He made her wonder, made her want to know more then just the surface. No one had set a confusion within her as he did, no one made her guess herself as he just had. And he wasn't even trying. Her gaze fell softly away from his face as he agreed and she took in the smile of his mouth. Anu trusted that he would make it right, trusted that he would finish all that had begun so long ago. The history was far deeper then she would ever understand, let alone know. But she felt that he would end all the suffering, destroy the shadow that lingered over these lands. Be her hero.
He questioned her, and she turned her head to face him "I have all night." She spoke, a bit more playful then the stoic of uneasy voice she had given before. Her tail waved, and she felt her paws grow light and her gait hastened slightly. She bumped his shoulder, not worrying about the roughness of it (though with her small form it was likely nothing more then a nudge) and then lead him through the darkness and into the world that she lived in and loved. She would be proud to show him all that she protected, show him the places that he could visit any time he wished.
