WC: 1359 Apologies for the rambling XD Private for Silvano Smile Set on the 3rd of August.

The moon stretched across the sky in a cat like grin hanging in the night sky. It's waning crescent showing that soon there would be a new moon and for just a few days the night would be a lot darker than it had been, there would be no bright cool light eminating from the sky as the moon reflected the sun's rays back onto the sleeping lands. A few clouds drifted lazily across the inky velvet canvass, catching the small rays from the small moon, shining silver as they glimmered in it's light. The stars were already out, a thick blanket of them covering the sky, the darkness making them all the more visable, all the brighter against the black night. The breeze was soft and gentle, blowing through the lands and rustling the leaves of the tall trees that surrounded the manor. Tonight in the dim light the Manor looked imposing, a great shadow cast across the land, rising into the sky much higher than any wolf dared to climb. It towered over all that surrounded it, a large protector, a haven for the wolves who chose to seek sleep there, a safe place against the night and anything that might be lurking in it. This is what the ebony fae thought as she sat upon a rock outside it, flute in hand, trilling a quiet tune to herself. She was practising, it was not often that the fae managed to find some time to herself simply to practice, she enjoyed it greatly, but she had not had the time for it since coming back to the lands, not really. So now in the quiet of the night her deft fingers moved along the length of the long silver instrument, she blew into the hollow tube, forcing a soft tune to emit from it. She had been playing for years and was rather proud of herself, she was getting rather good if she did say so herself, the only problem was that she was running out of tunes to reherse, and although she could easily make up a melody as the mood suited her, she wanted to learn more human tunes, she had always been fascinated by them, she liked that the strange furless creatures that had once tried to dominate the lands had had moments of beauty and creativity, despite their destructive natures. She wanted to learn more from them, to play tunes that had been penned by a hand that was now long since dead.

And so Soran had risen from her seat, taking the flute apart quickly, dissasembling it back into it's smaller pieces, giving them a gentle clean with the cloth she kept just for such occasions. With care she placed each piece back into the leather satchel that hung by her side, making sure that they lay together neatly and were not at risk of being damaged by rubbing together or being knocked. With this the ebony fae walked towards the house, crossing the distance between herself and the large building quickly, climbing the porch steps swiftly and silently, crossing the wooden floor she reached the main front door, grasping the handle with long ebony fingers she turned it gently, trying to be as quiet as she could be, having taken great care to move far enough away from the house that no-one would be awoken by her playing she did not want to awaken them all now by crashing in through the front door. She gave the door a gently push and entered into the darkness of the house, closing the door firmly behind her, not wanting to allow any unwanted house guests to see the door as an open invitation. It took just moments for her emerald eyes to adjust to the lighting change, she smiled as she looked around the hallway, this was her home, she was back where she belonged, Mati slept not far from here, as did old friends, she felt like things were beginning to fall back into place for her. She walked along the long hallway, looking momentarily up the stairs, resolving to go and have a little explore up there another day, so much had changed since she had last lived in this house, she wondered what changes had been made upstairs. Soran was also curious to know who lived up there now, who had taken up residence in old sleeping quarters. The ebony fae remembered when the manor had been occupied by a very few, by the Twilight Vale wolves, but soon the pack metamorphosised into Crimson Dreams, and the numbers only seemed to be growing since then. She was pleased for the pack, Savina was a good and kind leader, as was Anu, she considered the pair friends, although they had not been well known to her when she was here before, but she trusted them both, their judgement and leadership, they had seen fit to throw Naniko out of the pack, knowing what she now knew about her pale daughter she did not blame them, but it was clear the descision had been difficult for them to make, which showed they had a great deal of feeling within them both, this was a trait Soran trusted, she could not trust leaders who did not seem to care who came and went from their packs.

