Night was coming quickly to the lands of Sangilak. The animals were quiet as they settled in for the evening and left the ambient air soft and silent. The crackling of a fire could be heard crisply from even the farthest edges of the broad field it was centered in. Jaden felt content with it. The body of heat was only about a meter in width but would serve its purpose. Everything had finally fallen into order. Looking around, it was difficult to see that the land was any different. The trees looked the same as the day he had found this place. The skies were still as beautiful as ever. The only thing that hinted to exactly what had changed was the smell. The scent of his friends drifted lazily by on a breath of wind and was hid inconspicuously in the dirt and grass. They had taken this simple land and given it a heart, a heart composed of a piece of each of theirs. It beat warmly with the fruits of their dedication and boasted their values and beliefs.

But what exactly were those values? The Obsidian male had realized only a few days before that he knew what he wanted for his pack and had a good idea about what X’yrin wanted, but hers and his opinions weren’t all that mattered. They were a pack and should decide on what they valued as a collective. So they would tonight. The fire would be their gathering point to converse. Jaden tilted his muzzle back and called with a long and warm song for everyone nearby to meet him then got comfortable. With legs folded he sat and watched the tree line around him. The fire was warm, the night was calm, and his family would come. It was perfect already.

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.

Alistair wandered around the territory, eyes observing the place that he would call home. It would definitely be enough for him to wander and explore for a good while, which was a total plus. However...They weren't exactly near the ocean. It made him almost feel...Homesick. For most of his life, he had lived, breathed, and taken from the ocean. Now he was...Here. Living, breathing...With a pack. It was unusual, really. The last time he was in a pack, he was a slave...Branded with a skull upon his shoulder. That was definitely a degrading and not exactly fun time. Hopefully this time around would end up better. Ali sat himself on the ground, crossing his arms over his knees. He eyes gazed at the fascinating scenery, a slight smile on his face. However, a warm song soon interrupted his thought process, causing his ears to perk with interest. It seemed to be that other guy...Jaden? Alistair let out a brief howl, rising from the ground. He dusted his bottle, getting rid of the dirt that may remain on his jeans. He figured that this would be an important meeting, so...It would probably be a good idea to wear a shirt. Ali walked over to Dolaidh, wary of the ornery horse. However, it seemed his 'noble' steed was a bit tired today. Instead of nipping at him or his hair, she simply gave an irritated whiny, ears back as he reached into the pouches that were slung over her back. Alistair grabbed a simple navy blue v-neck, quickly slipping it on and look at his clothes. Eh. Good enough. He didn't exactly own formal clothes. Too tight. Too...Prissy for his licking. This seemed nice enough.

Alistair seemed to arrive first where the midnight male was. Alistair gave a cheerful grin, crossing his arms across his chest. "Hey, bro."
Ali greeted the other male with a friendly way him and his friends would often greet one another. However, if he remembered clearly, this guy didn't seem to like him very much at the last meet-up. Of course, he would certain put it behind him and still attempt to get along with him.

  • At last, after tireless slaving.... or what she could call slaving for that matter, her task was complete and there were finally efforts to show for it. And it was in time to hear the summoning call as she collected the treasured pieces in a well weathered feline fur and carried it by the teeth toward the meeting grounds.

Such a gathering was long overdue in her mind, a necessary show of kinship coupled with the joys of bonding. That was what they needed to cement their places with each other and begin the long journey to establishing the greatness of this pack. What she had brought with her in heeding her companion's call was not something she would call extravagant. The craft of the trained Mareck had earned renown among the Nomads as having no equal in their elaborate and extraordinary works. Her attempts were but amateur in comparison... but none the less she was proud of them and hoped her family would look at them as what they were; symbols of where they belong, a favor of what family protected their steps, a badge of unity.

And she was delighted to begin.

She hurried along toward the Reserve clutching tightly to the hide as she charged across the Expanse. Her own adorned tassels waved lazily as she ran, their collected weight settling on her shoulder was hardly noticeable. Though the crown of auburn locks were not so easily ignored, especially as they threatened to spill with every jerk her galloping form made, tossing the blossoms and feathers within to and fro. Inevitably her excitement overpowered her desire to appear groomed and the cascade of red fell in woven plaits and loose strands to trail in a wake of autumn hues. Attempts at vanity were lost as it became apparent, but she could not rightly care as she neared the luring light of the fire and breathed deeply the gathered scents of her brethren.

