Aro was shocked that his father asked him to do the ceremony for his mateship to Alyssum. Maybe it was had to do with Tony's reaction, but Sopia could do this. She might have been much more loving. Aro wasn't a mating sort of guy, however, he was becoming more settled on Sidra. Perhaps mating wasn't so dumb, but it was meant to be a forever lasting bond. In a way he'd hoped his father would have stayed loyal to his offspring's mother, his mother, Ghita. But with Ghita never coming back from Italy, perhaps his father had every right to move on. I mean, Aro was happy for his father but as the day came, and reality was hitting harder, Aro was a little sad about it. He had never seen his father with another woman other than his mother. He wouldn't let his emotions interfere, though. He was happy for his father, he just hoped this Alyssum would be loyal, supportive, and there for his father. Maybe she could balance the Knight blood in him.

Aro had planned and worked hard on the mateship speech. He was trying to remember how his father conducted Tony's. He let out a heavy sigh and scribbled it all down on paper. Scratching speech lines out, then crumbling and tossing pieces here and there. Many times he asked Sidra her advice, lately trying to get her to stay in his room since the incident. Perhaps this was a good distraction from the situation with those goons. Her healing state a reminder. She was helpful and after last night he had a well written speech for the mateship ceremony.

Aro groomed himself into peek handsomeness, teeth shiny and sparkling, fur cleaned and brushed. Mohawk trimmed dyed and styled in a nice hawk. He was a charming bastard, he thought as he grinned at himself before leaving the room. His father would surely be proud, he hadn't been getting high in the past four days. He was too preoccupied with Sidra and this planning for the ceremony, not to mention buck. The growing stag followed him all the way to the gardens. He tried to keep the deer behind, but Buck insisted on following him. Aro got there way early which allowed him to make the deer look at least half as good as him. Straightening the collar he had on the deer and picking any ticks and fleas out, then put on some of the cedar cologne Aro made on Buck. "Ha, Buck, you're pretty handsome now..." He ruffled the fur on the deer's head noticing the maybe he could style the stag's fur. He pulled it off, styling the deer's head fur in a slightly tasseled manner.

Standing in the designated spot Aro had Buck at his right side. He wondered if Sidra would show up to Jazper and Alyssum's mateship. She knew when it was, and where...but if she showed that would be grand. He would love to see her beautiful face before anyone showed. He let out a nervous sigh looking down to his paper trying to memorize all he wrote not wanting to fumble over it, or feel stupid for reading it. He wanted it to appear he had just ran it off the top of his head. He hoped it wasn't too lengthy. Licking his lips some he felt the antler of Buck knocking his elbow. The deer sensed his nervousness. Aro looked softly over to the deer and wrapped an arm around his neck, "...I'm cool, friend. No worries..." Aro kissed the deer's nose then released him folding the paper and putting it in his pouch. Looking up he felt ready and then lifted his head knowing no one would gather if he didn't call first...

His deep proud howl broke through the peaceful late summer skies. The clouds sparse but held no threat of rain upon them. It just broke up the bright afternoon sun. He knew there would be no excuse and really he'd feel insulted if the pack didn't attend the mateship of their leaders, their Sole. Aro..well, he had to be here...but he didn't mind, he truly felt proud his father wished him to do this. With a strong stance and proud smile Aro waited, as patiently as he could. If there was one thing Aro tended to lack, it was patience. He hated waiting to grow up, and now he hated waiting for everyone to show.

out of character here

The last week had done Sidra some good. She was healing well, her ribs ached less, her gashes were healing nicely, and most of her bruises were nothing more than barely sensitive patches of flesh on her body. Aro had been exactly what she needed and everything she could ask for all in one handsome man. He'd been there for her every day, and night, wanting to stay with her every moment, probably to watch her and make sure she was okay. She was, with his help, and she didn't object to spending the nights with him. They were nice, carefree and relaxing nights with the only person she could think of wanting to spending this much time with. He'd done well in keeping her mind off of the recent happenings, and they were falling into her past quicker than she thought they would. Her mind had been distracted by her Knight and his own worries. His father's mate ship ceremony was coming up. She knew this because it was a hot topic of discussion between the two lovers over the past few days. Aro had been put in charge of the whole thing. She could tell he'd been stressing about it and she'd helped him with writing the speech. She couldn't wait for the finished product to be spoken out loud by her one and only though she could tell he was a bit nervous to recite it.

