Can we fix it? Yes we can!

OOC: Omg...I'm a dork. Please excuse the random Bob The Builder Reference. XD Thread is backdated to September 27th after the hurricane.

IC: Having volunteered to assist in the fixing of the stables after the hurricane, Kenna teamed up with her pack mate called Honrin. The two of them were to set to work clearing away the damaged debris of the structure and then rebuild or completely replace what was destroyed. They were also in charge of keeping any animals that had escaped during the storm penned up as the other d'Artisans went about returning them to their designated enclosures. It was mainly the chickens and sheep who had gotten free and were now scattered about Thornbury, but with the pack working together, all the animals would eventually be back safe and sound in their homes.

Breaking away from the repair group, Kenna headed inside the stables. Carrying the single hen she had caught when among her pack mates, the collie woman followed her earlier suggestion and placed the wandering chicken into an empty horse stall which would contain it until the coop could be fixed up. The high walls of the stall would prevent the poultry from flapping up and hopping over the side in escape. Then pacing over to the storage shed, Kenna scooped up a handful of chicken feed to keep the bird occupied and dissuade it from wandering again. She sprinkled the food into the stall before turning back to assessed the damage of the building from within. As could be seen from outside, one wall of the building had a fair sized hole in it, more than likely from flying refuse picked up in the ferocious winds of the hurricane. Upon further observation Kenna determined the chicken coop had been all but flattened, some of the fencing around the goat and sheep pen needed to be righted and pounded back into place and the horse corral needed some attention too. Thankfully the occupied stalls in the stables seemed to have suffered no damage and the horses appeared nervous but otherwise alright. As she did a silent headcount of the equines, Kenna's heart twisted with worry as she thought of her own stallion Dust. She had turned him loose just as the storm hit and she hadn't seen where he'd gone off to to find shelter. She hoped he was alright. She'd have to go out and look for him a little later though, she needed to focus on repairing the stables now.

Sighing and removing her hat and placing it on a barrel of animal feed the cowgirl looked to Honrin. "So where d'you suppose we get started? I was thinking we should get the coop, corral and pens all fixed up first so that the animals can be properly contained again." She suggested and looked around her once more. Kenna didn't know much about the male which she was assigned to, but she had seen him in passing a couple times in the stables. It seemed that as they worked Kenna would have the chance to get to know her fellow horse enthusiast. After all, she had been far too antisocial in her first months of being a part of Cercatori d'Arte, it would be a great opportunity to remedy that now. "If we fix the corral first we can set all the horses free out there while we work so we don't spook any of them..." She added as an afterthought before falling silent, her blue gaze focused expectantly on Honrin, wondering what he thought of her plan.
