[MaMa] Light Trip
#1
There hadn't been much to pack up. Terra was a light traveler, usually trotting along in lupine form without a care to what was beyond it. Going with her mate was a very different experience though. This time she brought along her daggers, carefully secured to her waist. It felt a touch odd, but no more than the pack of meat in case they got hungry. It was a lot more safe to be carrying that than to be stealing from whoever she came across to eat.

Walking across the plains Terra hummed happily, taking in the bright colors around them. Summer was a good time for travel. She didn't have to worry about finding shelter, or digging through things, and there weren't any grumpy bears that would willingly kill her to avoid tripping over. Well, there might be some. Just not as many as there were in spring and summer. Fall she had trouble with them as well, but even then it wasn't as much as those other two. Glancing over to her mate Terra smiled happily. A perfect day to head out.

The sun shone down on them brightly from its place high in the sky. The temperature was just right and a welcomed breeze blew gently against them. His arms rested with his hands clasped behind his head. They walked leisurely together at each other’s side. Right she had been, it was the perfect day to get out, and a trip away from the court they embarked on. It was nice to be like this, he enjoyed whatever time he got with her. He flashed her a grin, gazing at her with red orbs. It was hard for him to believe that it had been nearly a year since his mother’s death. Yet here he was living his life and having a good time.

The Catori wondered how it was that he’d lived his life without her. Till that one day made an undeniable connection he hadn’t so much as noticed her, she was just another face. Now the two shared a fire that couldn’t be put out. It was impossible for him to not smile when he got to wake to her. When he was down and upset, she knew just knew how to cheer him up. Terra was the light in his darkness when he couldn’t see. He took a deep breath and let it out. This is nice. Shifting his step he gently and purposefully bumped into her licking her cheek.

Her grin grew brighter under his gaze, tail wagging wildly. Occasionally she caught glimpses of Ayita in him, though those moments were rare. She hadn't suffered as the family had, though she had done her best to be there. Kable had noticed her then, living when the rest moved as if death had settled around them. Terra hadn't taken much notice at first, involved as she was with her tricks and games, but the soft call of his music had quickly brought her to his side, rapt attention held just for him.

Bumped Terra yipped out, leaning back to lick at his cheek, almost tip toeing up. Darting forwards she spun back to face him. The entire world is ours for the taking. Wildly she danced around, just taking in everything that was there. Terra really did believe that they could conquer the world together. Not that she had the slightest interest in doing such a thing. It just meant that it was that much more difficult to get her to stop taking what she wanted. Heading back to his side Terra nuzzled in, breathing his familiar scent. Will you travel it with me?

Most days he felt like they could anything together. Watching her dance around, he let out a deep hearted laugh. She could be such a tease sometimes, and he loved that about her. When she moved in close to ask her question he smiled. It was a silly question. Locking sights with her, he moved to tickle her chin with a single finger. Over and over again love.

He wasn’t sure exactly where they were going. Maybe that’s made this trip so exciting, not having a destination or any constraints to go by. It really didn’t matter to him where they went, so long as he had her. He stopped periodically to gather some burnable materials. Kable himself liked certain games and tricks. In his pack were lighters and flammables that he could use to show her a trick of his own. One that he was saving, he hoped she’d like it. Adjusting himself he moved wrap his arm around her and put his hand on her hip.

Where to then? I’m thinking you, me and a beach somewhere. The husky male asked with a mischievous gleam in his eyes. He imagined a place where no one would find them. Somewhere they could camp out under the stars when the sun would go down. Maybe they could find a deserted beach along a coast. An afternoon building castles in the sand and playing in the water. A night with her by the fire light, with her wrapped in his arms. Could it get any better than that?

OOC: sorry! will try harder

Asked where to Terra tilted her head. She never really thought about that stuff, mostly just wandering where her nose and her stomach dictated. Sometimes they went in opposite directions, and it was only then that she bothered actually thinking on it. The invitation to the beach was attractive at least. Being at one with Kable would definitely be special. Nodding her head Terra snuggled into him again, just happy to be in his warmth and ready to take everything. If they never returned to the pack Terra wouldn't mind.