Sidra made it a point to look good out of respect for her Alphas, and out of love for Aro. This day was important to him and his father, Aro putting his hard work into today. So, she brushed her hair out so that it was sleek and redid the braids so they weren't frizzy and frayed at the ends. Her bangs were put to one side with a clip she'd obtained over her travels, of course stolen off of some poor lad. She put her red cloak on to cover up all of her bandages and still healing bruises and wore the necklace she stole from Alister around her neck proudly. It had a rich taste, perfect for today's occasion. Once she was satisfied with her appearance, she gave herself a confident nod and went to find Aro. She wanted to ease his nerves before he delivered the speech to all of Casa di Cavalieri.

She was early, but that was a good thing, the first to arrive it seemed. She walked in with her signature sultry and confident walk, eyes falling immediately on Aro with Buck standing at his side with his hair fashioned nicely. It put a large smile on her face seeing them both so handsome, ready for the ceremony. Shortly after she arrived he howled to let everyone know it was now time for the ceremony. With a warm smile on her face she walked up to him and placed her hands on his chest giving him a single kiss, her hands coming to either side of his face. Then met his gaze trying her best to instill confidence in him. You're going to do great. Confidence love. Just picture everyone in the audience with not a single fur on their body if it helps. Remember I'll be in the crowd. She couldn't help but speak the last part in a sultry voice as she added the mention of herself. She then turned and gave him a wink over her shoulder as she walked away. Sidra took her seat and patiently waited for everyone to show up. Her gaze would be ready whenever Aro needed it. She was excited to see the ceremony. She'd never seen one before, and this one was Casa style. Even better.

Raoth was right there behind Aro. His dark demeanor had grown darker with the growing bond between Sidra and Aro. He wanted to be right there next to Aro, instead resigned for remaining in the shadows and doing his best. While Buck and Aro had prepared to go stand in the front Raoth had scouted the area to make sure that he couldn't see any possible threats. Pointless, considering where they were, but he felt pretty useless right now.

The deep howl echoed through the entire hall, calling for everyone to come. It was just his luck that Sidra arrived moments before that, giving confidence and courage to Aro. Back in the shadows of the room he didn't move from his position. As far as he was concerned Sidra was an enemy. No matter how friendly and cheerful she was. She took up Aro's attention, and off from the possessive coyote. Not that he would do anything to stop it, just fume in jealousy. Sighing he turned his attention back to watch who else would enter in.

The knight girl was so happy to learn of her father’s wish to move on. Sophia was one to believe that love was a wonderful thing, and that no one had any right to place any sort of limits upon love. So to learn that her brother was asked to do the ceremony the child was even happier. It was now a family matter, father picking out a new mate, and her brother, her litter mate was blessing them. Granted Sophia was much more into the happiness of the act of sharing free love however the female did not feel she was in the right place right now to do such a huge act. This was something that couldn’t be messed up, she would be still the newest Knight within the pack mess up and she was fully aware. There were no hard feelings from Sophia who her father chooses, in fact it had given her a chance to gather some late summer flowers and hold them in a basket as she waited for her father and her new stepmother to say the promise to each other, to proclaim their love in front of all the pack. The Knight girl was also ready to party the night away once this done and over with. She would find the beat of the earth and would dance, sing and jump away the night and would hope she could talk Aro and a few other into her fun time.

”Aro. You’ll be fine! Matters of a fact, Dad picked the best man for the job! You’re his son, his oldest son! If you need any help someone will be around. Now. do me a favor…don’t get too mushy and get all worked up and start whimpering about a new relationship. Dadddy-O is in love, and you’ve never seen someone in love start a war have you?” Sophia added in with a snorted giggle as she tossed some flower petals around. She couldn’t wait for this party to get started.

Raoth had come, and boy he was pleased that he was right there, however, he could sense something was up. He would need to have a sit down with Raoth again. He probably should spend more time with the coyote. His eyes looked up after his slight 'zone-out' to see a beautiful smiling face looking right at him. Sidra. Let alone she looked extremely sexy. His heart pounded and for a moment he felt like this ceremony wasn't about his father, her words came to him as she touched his face. He wondered---no! No! He couldn't ever mate with anyone! He liked the joy of freedom. Having invisible chains, and puppies around from just one person seemed to be a dull and upsetting life. Too domesticated for him. But look at her! He was in love. He knew this. He would say he 'I love you' because he did love her...but this love that he felt for her was getting stronger with every second he spent with her.

