How did you hear about 'Souls?: Been hurrr. :B

Leaving a child, she returned a woman. She let her paws, whether they were four or two on the Earth, be her navigation to destiny as she set out toward the horizon of the sunset in the direction of the flaring sun. She followed the sunset instead of the sunrise, thinking that somehow she would end up at the edge of the world where the sun falls off the horizon into some parallel universe. She thought she would find the source to keep the sun burning, led by pure wanderlust and imagination, but only found more rolling hills and slopes. In between her journey she discovered many wonderful things of sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste. She discovered an array of personalities, individuals, creatures, and objects; everything she wanted to capture to place in her knapsack, and bring it all back to her family to see. Evadne was no burro, and she wasn't about to use her as one. However, she brought as many little trinkets of items and keepsakes as she could, to distribute to her family and the Tribe itself.
It was early morning, where the dew was fresh on the Earth, and the sun could be felt warming your back generously. There was also that kiss of cool air that mingled, signifying that Summer was gone and Autumn took place now. It was refreshing and a breath of crisp air, although the trees did not begin shedding their leaves yet, they would be very close to doing so in the next coming weeks of Fall. When the heat and warmth of the Summer began to wither away, was when she decided to return back home. As much as she enjoyed her journeys as a nomad, there was always one true place in her heart and soul to return to. These were her lands as much as they were to the rest of the Tribe, and born an official AniWayan, these lands meant so much more to the heart and soul. She could feel her heart swell once she reached a pinnacle point to where she could overlook the territory in its entirety, and for a moment a ridiculously wolfish smile couldn't help to stretch along her muzzle. Home, again.
She always wondered in the back of her mind what her family was up to, what her siblings looked like now, what specialized paths they each took, and maybe if her siblings also had a family of themselves already started. Not a day passed where she didn't think about each and every family member, and simply couldn't wait to distribute all of her keepsakes from the outside for them to keep and cherish. Her heart leapt and sang in her chest as she approached closer, walking on two legs and both braids of her long, thick hair falling past the front of her shoulders and swaying past her hips. Evadne trotted beside her, keeping pace but also growing increasingly wary of the territory they were coming upon, as if sensing the mare knew there were more creatures to be anticipated. She would occasionally stroke through Evadne's mane and hum a little tune, a tune that seemed to soothe and bring a confident connection between the two. Ocèane and Evadne were riding the border of AniWaya, and then it was by Ocèane stopping that Evadne would be more than happy to stop as well. Standing still for a moment, she was a spectator from the outside, looking in. She could burst into very flames right now with how excited she was, but then again bursting into flames wouldn't be very useful if she wanted to show everyone that she returned, and how much of a woman she grew into now.

Yeee! Big Grin (+440)

After her journey to Dahlia de Mai, Tayui had begun to slowly find peace. Speaking with Alaine brought back fond memories and she hoped to see the collie woman again. But until that happened, Tayui was beginning to see the brighter side of life, even if there were moments – and there were many – when she still felt unfulfilled. She had tried her best to ignore the part of her that still demanded vengeance even after Haku was dead. So far, she had been quite successful at removing the parts of herself which she disagreed with: her anger and her scorn would soon be no more and she could be happy again. She did not want to have these feelings, so she had set about a routine to methodologically remove them. She had remained away from Inferni, cursing the day she had asked Kaena to teach her to fight. But that small sliver of her old personality still wanted to return and take solace in the simple, but brutish act of violence.

She was not a violent woman. She would not be, for she had spent so much time trying to remove the reasons for violence. She still had Claudius, and even if he was a little slow to understand things, he was beginning to understand what had happened in his own way. She still had Dawali and now, she had Conor. He might not have been her son, but she would care for him nonetheless.

On this day, she was picking her way along the AniWayan border, taking her time to enjoy the cool autumn air, mixed with the crispness of the oncoming winter. She remembered how she had loved the winter and scorned all seasons hot. Her coat was thickening and deepening, preparing her for the coming months. While it did not feel like winter yet, she was still excited for it nonetheless.