Nodding her head Terra changed their direction. A quick short cut and they would be on a private beach. The entrance was difficult to get to, surrounded as it was by a sharp cliff. It was almost completely cut off from view from other angles. She lead the way, slipping down the edge before turning to face him, eyes sparkling. What do you think? The sun wasn't setting, still high in the sky, but it would set the place aglow when it finally fell.

Not you Bria, I posted in the wrong account the first time around.

He smiled as she nuzzled into him, his eyes filled with excitement and passion, just for her. Their difference in size was rather apparent, to the point where it was cute. Kable towered over her by two feet and weighed anywhere between 260 and 280 pounds. If he wanted to he could easily pick her up and cradle her close, like he wanted to half the time.

His green eyed lover altered their course, leading them a very steep rock cliff with beach below. She quickly slid down its face and eagerly awaited him. It’s amazing. He averted his from her to the rocky terrain. …This cliff however, not so much. He muttered under his breath letting out a nervous chuckle. Wanting to get to her his tail wagged anxiously, but he could just jump down. Gravity was going to do its job one way or another. Gripping the surface of the steep drop he slid down. He fell off near the bottom and crashed into the sand. The Catori got up and gave his body a violent shake getting out much of the sand.

He looked around them with a dropped jaw. It looked even better from down here. No one would bother them unless they’d take the same treacherous entrance to the secluded area. Taking in the scenery his jaw dropped, it was better than what he originally imagined. With Terra it was perfect. This is wonderful. He spoke putting his bag down on the ground.

OOC: ah, thought I'd spoiled the romance XD

Chuckling at his words Terra turned around, looking over the ocean instead. The difficulty of the cliff hadn't fazed her, used to running around and causing such problems without thinking too deeply on it. For her it wasn't anymore dangerous than the other things that she would run against. It was a good thing that Kable had all the strength that he did, or she could get injured waiting for him to catch her. She trusted him completely to be there if she ever slipped.

The sound of him crashing into the ground alerted Terra to his arrival. Still laughing she turned back, tail wagging as he stared around, starstruck. I thought you might like it. It's not really dangerous, just difficult to reach. She'd spent a lot of time watching the ocean, delighted to discover that the tide didn't swallow up the beach. It just remained as it was, if a touch smaller than before. Now she could share it with him, another secret drawn from her just for him.

Kable kicked up sand as he raced past his lovely trickster and toward the ocean’s blue. Rushing into the waves he leapt into the surf. Wahooo! He laid there floating in the water, his body relaxed, limp and almost lifeless. The feeling of being engulfed by the water was amazing and welcomed. The Catori blew water out of his mouth like a fountain before standing. The coal colored man shot his lover an excited playful look, as he wished her to join him.

The water’s fine and I won’t bite! Not hard anyway. He wore a broad grin upon his lips; he happily teased her, pushing the soaked hair away from his face to see her better. Kable could feel his heart pound away inside his chest. He watched her where stood, her figure dainty, her eyes were bright and her hair seemed to glow an even more vibrant shade of red than it was. The very sight of his lover was picture perfect. He knew she was attractive, but from time to time he forgot just how beautiful she could really be. Pulling a sopping wet arm out of the water he beckoned for her with a taunt of his finger. Giving her a look no other woman would see.

Kable raced past her, Terra whipping around to watch him hit the water. Laughing she watched him crash into the salty mixture, waves hitting his legs. It looked like a lot of fun. Staring from where she was Terra relaxed, the sun glinting against everything. He floated along on the surface, looking rather ridiculous really. Grinning Terra wagged her tail, slowly making her way down. She wasn't as large a fan of the water. It was just so big, and always threatened to swallow her up.

