For Enyo! 300+ words.

The light was fading fast, and though he was not fond of leaving his mate and her two children alone for too long, Vigilante had decided to stay where he was for just a little while longer. He was not far from the pack's territory, anyway, only just a little ways away from Pirata Grotto. Though he was outside by a bit, the Constable was still keeping himself alert for any sign of anything out of the ordinary. He had not seen the King since their pack meeting, and though he did not find this strange (he was not close to Jacquez at all, and hardly saw him before the war's descent, either), he did not want to risk being too far away from the pack. His concern was not for himself, but for those that he had sworn to protect. Of course, he was not the only one protecting those living in Cour des Miracles. The pack was generally made up of those that could handle themselves. He truly just worried too much, he suspected, not a bad thing.

Staring at the crashing waves just feet in front of him, Vigilante inhaled deeply, enjoying the sharp, bitter cold air with the tangy, salted scent of the sea water. As was usual for him lately, he was sitting in his two-legged form, his legs stretched and crossed in front of him. It seemed strange to think about how rare it had been for anyone but him to use their wolf form back in his birth pack, but he distinctly remembered finding it fascinating that so many chose to walk on two legs here. The Constable used both, as well as the halfway form, frequently, and he did not know if he really had a preferred form. Most likely, he used whatever form seemed to fit what he wanted to do that day. During his patrols, he usually used one of his four-legged forms, but when he was taking time for himself or when he was with Ayita, he frequently used his shifted one.

QUIETUS Final acquittance, as from debt; also, rest; death.

A bit vague since Nothing's happened in her arrival thread. Smile Thank you for starting. 400 words even.

She had traveled south from the bay, skirting pack lands like an expert would. It was easy for her to avoid pack, because she wanted no conflict at the current moment. Though trained to fight, she was not in the mood for one, nor did she want to stir trouble up around here just yet. She would settle first, and then maybe spice a few things up. But only once she had another companion who would assist her, and have her back. Enyo was not mentally challenged; to cause trouble with a pack did not mean just a member or two coming down on you, but all of them. She knew this because that was what her parents had done. And they had been given their quietus with teeth and sharp claws, as had her brother (he was in the litter before hers) who had assisted them. The fools... If they had listened to her, they would not have been caught. But no, she had been too young to know what she was talking about. Enyo snorted then, shaking her head.

She was in her Secui form now, moving quickly across the lands. Her large paws gave her good footing and traction so that she never slipped or fell into the dirt. Even in this hulking form, she moved with a sort of ethereal grace. While she was large, she was still excellently proportioned. This was thanks to being the descendant of pure wolves, and not being a hybrid of any sort. She may not have been as fast as say, a coyote or something like that, but she had power behind her form, as well as the knowledge to contain and control her muscle power correctly.

She paused now, sniffing at the wind. The smell of the sea was pungent and instantly recognizable. Mixed within it however, was the smell of another being. He was a pack member, judging by the heady scent that hung on him. But she would not steer away from him, because he was alone. Shifting into her Optime form, it was a few minutes before Enyo approached him, stepping lightly on the ground. Her nose worked as she sniffed the wind a bit more, examining. After a few seconds of that, she spoke with a voice of velvet, something she had inherited from her mother. Greetings… She said, her red eyes watching him intently.

500+ words.

Soon, he would return to his house in the city within Cour des Miracles' territory, but he was finding the ocean nice to be near. It reminded him of the time that he had met that very rude and awkward wolf, Seven, who accused him of lying about never having seen the ocean before. Prior to that meeting, however, it had been the truth. The pack he had born into had been located far away from the ocean on all sides, and he had not been particularly close to the water during his travels to this area, either. Though it had been a long journey and there were points he had glimpsed the water, never had he actually looked at it for what it was. Any sightings were passed off as being lakes or ponds, instead of this large, raging body of water that crashed into the sand before him. Even after joining his pack, he had not ventured close to the water. Now, as he studied the pale, foamy water, the mutt could not imagine why this had been the case for so long.

The moment he was no longer alone on this portion of the coast, the Constable was aware of the presence of the other. Fortunately for him, he had been raised to have accute awareness of everyone and everything around him, and it was incredibly rare that someone or something could catch him unawares. Vigilante had also, however, been taught the art of patience and delicacy, so he did not shift his weight or move in any way, keeping his eyes on the ocean and his ears turned ever so slightly to listen to whomever was on the sandy coast with him. It was very rare that he would act rashly, and though some found his apparent indifference a bad thing, it was simply the way that the doggish man operated. Without giving away emotions, he was able to keep his secrets without any chance that the other might find them out. Not a single being in this area, with the sole exception of his niece, knew anything about him that he did not expressly decide to tell them. He was, admittedly, secrative.

Just as most did, this woman approached him finally. For various reasons, some chose not to approach him. In his past, no one would approach him that knew of his infamy. The Elders and his parents had kept it a secret, but some of his victims knew that he would be coming for them. The corrupt, he mentally corrected himself. He had never had victims; it had been necessary to do what he did. Here, some were far from social and chose not to talk to others they see, whereas some chose not to approach those that were in a leadership position. He did not understand it, but he accepted it. "Hello," he said, lifting his eyes to study her. She did not appear to be a threat, something that immediately crossed his mind, considering they were very close to the pack's borders. It was very rare for him to find a female larger than him, but it seemed that she might have a few inches on him.
