Just like magic (P)

Amaranth had escaped from home. She had gotten really good at going out and looking around. This place her mother had brought her two many times. It was close to home and was full of places to play. Winter was still going on and her mother didn't want her far from home but she didn't care. She was alone and hoped that there was someone to play with out here. Maybe Elroy and Firefly were out here? She doubted that but she wanted to play.

She looked up at the bright sun. It was the first day in a while that it was actually sunny out. She was glad that it was slightly warmer then it had been in prior days. Looking around she stuck her nose to the ground trying to find something to eat. She could practice her amazing hunting skills. She was a killing machine taking out 1 out of 40 mice that she had ever tried hunting. Her mother was slowly teaching them things and their father too.

Bright purple eyes focused on the snow white earth and she saw a mouse. She was going to get it no doubt about it. Focused on the little thing that had yet to see her she took a step as the mouse started to dart away. Growling she went after it leaping into the air. She felt good she knew she was going to get it. Coming down to the earth she contacted the ground to her front paws as her hind legs went up and over her head causing her to tumble.Landing upside down in the snow she sighed. "Make that 1 out of 41."

For a day that was full of sunshine, there was absolutely no way that the Ayastigi would miss this opportunity to be out and about on this lovely, lovely day. Even though the temperature was still very much cold (even though it did rise by a couple few degrees), and the sun did very little to warm the earth, the prospect of seeing the world in a sunny light was enough to fill the spirits and call for a pleasant day to explore. Even her steed, Aidan, was feeling particularly giddy on this day and antsy to escape the borders of AniWaya to get out into the rest of the wilderness to traverse and explore.

Squinting against the brightness of the sun, the Amara female had her trusty bow and her quiver of arrows strapped to her back, as she rode upon the back of Aidan at quite a stealthy speed. Aidan didn’t particularly like traversing through deeper portions of snow, but seemingly there had been a path worn down and cleared to where it was a little more manageable to run upon. Ice and fine powder kicked up behind his hooves as the pair rode on to an unmarked destination. There had not been any particular places in mind to where they wanted to venture, but figured that wanderlust alone and the sense of mystery would provide some form of entertainment and interest down the road sooner or later.

The young warrior and her equine had suddenly come upon a russet, crimson hued figured within the blanket of snow that decorated the earth. The pair had nearly whipped right by the figure, if it wasn’t for Asha merely glancing sideways to spot a figure in her peripheral vision. Her heel had given a quick tap of Aidan’s side, to which he neighed and slowed down to a bouncy trot, nearly jutting out a leg and slipping on the slick ground. There was another whinny of protest, as if he had been asking why they had stopped their running expenditure. Tilting her head sideways, Asha observed the fallen figure in the snow for a second, wondering if they had been wounded or simply felt comfortable in their place. " “Are you alright there, or just finding comfort in that position you’re in?” Her voice had that slight amused hitch, but she was overall curious to know if that position the female was in was of any comfort whatsoever.

Amaranth thought she was alone out here. She had been practicing her hunting and intended to continue once she got up. Laying there looking at the sky she heard hoves. She knew what a horse was Vigilante had one and she could hear the sound the hoves made in the snow. Looking up as she saw legs and then a girl atop the horse she smiled. "No I well fell." She said.

Rolling over and standing up she shook off as she looked at her. The girl looked odd, she didn't know wolves could even ride horses. She had never seen vigi due it or anyone else but that didn't matter. "Sorry I interrupted or whatever." She said smiling. She had yet to introduce herself yet she was also watching the other. She had learned not to jump to conclusions.

"I'm Amaranth." She said. "Who are you?" She was trying to be friendly but she still didn't want to be as open as she had been with that bad man.