The look in his eyes was too much to resist, of course. They just sparkled, looking at her as if she was the only one. Terra pushed her misgivings away, and promptly plunged in, splashing over to where he was. Nuzzling against him Terra whispered softly. Good to know you don't bite. Reaching up she promptly nipped at his body before twisting and diving underneath, stroking off through the water to another section.

The seigneur wanted her in the water with him, and in she came. The way she splashed into the surf and gotten close to him was just her, it was cute. Kable leaned closer to hear her words, he couldn’t help but smile. He said he wouldn’t bite hard, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t do it playfully or with love. Quickly nipping at him she made an attempt to get away. What?! Oh, it’s on! Get back here. He called after her. She’d gotten him focused on playing; not something he did often but enjoyed it when it was with her. The husky timber wolf mix swam after her fast as he could. Because the Inn was right next to the ocean beside the Lunenburg port, he spent a good bit of deal time in the water and on the boats.

Diving, he swam underneath her, positioning himself directly behind his trickster. The male emerged from the water as quiet as he could. His eyes were narrow; he waited with anticipation, inching closer silently like predator to prey. Gotcha! He burst out; grabbing his mate’s sides he tried hard in his attempt to scare her. The Catori really just wanted a reason to get his hands on his tawny red lover.

Kable was smiling at her words, unsuspecting until her teeth closed around him. In a flash she was swimming away, laughing at the shock on his face. Too quick he was after her, squeals breaking from her as she did her best to swim away from him and stay out of his grasp. It was a shame that he was the better swimmer, making it a short game where she floundered around. He disappeared from sight, Terra convinced that she'd gotten ahead. Laughing silently she slowed herself, unsuspecting.

The sudden eruption told her how wrong she was. Terra struggled, but it was no use, she was secure in his grip. Twisting around she wrapped her legs around his body, a tiny pout on her face. Guess you win. Leaning over she licked his nose, grinning softly. It was nice to be able to relax with him out in the water. Cuddled in his arms she leaned in, breathing in his musky scent. Salt gave a very strong overtone to everything, but it was still him beneath it, his strong frame supporting her. What do you want for a prize?

OOC:: Since this will be the last one or two replies I sped it up.

The waves carried them toward shore. Terra snuggled in close, she held on to him with her legs wrapped around him. Able to stand on his tip toes and keep their heads above water; he looked at his mate with a puzzled look. What do I want for a prize? You, you’re the prize that I get to enjoy every day for the rest of my life. He spoke in a hushed tone, staring into her eyes their faces so close to each other. It was a silly question. Kable wrapped his muscled arms around her lithe figure and pulled her as near as she could get. Their noses were pressed against each other as he smiled.

Kable looked up at the sky, it was getting dark as the sun went down. It’ll be dark soon. He moved to his pack where he kept all the things he gathered on their way to beach. Digging a bed in the sand for the fire starter he filled it with the bark, sticks and twigs. Like with his music the Catori had urges from his inner artist to do stuff like this. The hybrid crafted a design in the sand. There’s something I want to show you. Moving over to his lover he picked up the lighter and lit the edge of the flammables. In no time it went up, the myriad of his vision burned brightly. It wasn’t supposed to be anything in particular just unique and something only he would share with her. Moving behind his mate he hugged her. What do you think? It was the end to a good summer.

His answer brought a smile to her face. He never asked for anything more than just her. It was nice, being able to relax in his presence without a single worry in her head. Sometimes she wondered if she should give him more, but what more was there to give? She invited him along whenever she went somewhere, even when she'd been seized by a whim that had her leaving in the middle of the night, and made sure that he heard her tales of adventure if he didn't come along on one of her impulsive trips.

Snuggling closer Terra wondered if it was possible to melt into someone's body and forever be part of them, the same way she felt like she was part of the earth that she traveled, listening to it's calls. Back on shore she slipped from his grasp, watching as he set the various supplies up. Shaking the dampness free she stepped to his side, wondering what he was going to show her. Her eyes widened as he set it ablaze, a glowing pattern leaping into the air. Wow! That was better than any tricks she had. It's beautiful!