Soon the ebony lady reached her destination, she pushed the door open carefully, leaving it ajar. The dark lady stepped into the room and took a deep breath, relishing the scent of the old books that lined the bookshelves around her, she smiled, this truley was home for her, the ebony fae had a passion for reading that none of her other passions came close to matching, asides from her love for her family and her former pale mates, but that was a different subject she supposed. The fae smiled and began feeling around in the dim light, soon she found what she was looking for, a candle, resting upon one of the shelves, taking a pack of matches from her leather satchel she struck one, lighting the candle and beginning to go around the room lighting the others. The room actually had many candles dotted around the place, on the desk and on the shelves, some on small tables that simply had been placed in the room. The ebony fae went around lighting most of them carefully, needing the light to find what she was looking for in the gloomy room. Soon she had managed to fill the spacious library with an ambient glow, enough light to read by if needs be, albeit a flickering kind of light that only candles could provide. Emerald eyes glanced around the room and she smiled, proud of her handiwork, yes, this was just enough light to work by. So Soran began her search, going to the first set of shelves she came to she began to scan the bound spines of the books, hunting for a book of music. Soft fingertips brushed gently against the spines as she ran her hand from left to right, scanning author names and titles, the thick books were bound in all sorts of colours on this shelf, they were heavy tomes, information books, bound in blues and reds, some were a deep green, most seemed to have their writing in bright gold font. They would be heavy, for a moment the dark fae was exceptionally glad that she lived here now, that she was scanning the library in her home and not somewhere in one of the abandoned human areas, she could imagine it being very difficult to carry such heavy books back with her to her room if she had to travel a great distance, at least from here it was only a short walk down the hall. Entirely focused on the task in hand she scanned the tomes, looking for something, anything on music, the ebony fae had taught herself to read sheet music from books she had found in the old lands, so even something that was designed for another instrument could be converted for her flute she was sure.

I should have added this to my logs. But i forgot so naturally you were left waiting. I'm sorry :c Also, you have no idea how intimidating it was to open this to a 1300+ post xD
Also, I'm not sure if they would know each other / know of each other or not.

He was having the problems again. Sleep was coming slowly and at times it came not at all. Silvano had tossed and turned all night so far, and it was getting to be more than a little bit irritating. He had no idea why he was suddenly plagued like this, with this inability to sleep. Even when he didn't sleep, he rose from bed slightly refreshed and capable of working as though he had a full night's rest. No one knew about his little problem and he did not bother to tell anyone about it. Better that few people knew that he couldn't sleep anymore, especially when someone might tell his mother. As much as the young man loved his mother, he did not want her to worry about him. And this, this would cause her to worry about him quite a lot. Her son not being able to sleep? She would definitely lose sleep herself over it. Life was stressful for a leader, and Savina had had more than her fair share of restlessness after Artemis had fallen. Half of her children were either not in the pack or unable to speak with her at that time. How much it must have hurt her. Silvano had vowed to do his best for her, to grow up, and to get strong for her.

As he drifted off, he could have sworn that someone somewhere was playing music, something sweet, but he dismissed it as his desire for sleep playing tricks on him. But this was no use. It was such a waste of time that the young man could scarcely keep trying to fall sleep when his eyes stayed open. He spent much of the past hour or two staring at the wall opposite, and the bookshelf for his private collection.

Rising, Silvano sat up against the cool wall, pushing his curly hair out of his eyes as he reached for the large candle by his bedside. He lit it and inspected the book on the very same bed side table. Skimming through it to where he had left off, the Sadira man sighed. It was a good book and all, but it was just not something he was terribly in the mood for. Shutting it gently, he put out the candle he had lit only a few moments ago and left his room on cautious paws. He still slept near his parents' suite, and still felt guilty about sneaking out of his room late at night. But that was just because of how family oriented he and his siblings were. At least Cambria slept with Mati downstairs and didn't need to deal with their mother every time they wanted to leave the manor. Maybe one day he would find himself a mate and leave the manor for a nearby house. But that was not going to happen any time soon. And the library was far too much to leave.

Down the creaking stairs he went, slowly as his eyes struggled in the dim light of night. Moonlight filtered through the windows in shafts, leaving milky patterns of dirty glass on the floor. Silvano walked slowly down the hallways toward the library, where everyone knew to find him more often than not. Was it a good thing to be called a bookworm? Silvano didn't care; he was happiest in the library, with the friends who only told him stories. But today, tonight, he was not alone in the room, which he saw from the cracks in the door; candles were lit and the room gave off a warm golden glow, even as he opened it. A woman was in the room, browsing the shelves for something to read. But she seemed to be only reading spines, not really looking for a book.