Tayui made her way farther through the tribelands, pausing only to examine something in detail before moving on. She paused once more when the breeze brought her an old scent made new, one that reminded her of nostalgia, fire and high-pitched giggles. It seemed as though Ocèane had returned. Tayui jogged farther out from the borders, trying to locate her daughter. She could see her a few metres away with what looked to be like a horse. Although Tayui was surprised, she was also incredibly happy to see her wayward daughter return to her.

She quickened her pace and jogged over to where Ocèane was waiting with a grand grin on her face.

“Ocèane!” she called out, reaching her arms out wide. “Ocèane, honey, you’re home.”

Made of fail, yes. :/ Might I add I love your table? Big Grin

There was no doubt to wait any longer than visitors should at the borders of the Tribe, for it seemed like there was a member somewhere that was able to discern the shift in the breeze of a stranger's scent. Her chin lifted some, seeing a figure of pure white in the distance begin to make a brisk stride toward her and her companion. Seemingly the mare noticed this before she would, and giving a snort, began reversing back in its steps and then trotting away some from the approaching figure. Evadne wasn't particularly used to coming in contact with other Luperci in a comfortable manner just yet, and found herself separating from the two Luperci about twenty yards away; enough distance where the mare could look on curiously, but keep safe distance just in case.

There was an eyebrow quirked at Evadne, but not a word or motion made, for Ocèane did not decide or want to coax Evadne back by her side. She would learn in time to grow used to this home that brought Ocèane in the world, that breathed life into her. To her surprise, she wasn't expecting to see the very individual that gave birth to her and brought her means into this world. Her heart leapt and skipped in her chest, a ridiculously matching grin breaking out across her chocolate muzzle. Her feet already began whisking her forward, long before Tayui would have the opportunity to come to a halt in front of Ocèane. She immediately recognized the tell-tale markings and two-toned gleam of her mother's eyes, and her voice, chipper and like a lovely tune, filled her ears. A voice that seemed like it wasn't heard in many centuries, but it was a voice to be cherished.

Ocèane accepted her mother's invitation to an embrace, immediately rushing into her arms and wrapping her own around the broad torso of Tayui in what would be an anaconda like death hug. Ocèane, she was strong like Tayui now too, and showed her strength and compassion in her embrace (but not too hard though, as to not literally squeeze her in an uncomfortable fashion). There was a cascade of sparkling laughter to come from the fire starter's throat, as Ocèane clung on for what was dear life to Tayui. "Mother, I wasn't expecting you to be the first to see! I'm so glad to return home, I felt like it was my time to come back to you. To all of us." Ocèane said in specific regard to the family unit as a whole, pulling away slightly from the embrace to get a better look at Tayui. It struck her in the back of her mind about her companion, which was still yards away, gleaming at the two Luperci in hesitant curiosity. "Oh, that's Evadne over there. She's still wild yet, a little temperamental, but she'll come around eventually." By Ocèane saying just that, it was as if Evadne understood what she said, and gave a snort and a neigh from her distance, as if disagreeing with Ocèane.

Aww, thank you! Let me know if it's too hard to read on the new skin :S

This was a reunion she had dreamed about: she would one day find Ocèane back in the lands, who would then rush into her arms, exactly where she belonged. Tayui revelled at this, surprised that a fantasy could match reality so well. It was a rare occasion and she would have to revisit it to cherish it later on. Now, she just wanted to get to know her daughter again. Even if Ocèane had been flighty at worst and madly adventurous at best, she had a good heart and she could only hope that would mean she would stay here for good.

“I’m so glad you’re home. You can always come home, always,” she replied almost breathlessly. Her daughter’s return put her other, more morbid thoughts aside. Tayui gave a small chuckle as she inhaled, allowing her daughter’s scent to fill her lungs and warm her heart. Tayui blinked when Ocèane moved back, but quickly realized it was with a certain purpose. She nodded when Ocèane motioned toward the horse, trying to process the new information. When had Ocèane learned how to tame – or even ride – a horse? Tayui shook her head in wonderment, hoping that this would soon be revealed. It seemed as though her daughter’s time away from AniWaya had borne fruit. Nonetheless, she hoped another disappearance would not be necessary for her daughter to further her skill sets, especially not with the hub of luperci concentrated in the surrounding area. And, of course, with her family so close by.
