after the fight? :3

Skye was sitting outside in the rocking chair that was right outside her house, on the porch. She was still pondering the events of the day. Sky and Orin, fighting...she would never have thought that would have happened! And all over silly Shawchert, whose body moved faster than his brain did, apparently. She rolled her eyes to herself, thinking that she would have to give the man a serious talking to later. Perhaps tomorrow she would go down to his hut and talk to him; either to berate him or comfort him, whichever came first. If he was looking really pathetic, most likely the latter, because Skye knew that he felt dirty for what he did.

Skye didn't know who started the fight, and neither girls seemed like the ones to do it. Her mind wandered over each in turn - Orin, who had so been swayed by Shawchert's undeniable charisma, who loved reading and writing and enjoyed talking the most, perhaps. She was a bit clumsy, as demonstrated when she had almost totaled Skye's garden, but she was a good soul, and was very happy and cheerful most of the time. Sky was more reserved, but her voice was like gold and sang of who she really was - a young girl looking for a home; Skye didn't want to think about either of them fighting. She just wanted to be both their friends, and wanted them to be friends, as well.

She had known that Sky liked Shaw from the start - the way she looked at him, the way she spoke around him, and, most of all, the way she had danced with him at the party after Skye had. Skye had no romantic feelings for Shawchert, but she could easily see why Sky had taken to liking him so much. She wondered if Orin liked him like that, too, if Orin loved him; she couldn't say she thought she did. The way Orin was around Shawchert was different, more friendly, like with Skye and him. Of course, Skye and him would never...ughck!!

Skye shook her head free of disturbing thoughts. Ew! That was disgusting! No, Skye and Shawchert would never be anything more than friends. But, then, who would Shawchert choose? Orin or Sky? She assumed that he had felt dirty because he didn't want Orin as a mate; did that mean he wanted Sky? Or did he want either of them at all, or just didn't want to have a mate right now? She leaned her head back against the rocking chair, deep in thought. She would definitely have to talk with the alpha tomorrow.

+388 La~ Sorry for the wait. :/

Well so much for the good mood. Sky and Shawchert had just had a pity fest together, with Sky pitying herself the entire time she tried comforting the self-pitying Shaw, who'd come calling for her after what had happened with Orin and him. She wasn't sure how things were going to be from now on; no doubt Orin could end up with children by him, and that might bring Shaw to play an active role as their father. Then again, Sky never knew her father, and she did just fine without, right?

No, that was cruel. All children deserved to know such a kind man was their father. If Orin had kids, Shawchert would be the first to hear of it, be it through Orin herself, or from Sky. Nothing got past Sky in the pack anymore; she'd always hear the latest gossip, wether she liked it or not.

Humming a joyless tune, the wolfdog meandered towards home again, having gone to visit the forest for a quick cool down. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she wanted to see Shaw and make sure he was alright. He hadn't looked well when the two lovesicks had parted ways, and it constantly hung like a rock in her throat when he looked like that. When he'd come calling for her, ragtag and a mess, she'd wanted to cry.

Her travel didn't take her home though. Rather, she ended up heading towards a familliar and welcome scent. The co-leader, Skye Collins. As if a replay, it was like when Shaw had approached Sky, when the young wolfdog had been on her own front deck in her own wooden chair, thoughtful and alone. Now, it was Sky's turn, this time crawling up with a beaten up appearance, heading to talk to Skye in hopes of getting it all off her chest.

"Skye... hey... uh, spare a moment?" Young girl had so much to say, and so little ways of getting it out. She stood at the bottom of the porch steps, leaning on the rail with one foot lifted to the first step. The usual blue jeans and now stained turtleneck sweater was worn, light blue in color, matching her icey-colored eyes. She stood waiting for a response, hoping the older co-leader would grant her that moment she wished for.

it's fine! that wasn't a wait at all xD

Skye heard a familiar voice that she'd heard not too long ago and sat up, finding herself looking at Sky. She seemed so unhappy, her face and eyes hollow with disappointment and what could be shame. Skye didn't like seeing her packmate like this; she didn't like seeing any of them like this. She found herself wondering what would have happened if Orin and Shaw never had done what they did, and then shook the thoughts away. What was done was done, and Skye knew that it was her duty as the co-leader to help fix things, since Shawchert had taken to locking himself away in his hut.