"I'm sorry for disturbing you," he said softly, the door still open to the common room. He slipped inside, gently shutting the door behind him with a click. "Are you looking for something specific?"

No worries about the wait, and I apologise for the length of the post, I am a rambler XD Also I don't think they would know one another, though they would probably know of one another. WC: 1060

Soran was enjoying her quiet solace in the library, there were so many books here, it made her nostalgic for the old Syemv house, she herself had contributed heavily to the library there, along with having her own private collection in her room, her heavy wooden bookcase piled high with books, the old wood groaning under the weight of the tomes, there were far too many on the sheleves for the old book case, but it had coped well under the strain. Of course that was all gone now, the books and the shelves they sat upon were nothing more than ash in the charred remains of the old building which she had once called home. It had been her first real home, before she had come to the lands she had always moved, unable to stay in one place to long because her father was constantly on her tail, she could never escape him, never settle in one place long enough to create any realties or affection to the place, she had mostly been alone, not wanting to bring anyone else into the turmoil of her life, not wanting anymore lives to be lost because of herself. Syemv had been her first true home, she had found herself in the centre of a happy pack, family and loved ones around her, with a real home to live in, it still made the dark female sad that all this was now lost, soon it would be forgotten as the older wolves who remembered the old lands died off one by one, she herself was ageing, one day she too would be gone, she just hoped that the memory of the old lands would not die with her, she hoped that she had passed on enough of her memories to keep it alive despite it being nothing but a wasteland now. This was her home now and she was content with it, the new library was indeed even more impressive than they Syemv one had been, there were so many books here, fiction and non-fiction, there was plenty to be discovered hiding upon the shelves. One could lose themselves for days looking these books over, selecting a new one every day and still not having gained all the information in them within a year. There were so many and their subjects were so varied. The fae would enjoy the challenge of reading them all she was certain, so long as no-one minded, she had always been one to take the book away and keep it for a few days, reading it swiftly and then carefully slotting it back into it's place amongst its fellow books. Hopefully no-one would mind her borrowing the books, for after all she was always careful with them and she always made sure to return them, with the exception of a few books that lined the shelves in her own room, she had taken these from the Syemv house, now she was glad that she had, they were the last remenants of the once proud house.

The sable female was lost in these thoughts as she scanned the shelves, her hands still moving from spine to spine as she scanned their titles, her fingers brushing against the cool leather bindings of some of the older books. A sound behind her caught her attention and she turned to see a male standing before her. He apologised for disturbing her and the ebony fae wanted to stop him there, he was not disturbing her, it was true she was surprised to see someone else awake at this late hour, but it was true that if she could find herself able to function on a handful of hours of sleep then there would be other wolves who would indeed be able to do the same, but she was glad of the company if she were honest. This male could be as passionate about the written word as she was of course, this could lead to some good conversation for the sable fae, she enjoyed speaking on the subject at length if she were permitted. Hopefully he was not just here because he had noticed the light and had come to shoo her out of the library, she was sure that there was no curfew on the room, but there could be one she supposed, to prevent wolves from sneaking in in the night and borrowing too many books, but she doubted that any of her packmates would behave like that anyway. She smiled at the male as he asked her if there was anythign specific she was looking for. She moved herself to face him properly.
"Oh you are not disturbing me at all, the library is for everyone after all, I am more than happy to share the space with you." She said, looking the male over, she had seen him about the lands but have not yet introduced herself to him. "I'm just looking for a book with sheet music in it, I play the flute you see, I am searching for some new melodies to learn.... I am Soran by the way." The ebony female added, explaining why she was scanning the shelves without actually taking anything from them yet, she was in the mood for something specific today, sometimes she would be content to browse the shelves until some interesting title caught her eye and then she would happily curl up with that book, absorbing every word happily. But today she was on a mission, she wondered if the male too was looking for something specific to read, perhaps the pair could help one another? Besides the fae could do with a break from hunting for only music books, there were so many books here and she had yet to find a single one suitable for the task she needed it for.
"Is there anything you're looking for?" Soran added, smiling at the male, still looking him over, her jade eyes watching him, she hoped he was here for something to read and perhaps a little bit of light, jovial conversation and that he was not some kind of guardian of the library, here to ask her to come back in the morning. She doubted that that would be the case, but so much had changed in the pack since she had last been a member.
