn't know of his appearance but if she would ever meet him and hear his name, she would be awfully careful and most definitely avoid him. Maybe she knew more of the war. "Um, what caused this war?" She asked, a bit curious even though it was absent on her face.

"Maybe you will meet her soon," she said idly though it was not a hint Vieira would convince Kaena to look for the new member of Inferni. Vieira would mention she was here, at least, and that she was nice, but she could not tell her owner what to do. She could not even make a suggestion unless Kaena was looking for some help on something but even then it would be too difficult for Vieira in order to wire her mind to do that sort of things. It was complicated and years of abuse would need to be unwound from her mind before she could do anything that resembled any sort of normality in the eyes of a regular coyote. "She... she is a good leader," she said with a flick of her tail and her smile became a little more genuine than it had before. Vieira liked her owner, far more than her former ones, but there were quirks that needed to be worked out on a daily basis.

Vieira stood back, still remaining stiff with the scabbed over wound on her back, and she nodded slightly when Haruhi explain her situation about the war. She then asked about the war, perhaps looking for more information, and her ears twitched on her head in thought. Vieira did not know much about the details of war, war was a difficult thing for her mind to comprehend, but nonetheless she knew enough that it was not great, that it was violent, and death was apart of it. "Haku attacked a leader of Inferni, Kaena," she said quietly and wondered how much the clan knew of the alleged attack. Vieira was sure not many knew what Haku had done. She imagined Gabriel knew, somehow, because he had called Inferni together to claim war on the pack she had not heard of. Her jaw tightened at the thought and shrugged it off mentally.

"I had been attacked a few weeks ago inside the clan," she said quietly, her eyes staring at the ground as she thought about, her mind reliving the situation. It made her shudder and her ear plastered against the back of her head. "So... you should be careful here, too," she said, a little suggestion to help her out. If she did not warn the other, and she managed to hurt herself by some strange crazy wolf on the border. Her lips twisted and she lifted her arms, crossing them over her chest and let her fingers dance on the muscles of her thin arms. She wondered why Haruhi had stuck around Inferni after the information about the war. Perhaps she was a warrior like some of the others, heavily trained like Snake, but she did not know and did not find it in herself to ask. Vieira, unfortunately, had not been given a choice when it came to this sort of thing. But then again, a war had not broken out before she got here but if it had, she knew she would have been forced to stay regardless and the slave never would have objected.

Yes, maybe she will meet her soon. So she nodded in agreement. She had thought it was a nice idea to do so; she needed to know her leaders after all. Apparently, she was a good leader. It made her feel somewhat calm about meeting her but she would always feel nervous and shy. She nodded once more as if to say she understood. Though, she did notice her smile was a little different than before. Her eyes focused on her lips to study it further. She must really like this Kaena. A hint of sadness attacked her heart and it only showed slightly in her eyes. She wished someone would smile like that for her. No one has ever done that except her dead friend. She wondered if she would ever find someone to smile for her; like they cared for her.

She blinked her eyes and looked Vieira in the face, ridding the hint of sadness. She hoped the other hadn't noticed. It wasn't a look that was meant for her to see. As the conversation went on about the war, Haruhi listened fully. So Haku attacked Kaena which started the war. Vieira was also attacked within Inferni. This frightened her a bit, now knowing that they still attack within Inferni. Her hand became a fist due to fear. Anger was not present in that action. "Y-yes, I will." She said, a little bit timid. "Thanks..." She added.

She didn't know why she joined even though she learned of the war. Something compelled her to join. Perhaps she was tired of being on her own and took this pack a sign to join. If a war was occurring, she would also rather be on the side of her own kind. She felt it better that way. So maybe she did know why she joined. It still remained complicated for herself though. "I'm...you, um...I'm glad that you made it through...that incident." She said, as the corner of her lips began to twitch upward. Death was something she never liked and she was glad it didn't happen to her.

