Spotlights for July 2010

Spotlight Soul

Ghita Marino of Crimson Dreams has been awarded July's Spotlight Soul. Since the fall of Old Red and breaking her leg, Ghita has been recovering slowly and realistically, taking her time and finding creative ways to adjust to her new handicap. She has been learning to draw, reconnecting with her niece, meeting new pack members, and even saving others from a window monster! While other characters may become stagnant from needing to stay in one place while recovering, Ghita has managed to keep herself and others entertained... not to mention that co-rank she's earned while she's at!

Community Soul

Sie has been awarded July's Community Soul. While she is already pretty ridiculous on a regular basis, the sheer volume of work she has contributed to 'Souls in the past month has been phenominal. In addition to cobbling together a vast majority of the Species guide by herself, she also dug up most of the information for the in-depth Puppies guide, and has been working tirelessly on several more guides that will likely debut soon. Sie has also spent a lot of time talking to newcomers to the board, easing them into the game environment, and making gift avatars and table sets to further welcome them to 'Souls, not to mention keeping up with her characters and general mod duties around the board. How she manages all this despite not getting home from work until past midnight every night, we may never know.

Spotlights for August 2010

Spotlight Soul

Element the cat has been awarded August's Spotlight Soul and is the first Creature to receive the honor! Since arriving in late June, this feline has made his way around ‘Souls and offered unique experiences for canines not used to finding intelligence and sophistication in other species. As a cat, Element may be unable to participate in packs, but this hasn't stopped him from trying to learn more about them while searching and grieving for his dead comrade, Flower. In many ways, Element has proved that it's still possible to survive as a cat in a world dominated by canines.

Community Soul

Fy'Ra has been awarded August's Community Soul. As a newer member to the board, Fy'Ra has really taken it upon herself to dive into the community head-first. Very outgoing and fun to talk to OOCly, she's tried her hand at making people tables in addition to pumping out very long and thoughtful posts on a regular basis and working towards being even more active through Dahlia da Mai's pack game.

Spotlight Soul

Liliana Vess has been awarded September's Spotlight Soul. As a highly active member of AniWaya, Liliana has been involved in a variety of pack activities while taking steps towards her chosen tribe profession. Sincere and curious, she does not limit herself to interactions only with fellow pack members and has made friends in many places, including nearby Phoenix Valley.

Spotlights for October 2010

Spotlight Soul

Izaak has been poking around a lot in recent months, stalking old women and speaking broken English!

Community Soul

"Kemo is super new, but I honestly kinda feel like he's the perfect newbie. He has involved his primary character in quite a few plots, and he jumped right into plans to make his second character, who is a relative of another member's character. In general he just seems extremely enthusiastic about 'Souls and the community, and he seems to have thrown himself into the mix without any hesitation. I also really, really like that he has approached newer members of his own volition and has made attempts to involve them with the community, as well. He's also all over the Thread Requests thread, engaging people in their requests and posting requests of his own. If every new person was more like Kemo, we'd have a ridiculously awesome member base. Not that we don't already, but, y'know. XD" -- A Staff Member

Spotlights for November 2010

Spotlight Soul

Saul Stormbringer (Honey) has been making quite an effort in Dahlia de Mai, keeping extremely high post counts, especially considering Saul isn't even an adult yet! Some of the leaders had some things to say about all the hard work Saul has been doing lately: "Just looking through their post log shows Saul has already started to learn how to hunt with Conor, fight with Saluce, make jewelry with Bris, and still has time to meet other characters outside of the pack!" "Honey is really working hard to get Saul involved in plots and other things...and I think he's a great example of a spotlight! Big Grin" Keep up the great work, Saul!

Community Soul

Noelle (Malachi, Bangle Guffawri) has really been engaging the community as of late! She's often giving away gifts over in the Talents forum or welcoming newcomers in the OOC Garbage and working to make 'Souls a better community -- her Table Studio is booming over in the Requests forum, producing many pretty tables for people. Noelle is extremely friendly and quite nice to everyone she encounters on the board -- a perfect example of Community Soul!

Spotlight Soul

Orin Takekuro (Nuki) has been ridiculously active in Cercatori D'Arte. She has “made a new celebration thread, and has been much more active as of late, and is working towards her co rank ... she's been one of [Cercatori's] more actives this month in the pack” despite working against recent health troubles. She has been providing an interesting environment for her packmates to roleplay in -- Orin “took up a shop in Thornbury, and has been active with all the members of the pack as well as creating fun threads to read.” Way to go, Nuki!

Community Soul

Honey (Saul Stormbringer of DdM; Theodore Stone of AT) received Spotlight Soul last month, and she hasn't slowed down a bit since the nomination! She has maintained ridiculous activity with both Saul and Theodore, and “and she's all over thread requests for her characters, as well as starting a game for Dahlia.” In addition to that, “Honey has, for a while now, contributed a lot oocly with ideas and activities for Dahlia de Mai, and she also volunteers to help [the leadership] do things as well as offering to do the work on her own to spare [the leadership] the trouble.” Awesome job, Honey!