"Good eve-oh!" Amidst her excitement, the bundle fell from her maw as she intended her warm greeting, opening its contents upon impact. Hurriedly, she lowered her large body to the ground attempting to cover her hard work until it was due time to be revealed. "Don't look!" she exclaimed, fitting off a gleeful trill in the process. Decidedly, she remained where her body had laid in an effort to keep her craft concealed, but to also patiently await the arrival of whom remained.

He had been considering giving this meeting a dive, after all the only people he had interacted with in the pack were X’y and her Alpha Male, and the original meeting with both hadn’t been quite what you would consider happy fun times. But then again he had more or less smoothed things over with the female, but whether or not he was going to be able to tolerate company without opening his mouth, now that was going to be a bit of a task on him. Regardless if he was going to take his role within the group then he was going to have to show face even if it was only to serve as an observer.

So he toddled into the little meeting zone, he had caught up with the female at some stage and had pretty much just been following/stalking behind her as the time went on. When she, overly excited about this entire façade showed herself. He was not long behind. He took a quick look around at those who were already there and instantly the temptation to open his mouth was upon him. There was the male, again in the humanoid form, a form he found distasteful. A reflection of something else, and then there was the other one,he didn’t even know where to start there. Clothes? RAINBOW HAIR?! Oh Dear FUCKING GOD. This person had to be hidden from sight, perhaps hidden under some sort of giant log. Otherwise there was no way that anyone was going to take them seriously.

Despite his face showing little to no signs of the distain he felt on the inside. Likely X’y would be able to read him like a book as he sat down in the shade looking on at the meeting. ” …This pack is still fledgling….must….resist…urge to…..tear into…”. He didn’t say a word, just bottled it all up inside and gave X’y a look that seemed to say. ” Really?”

The white male had been in his den for the time being, organizing his space and possessions into an organized inventory that he seemed fit. Now that he was staying within a den, he had to make sure everything was set into a way he was comfortable with, like he was when he lived in the cabin with Xeris. He knew that this place was not gonna match what it was like back in that old cabin, yet he could try to arrange things in his space to the way that was similar to the inside of the cabin.

From outside of the den, he heard singing of a male voice echoing inside along the walls of the opening. It was a song of cheer, yet also of a call. He took his staff with the rings and made his way to outside of the den to where the source of this echoing song. With the rings singing along to the song being sung, he made his way to the outside world, with a small group of his fellow brethren gathering some fair distance away.

He came close to meet with the other wolves, examining the group to see Xy trying to hide something, the rather exotic multi-colored male, a fresh new face and the obsidian male, Jaden, whom the singing was coming from. He greeted himself to the group, bowing his head in his usual Eastern manner I heard a sound and I answered, he said as he raised his head back up from the bow, his blood red orbs setting upon Jaden with a smile formed across his lips

Alistair was the first wolf to show in all his colored and dressed glory. It was true; Jaden hadn’t taken a liking to this multicolored hybrid on their first meeting. He had been loud, obnoxious, and was still part coyote. But he was still here. It took some courage to stick around when someone considered your leader wasn’t fond of you. That and the dedication it showed for their home earned the coywolf enough regard that his wolf companion wouldn’t be blatantly nasty when unprovoked. Hello Alistair. How are you today? He offered a respectful if not slightly indifferent glance.

The next to find a place in their fine fire-lite gathering were X’yrin and X’ies, the nomad pair. Jaden put a bit too much thought into that grouping and his ear flicked as it often did when her grew irritated. But he said nothing. As he had promised his dear friend, he would try to tolerate X’ies to the best of his ability. That he had no snarky remark to start their meeting with made it easier. He gave the splotchy colored male only a cold look over the warm fire before turning his attention to the woman. She had brought something with her but hid it from the rest of them. Her display was enough to distract him from X’ies. Devious blue eyes tried to peer under her and reveal her secret to no avail.

