Hellooo! Big Grin

He’d been staring at the sky for hours, watching as shapes twisted and changed, taking his imagination far away from the dried, barren rose garden where he lay, peering upward. He’d smoked the last of his supply earlier, but not before taking over a small patch in the greenhouse to harvest more, peeing beside it—not on any of the plants, of course!—to ensure that everyone knew that it was his. Of course, he was new and not yet imbued with the scent of Inferni, but he’d have to change that as quickly as possible. Maybe he’d ask for someone to pee on him—maybe not.

Though cuddling sounded absolutely delightful, willingly exchanging odors. It was freezing out here. He shivered at the thought, though honestly his pelt kept him warm enough. He had a ratty, torn blanket in his bag, but that was only for emergencies. He rose, heading to the porch of the mansion where he slowly ascent the stairs, loosely holding onto the bag slung over his shoulder. Warily, he entered the mansion.

Hey XD!

Itzal walked on two legs. He was surprised how much he had started using optime since he had arrived in Inferni. When he had been alone, he had like the speed and familarity of Lupus form, and had used it most, and he had also used Secui for big hunts and fighting. But Optime had always been slow and weak to him. Though he had used it to pratice with his knife and hunt with it some, he only ever caught small game in that form. He had also shifted to it to work on his stealth, pushing himself to be able to go stealthy in any of the three forms. But now he found he was using it a lot more just to use it. He was in it now, and he was wearing his usual apparel. His black jeans, torn and ripped in many places. He was shirtless, like always. Even in the dead of winter, he refused to wear a shirt. It was not a problem for him either, the cold did not bite at him at all. He had only ever really felt it that one time he had been caught in a rather bad snow storm. He had finally shifted to Secui and curled up to keep warm. But other then in extreme temperatures, the cold was not a problem for him.

He was in the mansion, for the first time actually. He had yet to travel into it, until now. Buildings like this did not bother him, the thing that bothered him was all the other pack members that lived here. He was not a very social pack member yet. Only a few days ago he had joined, and he had barely meant any of the members. One or two, maybe more were all he had had real conversations with. He had thought about living in the mansion (he still had not picked a permant place to live in the pack) but when he walked in and his nose what assaulted with so many scents, he instantly decided agianst it. He had been turning to leave when a canine in Optime form walked into the mansion. Itzal froze, then relaxed his muscles, putting on a neutral face and looking at the other. He was male, Itzal could smell it on him. But he did not smell of Inferni, which meant he was either new, or a trespasser. He thought it was unlikely the male was a trespasser, seeing as how he had gotten this far pass the border, and he seemed at easy here, and not worried about being attacked. So Itzal figured he was new, but Itzal still did not put any emtion on his face or in his voice when he asked "Who are you?" Itzal watched the man closely for any sign as to what he was going to do. Itzal was not a social person, and was just unlucky enough to get caught just as he was leaving by this man, and Itzal's curousity and loyality to the pack called for him to find out who this man was and what he was doing.

He knew that he was allowed to be here, but that didn’t stop him from feeling as though he were doing something wrong—or that someone would tell him as much, whatever the truth. Canines could be protective of their dens, and he’d yet to walk around and shake hands, introducing himself to the pack.

So when a voice spoke out he jumped comically, dropping his bag to the floor and whirling around to face the other coyote. Well, coyote hybrid, as this creature looked more wolf than coyote, with his jet-black coat and obviously lupine build.

“Pink!” he said, grinning cheesily ear to ear as he reached down to pick up his fallen bag. “Who’re you?” he returned, eyeing the creature curiously as he slipped the bag back onto his shoulder.

Sorry, he is usualy not such a Jackass, 767!