It made Vieira feel better that the woman would take what she said to heart and be careful. Perhaps, this way, Vieira helped the other to avoid getting attacked (at least on Inferni turf). Vieira found she liked this girl. She was timid, shy, and very reserved. She was sort of like Vieira. Not in the way Snake, but definitely different. She was not able to put a finger on it and not knowing the past of the other (and vice verse) it would never be known. "Are... are you a fi-fighter?" she asked, her gaze moving to stare at the woman's belly. She doubted the other was much of a fighter, perhaps enough in self-defense, but she did not carry herself the same way Snake, Kaena, or Gabriel had. There was something about them that shown bright. They could take care of herself and Vieira could not but she wondered if this girl would at least be able to defend herself if a monster jumped her.

Kaena gave the girl a weapon whenever she had to go to the border now (which she did not like doing by herself anymore) but it was a foreign tool to her. It was like using chopsticks for the first time and being unable to hold the food between the sticks. She could hold it in her fist but she had no idea how to use it other than waving it around and pretending (and that only proved she was useless in combat). She might have been able to get a slice in by one lucky hit but enough to get someone off her was far from the basic idea. "Thank you," she murmured and nodded her head. "I am too," she added and her smile faded as she recollected the entire ordeal one more time. Astaroth picked at her head again and she frowned, twisting her body uncomfortable and finding her wound was still sore.

"You could talk to Gabriel," she started to suggested. "He would have the most information about the war... and if you wanted to help," she said, trying to give the other an idea if she was looking for it. She did not know if she was trying to find ways to help Inferni. Vieira had with Snake a few weeks ago, before her attack, in getting a fence up. She wondered how the progress was going now that he was at it alone. Or perhaps he had found someone to help. Either way, she had helped as much as she could and it gave her a little break from the tedious work inside the cave. Now, however, after the attack, Vieira did not want to go far from the cave. If she visited another cave, it would be all right, or perhaps to the shores nearby, by to the borders she felt the need for her owner to stand beside her and walk her through like a child learning how to ride a bike for the first time.

Haruhi worried about this war. She didn't believe she would be much of a help. She had never fought serious fights before. In fact, she only had small training for her parents focused mostly on her brother. He was "perfect" after all. The more they realized her body wasn't going to grow, the less they paid attention to her. She lacked fighting skill, so how was she going to help this pack? Would they throw her away once they learn of this? Worry began to occupy her heart. She doesn't know if she could handle being thrown away again. If she were to be cast out, who knew what she would do? She'd probably sink further into depression. She might not even interact with anyone again. She only hoped that never happens. Vieira's voice broke her out of her own thought. Once again, she made no eye contact. It wouldn't matter at this point due to Haruhi's now averted eyes. She looked to the side, ashamed of the answer she was about to give. She also feared the outcome as well. "I, uh, n-no." She brought her hands together to hold them in front of her. One hand overlapped the other as she rubbed the one under the other with her thumb. She also flicked her tail softly. She might not even be good at defending herself. She could probably hold her ground a little against small opponents, but not someone who was a well experienced fighter. With her small stature, she could be easily out-powered.

She watched as the girl thanked her. She simply nodded to her but soon forgot she doesn't make eye contact. In fact, she didn't look near her face. So, she decided to be verbal. "You're welcome," she said in a soft voice. She noticed her smile had shrunk and she wondered if it was because she was remembering the incident. She soon didn't focus on the thought for her ears picked up Vieira's voice once more. She spoke of Gabriel, another name she had heard of. This meant that he was another leader. "Ah, uh, Okay." If she became more curious of the war, she may go to him for answers.

Being with Vieira, she was actually beginning to like her. She couldn't exactly understand, but something about her made her welcome her presence. Perhaps she reminded her a little bit of herself. She seemed shy like her but she can still smile so easily, while it took Haruhi more effort to do so. She finally released her hand and let them fall at her side. She began to draw circles in her thigh, though. Biting her lip, she fought for something to say. Her right ear twitched as she heard the rain becoming slightly harder. "Um, does it...rain a lot here?" She asked, with a frown. She really didn't like the rain.