He gave a warm grin, speechlessly, to Sidra her as she mentioned she'd be there in the crowd for him, her words though delayed entered his mind. Sidra was all in his thoughts now. That was until his sister came about and seeming to skip about the area blabbing about him. His trance and thoughts of Sidra gone as he glared at his sister. She was so odd! Where did this free-bird hippie girl come from!? Oh..yeah that's right she's Sophia Knight...his sister. He huffed, eyes still narrowed on the flower tossing hippie chick who loved to party. "Soph! I'm not a mushy guy...you're projecting your emotions onto me...now twist those back! You don't get all mushy and whimpery! Go sit your ass down somewhere! You little fairy!" Oh man, he needed a smoke, his sister was putting him on edge already. Then he straightened back up and looked to Sidra. The sight of her immediately started to calm him again. He could do this...he could do this! He just didn't want to fumble about, he wanted to impress his father with a great speech and ceremony.

Jazper was getting mated. Yay. Woohoo. Joy. Well, there went some of the best sex he'd probably ever have access to. At least he still had Hadley. It wasn't that the sex with Hadley wasn't great- it was that Jazper was far more dominant than Hadley would likely ever be. Bigger too. Sebastian at least wished that the big black Sole had at least waited a while. From Alyssum's rapid promotion through the ranks to her sudden mateship, there would undoubtedly be whispers as to precisely what she did to attain the rank of Luna so swiftly.

Eh. Whatever. Sebastian didn't care about that. It wasn't as though Jazper lacked the judgement to decide who should lead alongside him. What annoyed him the most was that there would doubtlessly be little Jazpers running around, either this year or the next. More children, no sex for Sebastian, less time for him and Jazzy to spend together... At least Jazper Rhiannon-Knight would be happy. The Italian wouldn't be, but that hardly mattered.

Sebastian slid quietly to the ceremony, taking a seat close to the back. He would be here, see the ceremony, clap along with the others before he slunk back off to his room. He needed some thinking time to himself today, but first he had to endure this ceremony.

OOC poor sebby

She was growing, chatting happily as Hadley snuggled her in his arms. Amatha talked about everything in her limited vocabulary. Sometimes it was just nonsense being babbled, with the occasional word breaking through and giving some guide as to what Hadley should respond to her. A grin on his face he entered in, placing Amatha on the ground. The pup happily moved towards Sebastian, even as unsteady as her movements were. She knew her uncle, if not well.

Moving forwards Hadley looked around for the sole and luna. They weren't there yet. Too bad. The pack was filing in at a pretty good pace. Picking out a seat he settled down, tail wagging. He'd even brought a small gift for the new couple. Nothing fancy, just a pair of bows for them. Carvings around the handles made it clear that it was a matching set. It had been made with more confidence than previous ones, experience finally letting him make a bow that would work well.

OOC: Big Grin / +300

It was today. Today he would take on a new mate, his second mate. A mate that believed in him and his dreams for Casa, who supported him and cared about the pack as much as he did. Standing in front of the cracked mirror in his room he looked himself over: red shirt, beige pants, leather gauntlets and shoulder piece, sword on back, bear fur cloak neatly placed over he left shoulder (so that the shoulder piece was clearly visible) and kept in place by a gold tinted metal sun clip. Anxiety filled him, butterflies creating a tiny hurricane within his gut as he started out of his room and towards the gardens.

He had asked Aro to officiate the mateship, since both leaders were preoccupied with the becoming mate’s issue and neither had a Destra or Sinistra to keep everything in order. Earlier in the day he had moved fallen logs in front of the river so that his pack mates would have a place to sit. It was the perfect location, flowers in blossom, trees providing shade, a river trickling behind where they would stand. As he drew closer to the growing crowd the anxiety slowly became replaced with excitement. He was happy, happier than he had been in a long time. When Ghita had cast him out and called him a traitor he had questioned who he was, but before him now stood a group of Cavaliers, his friends, and he was certain he had chosen wisely.