"Sure, Sky," she said, getting up from her solitary chair and sitting on the first step of the three steps that led up to her porch. She patted the seat next to her; an invitation for the Soprano to sit and discuss whatever she wanted to say. "Tell me what's on your mind."

An unhappy thought crossed her mind - she or Shawchert would, eventually, have to punish Orin and Sky for fighting. She didn't like the idea, but she had to uphold the pack's rules. She didn't want to give them a punishment - she wasn't even sure what sort of punishment would even work. Maybe something...maybe...she glanced back for just an instant at her house, where Jack the horse was residing in her living room. Her mind then flashed to Mars's horse and his question of whether or not there were a stables in the place. She looked at Sky, waiting for an answer, but her mind reached out to the store across from them; maybe Orin and Sky could help the co-leader built a stable for the horses using that store? It'd benefit the pack, and hopefully get them to work together.

+388 Poor Sky. She's got issues. :/

Skye was good enough to listen, as the wolfdog had hoped. They were fairly good friends, and this was the fact that brought Sky to suddenly sit down beside the co-leader and gasp a bit as the feeling of wanting to cry suddenly hit her. That wave of guilt and horror was one like before, when she'd suddenly told Shawchert everything he didn't need to hear. Finding that to be the perfect place to start, Sky curled her legs to her chest and sighed inwardly.

"I told him." Skye already knew all about how Sky felt, as far as the wolfdog knew. "I told him everything like some selfish idiot. He came to my house to ask my advice on what's going on, and half-way to making it better, I broke down like some stricken child and told him everything." At this point, Sky didn't care who knew about her love for Shaw. It was bound to become public knowledge if it wasn't already more than rumors. Valinta, Skye, Orin and now Shawchert himself knew. Plus, it was pretty obvious.

"I should've kept my mouth shut. I was doing so well. He'd agreed to talk to Orin about it, cause he's not sure how he feels about her, and he feels so guilty about what happened... We were just finding a middle ground when I decided out of nowhere to tell him." She spoke about it in a bitter tone, as if she weren't speaking about herself. In a way, she wasn't; if she'd been herself at the time, she'd of had more control, and not done the things she did. She'd have played the supportive best friend the entire time, and not turned it around on herself. Now Shawchert was bound to avoid her.

Not that she blamed him. She'd been so random to burst out her feelings like that. He'd been so kind and patient about it, too, telling her to give him time to think, and to wait it out. As if she hadn't been doing that since the day she came here. That was nearly three months ago now. I guess I could stand it a little longer... but... At least the nagging voice in the back of her mind was quiet now. No more nasty ideas were coming to her. No more cravings.

i'm sorry for the wait! D: D: D: and pooor sky. :< but she has the alpha as a bf now!

Skye looked at the girl sympathetically as she gasped, seeming to want to cry. She wanted to put a reassuring hand on her shoulder, but was unsure of how it would be taken, so she didn't. The singing member curled her legs up to her chest and sighed, beginning her story.

It was as Skye suspected - Shawchert had come to her when he needed help, and she had told him that she loved him. Skye shook her head in sympathy - she didn't want Sky to feel this bad about it, after all. And Shawchert should have noticed...it had been quite obvious, especially at the party Orin had thrown. She wondered vaguely if Orin and Sky were back to being friends, but somehow she sort of doubted it. She listened as Sky carried on, this time berating herself, and Skye cut her off.

"Sky, stop," she said, turning to the girl. "You're not to blame for your feelings - and anyway, it was a matter of time before you told him. You couldn't just go on repressing what you felt, could you?" She allowed very little time for Sky to answer, and continued. "It's alright," she said. "and you're not selfish. You're just trying to work out your feelings, that's all - it's what anyone would do." Anyone; Sky couldn't go hiding and running just because she couldn't tell the leader she loved him. She had to tell him her feelings, or they'd be bottled up and turn old and harsh. Possibly into something worse.
