Everyone come and play in the snow with Lottie 8D

White furred paws sunk deep into the strange white substance and the girl child yelped in confusion. Never before in her short life had she seen such a thing, her world contained first to the house and then to the small region around it. It befuddled her to see such strangeness right in front of her very eyes. But soon she gave not a thought to its newness and was rolling about in it as her puppy nature dictated, childish laughter came from creamed jaws. The Princess wondered if the white soft had a smell and stuck her pink nose into it only to pull it back with another yelp and wipe at it with her ivory paw,

"Da cold, too cold, brrr." Her Malamute gene gifted tail that she had inherited from her father curled proudly behind her as the small child figured out that if she pushed the strange stuff together with her paws then it stayed there! And if she touched it again then it fell apart! This was so amazing! Charlotte barked several times in an excited way and then set off across the snow covered ground at breakneck speed until she tripped over her own paws and fell head over heels into a deep drift. From within the drift muffled barks came as she wriggled about in her new found hiding place.

The quiet barks of his sister drew Skoll out of the house, his rosy ears perked and his tail wagging slowly behind him. Once he nosed past the cracked-open door, however, his jaw dropped open and his green eyes grew huge. He’d seen snow before, once or twice, during walks with his mother—but never an entire world blanketed in it! It was almost as amazing as the fairy-stories, only now it was all here in front of him. Too much of it was perfectly smooth, though; it was just asking for him to run around and make footprints in it!

“Lottie, Lottie—snow!” the golden Prince howled to his sister, stumbling down into the white stuff and giggling. It tipped his blonde coat, making him look even paler than usual as he trudged through, wagging his tail excitedly. After a quick sweep of the lawn, however, he realized that his sister was nowhere to be found.

“Lottie? Where’d ya go?” The boy’s brow furrowed worriedly, and he stuffed his muzzle in the snow with a few quick snorts, busily wading through it to track his sister. Soon the intelligent idea of just following all the tracks came to him, and with a chortle he began to chase after the pawprints. He found the big drift and, with a little wiggle of his butt, pounced into the pile, yelping excitedly as he crashed into the warm fur of his sibling.

Thus the start of her cute speech peculiarity :3

Her body heat quickly melted the snow that laid on her fur and she shook herself trying to get rid of the cold drips that slivered through her coat to chill her skin. She could hear the answering barks of Soll from the great outside somewhere and growled a tiny but ferocious growl as he pounced into her hidey place and barreled into her. She rolled over in a complete circle and launched herself at him, sharp teeth catching hold of a creamy ear and tugging on it. To anybody walking by it would seam as if the innocent looking snowdrift had suddenly taken to life with yelps and growls and small puppy barks, the top of it wriggling furiously.

"Love you 'Kol. 'Kol! No push! Meany!" She could only partially pronounce her brother's name as he could only call her 'Lottie' as everyone else in the family did, she didn't let them know but she already disliked the shortening of it, thinking Charlotte sounded much more princessy and royal, and Lottie was very royal indeed! Her daddy was the King after all and daughters of Kings were royal! Such as her logic went. "'Kol, whar Hati? He play s'well?" Hati's name was easier to say for her. Then with sudden life the female burst from the top of the drift sending snow flying everywhere and began to run away from her brother,

"'Kol can't catch! Too slow! Slow pants!" She ran as fast as her short legs would carry her, turning her head to stick her tongue out at Skoll. It was a genetic certainty however that he would catch her, the male was larger with longer legs and more energy, Charlotte however was on the small side for now and would most likely always be smaller than her brothers.

Gotta love puppy pronunciation. xD / +328

A sharp growl met his laughter as the boy leaped into the snow, and he could feel his sister’s smaller body underneath his. Quickly, though, Charlotte recovered and grabbed his ear, showing that she was just as formidable as the bigger Prince was. This Skoll could accept, as though she was his sister, she also had the blood of the King running through her veins. They were both royalty in his mind as well, both worthy of their lineage—though Skoll liked to think he was more like his daddy since he was a boy.

Regardless of his warmth toward his sister, though, he did push awkwardly out with a hind paw at her belly, trying to get her to release her hold on his ear. He growled and wriggled, but she took the time to first pronounce her love for him then berate him for pushing.

“You started it!” Skoll barked, knowing full well that he’d been the one to start it. He made a lunge for her russet scruff, but she had already leaped out of the pile of snow and started running.

“I get you!” the puppy howled after his sibling, struggling to free himself from the deep snow. He shook his coat out, giving her a further head start; it wasn’t fun catching her right away, and he had quickly learned the tricks adults used to make smaller and slower puppies think they had a chance. He began to bound after her, stumbling occasionally in the snow but keeping a more or less straight course. After a while of running he tipped his head back and howled, demanding his brother’s appearance—play time was much more fun with three.