With a large goofy grin on his face he marched right up to Aro and Sophia, large hands finding a place on both of their shoulders, Sophie. He warned teasingly, You best not be bugging your brother now, I need him in tip top shape. He winked with a sideways smirk at his eldest boy before turning his gaze back to his daughter, Why don’t you go find a seat darling? It seemed that Alyssum had yet to arrive but Jazper didn’t give it a second thought, he would wait for her all day if need be.

(497) excite!

The Luna's room was a complete mess. From the disheveled items that were moved and placed and rearranged in preparations to be moved into the Sole's room and the clothing that littered and hung from just about everything, it was hard to see where one thing was, or when one thing began and end. She held up another piece of covering, a nice maroon shirt, to the reflective thing she got for this occasion. She whined and threw that across the room as well, and went back to digging into her bag, which was depleting of choices to pick from. While she was rarely concerned about her look, her mateship was something big to her, and the woman automatically felt a surge of self-consciousness overcome her at the thought of her appearance.

She had reached the end, the last clothing she owned, and as she held it up to the mirror dejectedly, waiting for defeat. But, she glanced back over the piece, and a smile crept upon her worried face. Maybe she would not look too bad, maybe.

She was starting on her mane after slipping on the clothing when the howl sounded. That sent her into a panicked yet excited frenzy, and started a whole other fret about her hair, which took longer than it should. The woman finally decided to just leave it down, like usual--and sighed with annoyance that it took time for her to decided that. She quickly smoothed herself over, erasing any frustration and anxiety she had about the preparation of the ceremony. The thought of Jazper helped ease a smile upon her face, at least.

She made her way down the stairs, and out of the courthouse, and paused only when the next turn would bring her into the gardens. Butterflies fluttered against her insides, tempted to fly right out of her. So many emotions mixed within her, but the most prevalent was the budding yet potent love. Not only for her soon-to-be mate, but for the pack she now mothered as well. It was as if this union was only tying the pack closer together, being the family she had described them to be. She did not know that there would be some that would say otherwise, but she enjoyed the bliss of the idea, anyway.

She took a big breath and rounded the corner, and walked with a surprising grace into the gardens. The stark white fabric dress she wore made her feel as if it was absorbing all the light in the area, drawing all attention to her with just her presence. But, despite the shyness that rose up within her, she kept her chin high, and smiled faintly when she saw Jazper--he wasn't hard to spot, with his lavished appearance and height. Her already speeding heart went a few miles faster, and she had to remind herself to keep her regal pace and not to jump into the man's arms, even though she wanted to so badly.

OOC stuff goes here Big Grin

****

Good things were slowly coming to the pack. The serious nature that had taken the dog since her grandpa's death didn't lift, becoming more and more a serious part of her nature. It was simply who she was. The fact that pups were on their way, and members were finding mates didn't really sink into Adelle. She smiled and was happy that good things were happening for them, but she hadn't really moved on and found happiness for herself. It was taking time to move past.

The gathering howl wasn't from either of the alphas. Realizing that they were going to becoming mates soon as well Adelle gathered herself up, moving to join in. She found a seat near the back, watching as Alyssum moved up to Jazper. They both looked so happy with what was happening, Aro looking like he was going to have a nervous break down dealing with all of it. A small smile formed on her features, wondering if she would ever be able to find someone like that.

x.x here goes!

Everyone was shuffling in, and once everyone had settled and found their seats, and Sophia was being told to leave him alone. Aro was feeling both relieved and more nervous. He loved being the spotlight, but to have all the pack on him meant he had to really show them. He wanted to impress them all. He still had it rooted that he wanted to be like his father, but the older he got he realized he needed to mark his own path, but the destination was the same. His eyes looked to his father a warm happy grin on his mug, then his eyes went to the woman of the hour. Alyssum.

He cleared his throat hoping to calm everyone and get their focus to the front. Once everyone was focused Aro began, "Welcome! I am glad to see you all here today for a wonderful day of music and celebration for the union of Alyssum de Fonte and my father, Jazper Rhiannon-Knight. I am both honored and surprised to be the one to lead them in this wonderful union. They are both wonderful canines, and Alyssum has been a grand woman. I have not the privilege of knowing her fully, but what I have learned from my few encounters is, she is a grand woman. Having both pride, understanding, and a kind heart. She loves this pack, and supports my father in his boundless goals. I am pleased to see my father find such a woman, and I hope them many years of joy, happiness, and hopefully a litter or two to fill their lives. Now let us begin before I babble more! His eyes went from the Casa Cavaleiris' to both his father and Alyssum. "I trust you two have vowels to share with one another?" His eyes looked to either one, a warm smile still on him as he let them speak to one another.

