i are a slow face, but you know that already! 368 words

One month, exactly. King had grown a lot, and if his paws were awkwardly sized for his body, he was certainly using them a lot to get around. Bouncing out of the den in front of his mother, he dove and tackled an errant bit of seaweed that had somehow made it's way up to their part of the beach. He gnawed at it furiously for a minute or two before losing interest completely when it did not taste delicious at all. After hopping back to Mommy's side, he pressed into his soft fur and whined: "Want plaaay." After his ears had perked up and he'd been able to actually understand the sweet nothings his mother whispered at him, the first word that King had latched on to was "Mine." "Want," of course, came shortly after.

Luckily for him, it was early enough in the day that Tokyo actually had enough energy to indulge him. She'd spent a lot of time around the den in her lupine form. It was just simpler to deal with than to have to worry about clothes and hair.. Once King was older she'd surely slip back into her old type of lifestyle, but for now, especially with the constant need to hunt to feed herself enough to feed the both of them it was just easier to stick in this form. His eyes were still stuck at electric blue, and she had no reason to believe they'd change to anything else.

Laughing, she splashed a bit of sand at her son and he retaliated with as much force as he could muster, pouncing on her tail and trying to tear it apart with his puppy-sharp teeth. Knocking him off with a careless swat, he bounced right back to her ankle. As much as she enjoyed this on occasion, she really needed to acquaint him with some of the other little ones in the pack. Tokyo just didn't have the energy for this stuff as much as King wanted it, and she really didn't have the heart to say no to him on anything that he wanted.

It had not been his intention to wander this close to the Chance woman’s home, but now when he was here he saw no reason not to check out the development to the only surviving child in Tokyo’s litter. He sometimes thought of the foolish name that the woman had given the child and wondered if there existed a disguised challenge behind it. Was this a foolish test? Little King was merely mortal – this had been plain to see when his father had eaten his dead and dying siblings. Unlike his brothers and sisters he had been strong and large and blue eyes saw that the child only grew stronger each time he saw the small form. He stood and watched mother and son for a little while before he decided to head down to the couple. When the active child’s eyes turned to the approaching Rosen, it struck Haku that he had not realized that the child had inherited his unique blue eye colour. He found that he disliked that fact despite that it meant nothing.

Haku’s main attention rose to the mother and he dipped his head in quiet greeting. ”Tokyo” He even made enough effort into granting her a small smile, though it was gone before it ever managed to settle on his scarred face. ”How are you and how is our son doing?” As usual there were no appearances of his actual indifference in his voice, no, only kindness was allowed in her presence. Tokyo needed to be dealt with differently because of her big mouth. He would simply have to try to keep her somewhat.. content.

reee-dated to likeee, Feb 11 or so? 354 words

King didn't recognize the stranger, so he bristled a little at the familiar tone that the large male used to address his mother. The rest of the words spoken, though, caught him a bit off guard. Our son. His blue eyes swung accusingly towards his mother, seeking some sort of confirmation or denial. Seeing his puzzled expression, Tokyo gave a brief nod. "We're doing splendidly. He's growing up fast, growing larger every day. Sound of mind and body, already starting to speak up a storm. And yes, King, this is your father. Remember, I told you about him? Haku Soul, he is the most powerful wolf in this pack." King decided that he liked the sound of that, and wandered closer to the adult male, absolutely and utterly fearless.

"How did you get so big?" He queried simply, choosing to ask that question because he wasn't sure on the word to describe all the weird pink scars tracing the form of the other male. And Haku was big compared to his mother, who was below the average size of a wolf. He hadn't actually met many other members of his pack yet, at least not since his eyes had been open to observe them. There had been the one scuffle with Firefly that he had witnessed, but he had been cranky then and spent most of that encounter buried in the bag that Tokyo used to tote him around.

Tokyo was glad to see Haku, and the smile on her face showed it. She was flattered that he seemed to be taking an interest in their son. Of course, on a scale relative to the general population he was rather neglectful. King was one month and a week old, and this was only the second time Haku had dropped by to see him. But.. compared to Raphael, who never once was there for her children (of course, it was Tokyo who had driven him away..) and Champ, who had similarly abandoned her.. Well, to Tokyo, Haku seemed a shining example of good fathering.

Sure! 300+

Haku had his own reasons for taking the time to interact with the female and her child. First of all she was a member of his pack and it was somewhat necessary to keep her content. While she was useless in most ways, he appreciated her selfishness and believed that she had some potential, though very limited, of course. This boy would not turn soft and as worthless as his brothers. There was a light trace of hunger in the large secui’s eyes as he stared at the child when it asked him something stupid. His voice was not softened for the child as he bluntly spoke what he saw as truth, but that Tokyo probably would think was his form for joking. ”I eat bad wolves.” It was quite simple, although bad was in his view the worthless scum that so heavily populated the earth. Darkness was appreciated and adored, and he hoped to turn this healthy young male into something dark and terrible.

His eyes rose to Tokyo now, replaying the words she had spoken before the foolish child had broken through with its question. ”I’m glad to hear.” the male answered politely, though not taking the time to draw up a fake smile upon his features. He was content though with what she had said, and so his gaze returned to the small form with the blue eyes. He had not seen the child after the birth day, so it was obvious that the young soul had grown. Exactly how large he was for his age, Haku knew nothing of, but decided to believe in the woman’s words. It mattered little if he turned out to be a runt, as Haku had a good candidate in mind to produce worthy hell hounds with. Two, in fact. His tainted blood would spread and never die. He was immortal.