Itzal watched as the man jumped at his question. Itzal had to work to suppres a smile. Then he looked over the man. He had piercings. Lots of them, and Itzal could not help but wonder where he got them at. He had gotten his first and only piercing so far from sky not to long ago. He still had to go see her in a few days so she could take a final look. And maybe a little later he would get another. He would follow her advice and get a goldish one over his eye to match his eye. He was a big piercings fan, and apparently, this coyote was an even bigger one. He had piercings everywhere on his face. Everywhere on his face. He also had one other unusual charactertistic. His eyes were pink. Like really truly pink. It was interesting to say the least. His coat was not unusual, it had the same coloring as most other coyotes. Itzal noticed they were very diffrent. Itzal himself was much darker in coat color. His being a greyish black in this form. It made his bangs and hair stand out more. They constantly fell into his eyes. But he did not mind. He had been debating dying his bangs greyish-silver at the tips. He figured he could fine some plants to make the dye from. They would probably look good to, he had just not gotten around to doing it. Plus he would have a hard time finding the right plants now. Most plants did not grow in the dead of winter. He would probably just have to wait for everything to thaw and for winter to set in. What a bummer But spring was not to far off, and he could probably wait. It was then he noticed the mess that the strangers coat was in. And he could smell something coming off of him. Ugh, he was a smoker. Oh well, Itzal had no problem with them, hell, he might have tried it himself had it not been for the fear of letting another part of him take the wheel. A part no one wanted driving.

He sighed and closed his eyes. Then he opened on to stare at the man. Did he really just say his name is pink? Like the color? Like his eyes pink? Itzal laughed mentally, wow, this man was just a very pink represented person. Itzal smirked to himself, wow, look at that grin on his face. Seems like a nice guy...to bad Itzal was not feeling very nice right now. "I meant who are you as in what rank are you, and when did you get here, though a name is not a bad start. And I'm Itzal, if you really want to know, hunter, temporarily I hope, and I joined just earlier this month. I'm not a to social guy, but if I'm in the right mood, you might get lucky..to bad for you I am in the wrong mood." Itzal smiled at the, guy, a fake sarcastic smile. Then because he was working on not being a total dick, he smiled lightly at the guy, shrugging his shoulders in uncaring fashion. Itzal was in a bad mood because the scent of so many in the house put him on edge. He was not one to socialize, and large groups were some what of a no-no for him still. He would stick to small groups for now, until he was more comfortable. And it was just bad luck that this guy caught him in such a jackass mood.

Pink was traditionally not a very masculine color, which was why the eccentric coyote embraced it so thoroughly, despite a lack of otherwise overt effeminacy. He’d been born with a lurid eye color, but rather than abhor what nature granted him, he fully made it a part of him. He didn’t mind, really. He wasn’t concerned with the judgment of others. This canine was obviously in a bad mood, however. The smile immediately faded from his face at his tone, melting away as quickly as it’d been invoked. That mocking smile drew irritation and Pink scoffed.

“Hey, man! You’re awfully rude,” he replied, disappointed that this should be one of his very first new encounters. If they were all this cranky then he sure wouldn’t be staying long. At least Kaena had been polite. He waved a hand dismissively toward the creature. “Yer ruinin’ my mood, dude. Come back when you can be nice,” he said, moving past him.

Itzal could not help but growl at the man. Then his face broke into a smile as the person moved past him. He turned and grabbed the mans shoulder, lightly. "Hold up." He liked how the man had stood up to him. He defintly had confidence, and sure was not afraid to speak his mind. No mattter how mean the one he was talking to was being. "You got balls. I'll give you that, and I like people who stand up for themselves. Sorry I was being such a jerk. I was about to leave when you caught me and I was already on edge. I took it out on you with out thinking. I can do that sometimes. Lets start again, names Itzal, your name is pink. There we have names out of the way. Now we can start struggling through the stages of friendship when one of us is untrusting and more then likely to tell the other to shove it then let them get close. A.K.A. me, or we can just turn around and walk away from each other now, and you can remember me as a dude with an attitude problem. Your choice, what would you like? Oh and either way, I'm gonna have some attitude, it comes with the knowing me part, and i find that it can help keep things interseting. Nothing get boring quicker then talking to someone with no backbone. Itzal smiled slightly, but it was barely noticable on his lips, he let go of the man, and waited for him to reply. Either way, Itzal tried, and that was all he was suppose to be doing, trying to get along with others and learn to survive in a pack. So that meant Itzal had to make nice nice with people he did not feel like being nice to. But he sighed, he had no reason to be a jerk. He was having mood swings. He needed to calm down and just relax, he was getting to stressed out over stuff, and it was making him quick to judge and snap, somethign he did not like to do. He took a deep breath and sighed, he defintly need some time to relax. Maybe, just maybe, he could spend time with Aly, or maybe just time alone in the forest. Where he cuold really relax. He smiled to himself as he promised himself that he would get some relaxation time soon. And with that he looked at the man, seeing if he would accept or refuse Itzal offer for friendship. Itzal could understand if he did, Itzal had been a jerk, something that was not normal for him. At least not when he was acting all nice. Sometimes he was genuinly nice, and others times it was an act. But either way, he did not care what the man picked, as long as Itzal knew he had made the effort then he was satisfied. Now he just had to stick around long enough to hear the mans answer, and if the man wanted to try and be friends, he would work his way through it. Though Pink had little chance of becoming more then a mutual friend. Very few people had a chance to beomce more then that.