Spotlight Soul

Sky Katruk (Sky) been majorly plotting a lot on her character and has been open and receptive to new plots, not to mention... she's nearly made 100 posts in total this month alone! Her writing style is very engaging, and according to her leaders, she helps to make Cercatori D'Arte a wonderful place to roleplay. She is actively working toward a co-rank in the pack and engages her fellow pack-members with interesting threads and plots. Great job, Sky!

Community Soul

Shadow (Itzal, Inferni and Vaughan Katruk, Loners) has only been a member at 'Souls since January 5th, but he's already made nearly 100 posts! Not only that, but he's on in the 'Soulschat on a daily basis, hanging out with members and making friends of everyone. Not only that, but he is consistently active in the Thread Requests forum and has posted a ton of All Welcome threads for his fellow roleplayers. Shadow has shown substantial improvement in post length since he first joined, as well -- he's already quite a valuable asset to the community. Keep up the good work!

Spotlights for February 2011

Spotlight Soul

Jace Wolfe (Jace of Phoenix Valley) has been a member of 'Souls since fall of last year, but it's only recently as she has joined up with Phoenix Valley that she's really gotten into the community! She seemed to struggle for a while as a Loner, but now that she's integrated with a pack and has several friends and thread partners, she's started to get really involved! It's a wonderful change of pace from the first few months she was a member -- Jace, we're glad to have you!

Community Soul

Kiki (Talitha Lykoi of Inferni and Krystalle Horzana of Cercatori d'Arte) has also been a member of 'Souls for some time, but it's only recently as she's picked up Talitha of Inferni and Krystalle of Cercatori d'Arte that she's really started to post prolifically. She's constantly in the chat, thinking up new and shiny ideas, as well as participate in interesting 'Souls-related discussions. Not only that, Kiki is also seen posting in the OOC areas to welcome new members! Kiki, you rock!

Spotlights for March 2011

Spotlight Soul

Selene D'Angelo (Sylvey) of Anathema is a long-time member of 'Souls, and she's extremely active within her pack -- not only does she pick up joining threads, she helps her leaders with their plans, plots, and in general. She works hard in her rank and makes an effort to make herself available to other players for plots. Keep up the awesome, Sylvey!

Community Soul

Sunny (Skye Collins of Cercatori d'Arte, Element of the Creatures, and Fia Knight-Marino of Crimson Dreams) hasn't been a member of 'Souls for an extremely long time, but in the time she's been with us, she has done really awesome things, including co-founding Cercatori d'Arte, which has been a great success thus far. Sunny always makes herself available to help out in any area she can -- not only has she recently volunteered to assist on the Mentorship program, she's always willing to lend a hand or a kind ear! You rock, Sunny!

Spotlight Soul

Alae Sidhe (Shae) of Ichika no Ho-en has been extremely active since first joining 'Souls -- her post counts are quite pleasing to her leadership each month, and she provides interesting and fun plots for her character, Alae, who has some spirituality training rather unique to the 'Souls universe. She has been consistently engaging former Dahlia de Mai packmembers with plots and fun threads, and is likely to continue to do so within Ichika no Ho-en!

Spotlight Soul

Evelyn Wood (Kite) of Cercatori d'Arte has been extremely active in July, participating many fun threads and plots (building the caravan, helping her packmates paint and build, helping a packmate out of a tree when he was stuck) and Kite's always up for a thread with her. Spotlight Soul

Vesper (Raze) of the Loners is a posting machine! Although still somewhat new to 'Souls, Raze has extended her character out to others openly. Her character Vesper is also a fun and realistic character and her posts are a joy to read. She is involved in many plots, which is much harder to do as a Loner, and so Raze is pretty rare in having a Loner character nominated to Spotlight Soul, let alone winning it! Congrats, Raze, and keep up the good work!

Community Soul

Jace (Jace) has been a consistently active member of 'Souls for about a year now -- she plays various characters and makes an effort to put herself out there to plot with others with each of them! Specifically, her leadership in Anathema wished to commend her on excellent member-to-leader communication: recently, Jace and some packmates came up with a plot in the pack, and was not only very forward and communicative with her leadership, she was very receptive to concerns about its realism and came up with something to satisfy all involved parties! She is exemplary in this manner, and all members should also strive to emulate her friendly demeanor. Jace is awesome and we're lucky to have such a member!

Community Soul

Cait (Tawny) has proven time and time again she's an all-around star and awesome in general. Since she joined 'Souls, Cait has proven to be an active, outgoing and friendly member in a variety of ways. Aside from being vocal on the forums and hanging out in the chat like a cool bro LIKE A BOSS, Cait has also helped out with 'Souls newest pack, offering assistance and helping with ideas. Spotlight Soul

One does not simply... win Spotlight Soul, unless one can fool armoured polar bears and own a daemon pet rat. So, congratulations to Frodo Silvertongue for winning Spotlight Soul of January! After returning to Aniwaya, Frodo has kept himself quite busy! He’s a helpful and kind individual commonly found spending time with and assisting new and old acquaintances, whether it be drinking a cup of tea or hunting. And after a little beating from Inferni, he has also started to develop his fighting skills. Frodo has proven himself a ridiculously active character since re-joining, and involves himself at every opportunity, both in the pack and otherwise. A worthy carrier of the ring, indeed.