Moments after his brief chat with his two eldest children his ears twitched at the sound of many feet moving to take a seat. Turning around his golden eyes easily found the source of the hustle and a soft smile graced his muzzle. Rolling his shoulders back he rested he shifted his body into it’s full height. Taking a few steps forward to meet his soon-to-be mate the Sole extended a paw, taking Alyssum's right arm and tucking it under his left, leading her the rest of the way towards the front. With a childlike grin he leaned in and whispered in her ear, You look beautiful amore. Like a queen. Their feet landed at last in front of his eldest son and Jazper released her arm, allowing her to stand freely beside him.

Silently he listened to Aro greet the pack, who all sat patiently on the logs. There was a huge sense of pride in the alpha as the ceremony began. The pack was his creation, his family and with his mate leading Casa by his side it was about to enter a new era. His son’s voice fell quiet as he requested the pair announce their vows. Looking at the Luna the warrior king smiled sweetly. Aly. He broke the silence. You have captured my attention ever since you came here. My life has changed drastically in the past year and I have made my fair share of mistakes along the way, but should you give this boy a chance I promise you that I will spend the rest of my life making you feel like the only women I see. I promise to remind you every day that I love you, and I guard you with every last breath. But most of all I promise you that I will never stray from you but embrace you and support you, trying every day to be the man that you deserve. Pausing he took a slow breath, his sun kissed face watching his hybrid queen.

Woot for jealous Sebhead!

Surprisingly, Sebastian permitted the infant to approach him. He didn't care any more. At least it had some form of sentience now, and was no longer a drooling ball of fur that regularly soiled itself. The Italian patted her on the head absent-mindedly, even going so far as to hesitantly stroke her ears. It helped to distract him from the ceremony.

Aro spoke after Jazper and his bride arrived and the pack were settled. Joyous indeed. Sebastian blithely wondered if Jazper minded that Sebastian had now banged two of his sons, if he even knew. Was Tony single? May as well make it all three of them, just to be neat. It would make for a lovely story when the Rhiannon-Knight and Marino family reunions got together.

Oh well. At least the ceremony was very short. Grand woman, litters, happiness, et cetera. Lovely. Jazper's vow was all that could be expected- holding Alyssum up on a pedestal, striving to be the man she deserved, and so on. His typically noble, chivalrous attitude showed its head right there, as it did in his every action, thought and word.

The foxy male's claws dug into his jeans. Yes, fine. He was jealous. Envious, even. It was something he would rather not admit to, but he was. Sebastian Auditore de Roma was jealous of Alyssum. It was only careful self-control that prevented him from giving this away.

She took his extended hand with an air of self-possession, but once they were arm in arm, the man could tell how excited and nervous she was by her tight hold. His voice tickled her ear, and she could not help but let a small grin play along her muzzle and felt her skin heat up around her face in an innocent blush. "You don't look shabby yourself. Looks fit for a king," he managed to whisper back before they reached Aro. When they had reached the young man, they had released each other, but Alyssum remained close to his side, allowing her shoulder to brush against his arm subtlety every now and then.

She listened to Aro's speech with both patience and impatience. While she hung on every word, the memory of this event never to be forgotten by the woman, she also somehow wished for its ending to come swiftly, for her and Jazper to be officially united. She paced herself in mind, though, and used Aro's words to distract her mind that was lit with so many burning thoughts. Again the blush glowed her cheeks when the Knight spoke of her do highly, and she felt even them getting hotter at the mention of a litter--or two, he had added. Her already fluttering heart started to skip some beats, and she could not quiet the meek, small smile that colored her face as she glanced towards the ground shyly.

She only lifted her gaze when it was time for them to speak, and looked at Jazper as he spoke. With each word that was said, with each promise made, she knew that she was making the right choice. Skye was indeed on her mind, but in the far reaches of it, a mere buzz among the chorus that echoed within. There will be time for her later, but as for right now, all the Alyssum was concerned about was the man before her, and the deep love she had for him.