Itzal looked around the mansion, surprised no one had come out at all. He figured that since there were so many over lapping scents, this building would be busier. But then again it was a mansion, maybe their were other rooms then the main one that were busy at this time. He shrugged. and his hand slid down his side to his waist. As he felt the pouch at his waist he relaxed his muscles. It always helped calm him some, and what was inside helped more. He slid his hand in as he felt the knife that he valued greatly. He loved that knife, and would never go anywhere in optime without it. He even carried it in secui and Lupus, tied to his left leg. It did not way him down at all and he could keep it safe. He felt attached to the knife. He had it a long time and it was almost like an extra paw to him. He ran his fingers over the pattern on the hilt. It was calming to feel the familiar texture under his fingers. He let go of it and pulled his hand out of the pouch. Then he snapped out of his daze and looked up at Pink. He wondered if, other then smoking, he had anything that calmed him and he liked to do. Itzal figured he probalby did, most people had those things that they loved to do and that calmed them. Why would Pink be any diffrent. Itzal looked away from the man, no show of emtion on his face. He could stay like this, emtionless, for as long as he needed to appear it. Sometimes he actually wondered if he was emotionless, or if it was just the face he could put on. He shrugged it off. Oh well. It did not matter now, and it would not matter later.

A hand reached out for his shoulder, impending his movement any further. He turned a baleful eye on the darker creature, patiently waiting to see what he had to say. He was in no rush, and he wasn’t in a fighting mood either, though he was reluctant, finding himself wary of the canine and his motives. He preferred to just float along through life, avoiding complications and headache.

“Sure, dude,” he replied, dragging the words out in an exaggerated manner. He had no reason to argue. “Whatever you say. Just be chill, man,” he continued, allowing the grin to return to his features. Exuberance was returning now that the stranger—Itzal, as he was apparently called—was no longer being so confrontational.

He liked things that way.

short, 276!

Itzal was not sure he enjoyed being called "man" or "dude" and being told to "chill" but he figured he would just have to put up with it. He sighed to himself. This dude seemed to just be some sort of hippie guy. He knew the pack had a few who were like that, but he himself had not meant any of them. Lucky him he had to meet one now while he was in probably one of the worst moods since he had been in the pack. He took a step away from the guy, so he had some room. He was not big on being close to people, so he made sure he had some distance. He looked at the guy with a neutral look on his face. He was not in the smiley happy mood that he sometimes forced himself to be. Not today, he was not even going to force himself to be.

"yeah, ok I am." He said it without emotion, and he shrugged his shoulders. "When did you join the pack? I figured you are new since I've never seen you around and you don't yet have the smell of the pack on you. Just get in or something?" He looked around the mansion and sighed, he was getting mor anxious by the second. He made himself stay, working on his control and determination. He had to get use to being in a pack and with a lot of others canines. That did not mean he would like it so soon. And it would take a while to get him to even be ok with it, let alone like it.

He’d never been the smartest cookie in the jar, but that didn’t stop him from living as fulfilling a life as anyone else. He loved, he lost, and he felt pain just as everyone else did—though his interests and existence was far simpler than anyone else’s. Anger was forgotten as the creature’s offensiveness dissipated. Itzal backed away, giving Pink his distance.

His body unconsciously relaxed as space was gained. “Yeah,” he said, again dragging out his words in an exaggerated manner. “Kaena let me stay!” he grinned again, pleased at this. He liked to belong. “I never been in the house before,” he added, his voice marred by his slight lisp.
