post log
#1
Next two posts. Click QUOTE to nab it.

All characters in a single log, lots of little fancy CSS dohickeys (that will NOT work in Internet Explorer, sry2say!) that make your post log delicious.

There's space at the top of the post log for handy links (make them useful to yourself, not anyone else -- you'll be spending the most time staring at this thing, after all).

Additionally, a game log is included for your co-ranks/job tracking stuff. Or whatever else you can use it for. 83

This probably won't work very well as a long-term thread archive -- IDK, I've moved all my stuff over to the Wiki because it's ridiculously easy. :|

CSS is included in the first post. There are a few comments here and there but this is not not not a well-documented resource.

Also, because I am being lazy, the game log still has all of my information rather than anything useful. >_>

Post Log

Information

  1. See my primary character's profile for general, boring OOC information.
  2. See Characters @ 'Souls Wiki for detailed information regarding my characters.

Roleplay
  1. Somewhere between three and four weeks of no reply OR your removal from the game, I archive our thread. I am okay with grave-digging threads, as long as they're not completely crusty.
  2. I am rarely opposed to OOC endings and OOC assumptions. PM me to discuss!
  3. In general, I advise contacting me via PM; I don't remember things too well over IM or the chat. For my convenience, try and give your PM a descriptive subject. C:

Achievements & Etc.

Eris: Reclutador Job

  1. Introduce a new recruit to Salsola's culture, ideals, and traditions. The Reclutador-hopeful does not need to have recruited this character themselves.

  2. Recruit a member. The Reclutadore-hopeful does not need to be the sponsor, but the recruit must be accepted into Salsola.

Eris: Pescador Job

  1. Prepare for the Last Supper. Salsola can always use food or spice stores for the Supper.
    • --

  2. Build a fishing weir for Salsola in the Pictou River.
    • --

Myrika: Notarii Co-Rank

  1. Find (or make!) an awesome book for Inferni's history to be recorded in; 1 thread in which your character presents said book to the leaders.

  2. 2 threads with long-time packmembers to get their take on the history.

Tlantli: Milite Job

  1. Engage another, more skilled canine in training. The skilled canine may be a foreigner, but if this is the case, your character should not reveal their connection to Salsola.
    • --
  2. Defend a fellow Salsola member from an attack.
    • --

Hey sweety! I was wondering if there was any way to put in scroll boxes for each character listed? I wanted to modify this post log to be an on-forum archive dump, instead of an actual post log, and since Saul has loooots of threads, it would be easier to make the boxes scrolly! Thank you!
#7
V1a, scrolling archives

Sorry I didn't see this for a few days. XD Edited code for you, but beware:

The forum does have a character limit (IDK what it is, exactly, sorry ;_Wink and this isn't a good idea for a ton of characters with a ton of threads. I exceeded the board's character limit a few times over with Kaena's thread log, but it did have a paragraph detailing each thread, so, meh. IDK. You might be okay with it. 83 Hope it helps.

I may be blind and/or dense but in the Achievements, what does INC mean? And for coding, there is a separator id where you for the first instance have reclutador. I know that is a SL thing but do I replace those with whatever each pack calls their ranks/co-ranks? I may have more questions for you as I merge and clean up my characters' postlogs and such >.>
#9
  • "inc" is for incomplete challenges -- it puts "INC" in red in front of the challenge and (I believe) italicizes it. :3
  • The "id" thing allows you to jump quickly to a particular area -- an anchor link, basically. You can put whatever you want there, really, but I just named it the co-rank so I can go http://www.soulsrpg.com/ipb/index.php?sh...4668#reclutador and skip to where I want. :3
#10
I still am not sure what you mean by the second part Sie.
#11
Maybe
this link
will help -- see how it doesn't load a whole new page, but instead just drags your browser to the appropriate point on the page? :3

Like the table of contents things you can find on 'Souls information -- for example, on the rules, over on the right, you can click "5. Punishments" and jump right down to the punishments section. That's an anchor link (it goes to an anchor, rather than a page).

Here is a basic explanation of what an anchor link is -- BUT id="whatever" functions the same way as anchor text here and is now the proper way to do an anchor link. :3

Lemme know if that explains? XD I would probably make a terrible teacher.
#12
Err, maybe if I post the section that I'm talking about it will help since I think we might be talking about different things Big Grin

Eris: Reclutador Job

That piece of code I'm wondering about the id="reclutador" bit. Are there particular names I should be using or should it simply match the achievement I list right after it? Does that make sense, Sie?
#13
OH OKAY. Yeah, you could just match that up to whatever the co-rank's name is. It doesn't really matter, though. :3