His words slowed to a stop, and the woman allowed a moment to pass, for the words to truly sink in and to be taken to mind, to be remembered for a very long time. When the time for her to speak came, she felt nervous, but it was to be expected, so she did not hesitate. "Jazper, I promise to love you without restraint, comfort you in times of distress, encourage you to achieve all of your goals, even when they seem far-fetched, laugh with you and cry with you, grow with you in mind, and spirit, and to always be open and honest with you. I cherish you the most, and that will never change, no matter how long either of us shall live. I'll never let you go, no matter what." With that, her pale hand sought for his own, and held it gently when she got of a hold of it, staring up at the man with pure happiness.

OOC you dont wanna make him cry XD

Amatha was overcome with joy at the rare show of affection from her uncle, happily panting as she sat at his feet. Hadley looked over with shock, trying to signal for the young pup to return without interrupting anything. She completely ignored him, the hybrid straightening up as Jazper and Aly entered, ready for the ceremony. Aly looked even more lovely than usual. Did she agree to the same thing Isa had, that Sebastian could keep sleeping with Jazper? It had been a little startling when she agreed, but it had made Hadley happy. Perhaps Jazper had the same deal.

He listened as Aro spoke, tail occasionally beating on the wood behind him as he listened to Aro's words. The vows Jazper and Aly spoke were much more gracious than the short one he'd said at his ceremony. Granted, he had been drunk at the time, and had difficultly stringing more than two words together. He didn't think that he could have done something as beautiful as that anyways. Whimpers broke from Amatha when the petting halted, nudging against Sebastian again. As soon as the ceremony was over he was going to have to rescue the red wolf. With the vows completed he walked over, scooping Amatha up. Sorry for that. Moving to the front Hadley did his best to not show his nerves, clutching the bows tightly.

Reaching the front of the room Hadley suddenly felt like all the eyes were on him. His ears were completely pasted to his skull. He held out the bows, placed them in the new couple's grip, and bolted for the exit. His nerve snapped Hadley found himself incapable of staying there any longer. Next time he'd give the gifts before the ceremony started.

The vows were great, and warming. Maybe he was a little soft when it came to the ceremony. But this involved his dad, what could anyone expect. Once everyone else gave their congratulations and gifts Aro too gave a warm congratulatory smile, then extended his hand to his father. "I'm happy for you! Congratulations, father!" Then he turned to Alyssum, his eyes looked a little more stern as he spoke, "Take care of him, he needs a loyal woman in his life.." He then smiled warmly and brought her in for a bear hug, "..congratulations, Luna." He brought her up from her feet then sat her back down patting her back chuckling. Nodding to them both then walked away finding his love. Grabbing Sidra and picked her beautiful self up and hugged her, whispering I love you in her ear, then placed her down, "..thank you for being so supportive. Now, let's go celebrate with my special sister...what do you say?" He gave her a wink, then remembered something, "...well maybe we shouldn't party.." He gave a light chuckle, "..let's find something else to do..whadda say, hun?" He asked as he then began to lead her home to leave the newly mated couple to do their thing.

Vows, all well and good. Sebastian dug the claws of his right hand into his jeans, stopping shy of tearing through the tough material. It was lucky he had the presence of mind to avoid accidentally scratching the child's head. He kept his pets slow, steady and even, focusing on just that movement instead of the ceremony.

Envy was not a pleasant emotion. It surged into his throat like bile. Still, he kept it quiet. It would not do to antagonise Jazper or his newly-promoted mate. Nor did he want to upset anyone else. He was so wrapped up inside his own thoughts he failed to notice that the ceremony had almost concluded until Hadley picked up his daughter.

"Oh. Hadley, it's-" no trouble. He was already gone. Never mind.

Sebastian stood mechanically and offered his own gift to the newly mated pair, keeping a surprisingly realistic smile on his face.

"Congratulations," he said softly, offering the pair a quick bow. "May this serve you well." The Italian set a book down on the table. It was a book detailing the techniques and tricks of swordplay and fencing. Though Jazper may not need it- he could likely just swing a sledgehammer and leave a crater where his opponent stood- it would doubtlessly be useful to Alyssum and any children they may have.

Another short bow later and the Italian was gone, blending into the crowd, ducking behind the many larger members of Casa di Cavalieri before he vanished from the spot. He needed time to brood.