The howl echoing, or so he liked to imagine, he quickened his strides in the final stretch and tried to bite his sister’s tail—gently—and pull her to the ground. Skoll loved roughhousing, and even if Lottie didn’t, she’d gotten herself into this mess.

She laughed with childish abandon as he howled after her, she could win this time, she would! She would be fasterer than him and Hati if he joined in.But already she could feel the creeping of fatigue inching through her, she was only a child and one that tired out faster than other children her own age thanks to her smaller size. But she still bounded further and further away as Skoll sought to free himself from the snow and then made a job of shaking himself vigorously. The girl stumbled and for a second tripped over into the snow but recovered fast.

No, you slow! Hahahahahaha" But her words lacked the certainty they had done before. Already now Skoll was coming up fast behind her even while he called for Hati to join in the chase. She could not see him yet but she was sure he was around here somewhere just waiting to get her. One day in the not so far away future Charlotte would gain her speed and the size of her growing brothers would hamper them until they could no longer catch her, the quick and nimble female. But for now the girl would have to use her brains to overcome their brawn.

Skoll was gaining on her now and she frowned even as she put her last bits of energy into staying ahead, her mind working and thinking. Suddenly the girl stopped dead where she was and dropped to the floor whilst twisting her body so that she was perpendicular to Skoll. He was going too fast to slow and would fall straight over her into the snow. She congratulated herself on her obviously brilliant idea, only she could have come up with it. The snow was cold beneath her feet but she ignored it.

The boy loved to run. Even for his age, he seemed to have tireless energy. He of course tired out like the other puppies, but his willpower was commendable; when he began a chase, he wanted to be the one to end it. His mother’s determined nature showed in his pursuit as he kept getting back up and running, because even if he wouldn’t grow up to be the fastest wolf ever, he had great endurance. Surely this game would be felt later, but for now, his only thoughts were of grabbing his sister and besting her.

Charlotte spun unexpectedly, however, and the prince was going too fast to stop or change direction. He yelped as he struck her flank, flipping over her small russet body and landing heavily in the snow. Perplexed, he craned his neck to look at her as if unable to believe what she’d just accomplished. Chases ended in the faster wolf winning, not tricks like this!

A burst of laughter from another made Skoll look up across his white tummy to see that his dark twin had come outside to play. “Lottie beat Kol!” Hati proclaimed, snickering, and the golden puppy huffed as he flipped over onto all fours. He glowered at Hati then abandoned his sister to rush at him, hoping to put the Catori child in his place.

The Sun, the Moon and the Stars Big Grin

Her plan worked! Well of course it was going to work because she was the smartest of them all but it had actually worked! She was so excited for this that her curled over tail was wagging atop of her back. Skoll crashed into her side and it did hurt her a little but the small pain was worth it to hear him yelp and watch him tumble away into the snow. Her barking laughter was joined by Hati's who had finally made it outside to play in the snow with his cinnamon sister and snow white brother. Hati was a dark contrast to his lighter siblings but that was okay because that was him.

Skoll reacted as he always did to the mocking giggles and pulled himself to his feet before charging at his opposite colored brother. The Sun and Moon chasers, they kept the world safe or so her mother said, making sure the moon and sun did not become lazy and forget to rise and set.. Suddenly the Cour Princess was struck with a horrible sense of not fitting in, Skoll chased the sun and Hati chased the moon, where did she fit? The small female got to her feet but her tail no longer wagged nor did laughter come from her jaws. Instead she sat in the snow with her usually curled tail lifeless behind her to show her upsets. Floppy audits lowered and she let out a low puppy whine that was still quite high pitched, other pups however would know the small difference between them.

Their mother often talked and told the story of the gods who chased the two great balls through the sky but never of anyone called Charlotte who did anything really important like that, there was no god called Charlotte.

Despite his sister’s display of pride, the golden boy was dead set on revenge against his chortling dark brother. Realization lit Hati’s eyes, and he spun away to flee, Skoll hot on his heels. For a few minutes, sun chased moon, orbiting around the piles of snow until the chase ended in a heap. Like yin and yang, the brothers tumbled over each other into the white stuff, where they writhed briefly before a low whine reached Skoll’s ears.

Relinquishing his grip on Hati’s thrashing tail, the blonde Haskel blinked and looked to his despondent sister. Her tail and ears hung, her mood changing seemingly out of nowhere. While normally he would dismiss it as a girl thing, he didn’t like to see his siblings upset. He liked to think himself as the head of the litter, whether or not that was true, and as head he had the responsibility to look over his brother and sister and protect them.

“Whassa matter, Lottie?” Skoll asked, padding up to her. Hati popped his head out of the snow and made as if to ambush his brother, but somberness took over for a brief minute as the male puppies approached their whimpering sibling with tilted heads and wide eyes.
