Melee had been know to see her father as well as his siblings around the pack except for one. She hadn’t really seen much of her Aunt Shiloh hanging around the pack. She often wondered if she had been off to see other packs like she had been doing. Speaking of which, she really wanted to head back in the direction of Crimson Dreams to see her friend again. She was eager to have him show her around his pack so she could see what it was like there. She had been interested in the pack and wanted to learn more about it. The girl was so excited that she could barely contain herself. She often found herself bounding from her home and heading for the borders so that she could sneak out and go play. Today was one of those days. The brown pup was rolling around in the snow as she ran along the borders of the pack lands. She was looking for the spot she had left from to where she could go and see Oak again. So far she wasn’t able to sniff it out. She wondered if she had already past it and she was just wandering around for the fun of it. While she wanted to leave, she couldn’t help but be distracted from the fun she was having in the snow. The girl continued to roll around before laughing and heading back down the borders, back the way she came.

Melee stopped when she came to a hill. She looked down to all the freshly made snow. It looked so lovely and this was the perfect place for the pup to make a fool out of herself. Thankfully there didn’t seem to be too many trees or rocks at the bottom so it was safe for her to run around and have her fun. The pup began to run along the side of the hill, making so many paw prints that she barely recognized it. She was having so much fun running around that she completely forgot about going back to the borders and out of Dahlia de Mai. She stood at the top of the hill and looked over the mess she made. She felt so proud of herself and bounded off to go find another patch of snow to play in. The brown pup began to head down the head, but she lost her footing and began to forward roll down the hill. She could feel the snow building up on her body as she continued to roll. Her speed was increasing and she looked to see the snow covering her like a ball. She closed her eyes to brace herself from the impact. So far it wasn’t looking like she was going to run into anything, she just kept on rolling. The pup whined as she continued to roll, wondering if anyone would hear her and help her to stop rolling.

Finally she stopped and hit a small tree nearby. Because the snow was protecting her, she didn’t suffer from any injuries. She paused and fell into some snow. Melee laid there for a while before shaking her head and walking around, trying to figure out where in the pack lands she was.

687 words. Now that I am squeaky clean, I have Shiloh muse!

Snow here, snow there. Snow was just... everywhere! The pristine female could not escape it, even in her two legged form that she was loving more with each passing day. She loved it so much, she was willing to break Dahlia's traditions at Hibernal, by staying on two legs. As she walked along with no particular destination in mind, walking over shapely mounds of snow, she had remembered that celebration. Ooh did Conor give her quite a talking to! But Shiloh didn't care, in his mind she was still family, and they all lived in the same house still. He could say what he wanted, so no matter how stubborn Shiloh became, she would always be family.

Nose became subconsciously buried in her long coat, she was becoming rather fond of it. Shiloh was slowly learning how to produce clothing, but they were only small things. And they still looked gaudy, but there weren't that many materials to choose from. If only there was someone she could meet, that knew knitting and leather working, then she would be in business. For a spare moment, the Dawnbringer female thought about making another long trip again, back down to AniWaya. Those wolves had some very interesting clothing, and some were kind enough to spare her a few things. Some leather strips, a few elegant feathers, and even a small, used sewing awl. But that was a journey that would last a few days, so there must be some other neighboring pack that would spare her the time.

Her thoughts were quickly interrupted, though, as her cream colored ears swiveled forward on her head, hearing a noise not far off. It sounded like a 'thud!' of sorts, but Shi quickened her pace and made her way to the top of a small hill. Cerulean eyes gazed to the bottom, where a long, snowy trail was made by someone near where she stood, down to the bottom. She looked from her camouflaged white feet to a mound of snow at the base of a tree, and was surprised to see someone coming out of the buried snow. "Are you okay?" She hollered out into the frostbitten air, but soon decided to close the distance between herself as the small pup. The scents became more familiar, moreso than the brown pup who was completely covered in snow. "Melee?" She said curiously, watching as the pup emerged fully from her snowy cavern.

"Oh my, are you hurt?" Her sing-song voice spoke with more urgency, now, as sibling instinct took over and she knelt down to quickly brush the pup of snow and to check for wounds. When Shiloh had arrived back home, and heard stories of each of her brothers since they were separated, she was surprised to hear that Giddy had found, and thereby adopted, a pair of pups. Giddy was still a pup himself, then, and in Shi's mind still was. Everyone knew that females matured mentally faster than males, anyways. Though she hadn't seen much of the pups except for Hibernal and other spare occasions, Shiloh now had the responsibility of being an aunt.

Whether the pup liked it or not, Shi scooped the young female up and inspected her. Shi was no healer herself, and she would spend hours cleaning herself if even a few spots of blood were found on her perfectly white fingers, but that didn't concern her just then. The white damsel never had much experience with pups, she herself never even acted like a pup when she still had all that soft hair and an innocent view of the world. But instinctively she had to get the pup clean, and check to see if she was hurt. Softly, she put the pup down while her bright blue eyes looked at the pup. "What in the world are you doing out here, anyways? Where's Giddy?" She looked up and gazed around the snowy wonderland that was Dahlia de Mai. The female was oblivious to how many questions she was asking, and not even considering that the pup was simply being what she was - a pup.

sorry for the wait. SSWM:

Melee could not believe that she was actually rolling in a ball of snow. She wished that this had never happened and that she could just go back to playing happily on the hill in the snow. She could feel the snow packing onto her fur as she continued down. The cold was getting to her and she just wanted to get out of the cold. Once she was done rolling, she could not wait til she would be able to go home and into the heat. She finally hit and stumbled around; although, all she could think about getting home to a nice fire and curling up for some warmth. The pup tried to shake the snow off her fur, but a lot of it stayed on her. It would not shake off her body. The girl whined as she tried to get herself back on her feet. She walked away from where she had rolled into the tree and just wanted to go back home. She hoped someone would come find her so they could take her back home and warm her up.

Melee looked around but did not see anyone. The only thing she could see was the snow laying around her. She moved her ears up, trying to listen and see if there was anyone nearby. Finally she caught the scent of someone coming. She looked around for the source of the scent. She then heard someone calling out to her. She looked around and finally caught sight of the white female coming towards her. She could hear the woman’s voice coming closer. She looked up and noticed that it was actually her aunt Shiloh. She was so glad that a family member had been the one to find her. She smiled and then shivered. ”That you auntie Shiloh? Thank goodness. I is cold. Can we go back home?” She moved closer to her aunt and looked up to her. She was glad to see her aunt and was sure that she would want to get the girl somewhere warm too. The pup shook her fur again to try and get more of the snow off, but it wasn’t really helping.

Melee paused as her aunt picked her up and checked over her. She looked at her and nodded. ”I is ok auntie Shiloh. Can you set me down now?” She looked around and once she was down on the ground again, she would stay near her aunt until she was ready to head back home and figure out what to do now. The girl looked to Shiloh as she asked what she was doing here and where her father was. She looked around for him, though did not see him nearby. She looked back to the white female and shook her head. ”I was just out hewe playing. I dun know whewe daddy is.”