The last to make an appearance was Pendzez. His traditional greeting was the last thing to bring the members of Sangi’lak together. Now they were all here and could flesh out the meaning of this meeting. We’re glad to see you Pendzez. Thank you all for coming to my call, he moved his watch from Pendzez and brushed it around the gathering to acknowledge them all. We are in a wonderful position right now as a pack. Our boarders are marked and most of the caches are stocked. Some of you have even chosen dens. For all intent and purpose, we are a pack. BUT, From his seated position the optime raised his arms from his lap slightly with palms up, For all of this we are missing one essential thing. A pack is not just wolves and where they live but also what they believe. I think tonight would be a good night to figure out exactly what we believe in, don’t you? Things like what we expect from future new members to laws and anything else that isn’t set in stone yet. He grinned at X’yrin once he noticed that she still hid something under her belly. Though, I think I can speak for most of us here when I say we’re interested to see what you have, my Issor.

It was getting worse, honestly he thought he might have to get X’y to make him some sort of muzzle before this whole thing was over. Jaden’s look at him didn’t go unnoticed, as he thought there was tension in that stare, probably the fact that he arrived directly following X’y had not made that tension any easier. But he just remembered the words of his old friend, to be nice. To not speak ill or cause discomfort. “….This is going to get really old…..really quick”. He thought to himself calmly, keeping the look of lazy eyes upon the entire group. Another arrived, a white wolf. The first thing he took note of though with Jaden’s speech was the name of who X’ies would now lovingly refer to mentally as ‘ The Leprechaun’. Following tht though it seemed that Jaden was going to address the group. “This ought to be interesting”. His first line was simple enough though interesting in a subtle way, he referred to the group as answering his call. An idea which by rights automatically placed him in a position of dominance as the others deferred to his command of gathering.

He wasn’t quite sure if Jaden had MEANT it that way though. In their last meeting he hadn’t quite struck X’ies as the type who really thought much out like that. At least when speech was involved. The next one, well it kind of answered his questions there. He overstated himself, they were in a wonderful position as a pack? As far as he could see, it was just this group who at the moment consisted of the group standing here. X’y had already admitted in accepting him that none held his unique ability but even if the groups abilities and skills were separated into differing tangents. ” There isn’t enough diversity”. That was the first problem he saw, from what he knew at least two of the members were fighters, the white wolf and the leprechaun for the moment remained an enigma. Not only that, they lacked females. It was highly doubtful this pack was going to grow much unless X’y decided to implement some sort of odd Bee Hive like mentality. Unlikely.

” Thank you for the welcome, and whilst I do agree we are in a wonderful starting position, I do not think that we are missing all but one…belief is important. And you are right to try and establish it…”

X’ies stood, looked over the rest then his eyes drifted to the female. He was purposefully using respectful words, attempting to speak without insulting. Whilst that is precisely what he wished to do. He needed to find another way around it. ” I believe we will all agree…that our borders are marked….but are still unsecure, but then again I am sure you were already drawing up plans for patrol groups.....I believe I speak for us all when I say we also require more females….for this pack to prosper it must have the potential for growth, at the moment…it is limited in that regard…”. Purposefully, X’ies turned his head over to X’y nodding lightly in reflection to their agreement. ” I apologize if I speak out of turn”. Though his tongue said one thing, his eyes said another.

    ” We have our agreement”

"Perfectly wonderful." A grin spread across his lips as he responded to his leader. Alistair acknowledged that Jaden didn't exactly like him, but he really didn't mind or care. It was his choice whether he liked him or not, so....Eh. Hopefully they would eventually get along and be like proper bros. "How about you?" Why not make a bit of small talk? Ali wasn't the type to participate in small talk, but sometimes it was just needed. Soon after the short conversation, more of his pack mates began to flood in. First was X'y, which Alistair couldn't help but grin as she came in, who seemed to be simply elated. Alistair raised a brow as he saw the package that she was carrying, and mischief instantly flood over his expressions as he moved towards her. "Watcha got, X'y?" His voice was playful, eyes narrowed slightly as he stood before her, crossing his arms.

Next to arrive was another male, one of natural colors. It seemed Jaden wasn't exactly fond of him either. Eh. That means they would probably get along...Or maybe they wouldn't at all. Not even sensing of how the other felt, Ali gave a friendly little smile. "I'm Alistair Gibson. Nice to meetcha." Ali couldn't help being friendly, even to those that may be hostile. The last to arrive was one familiar. A man of ivory, he seemed rather friendly and one that wouldn't probably shun him or something. Alistair gave a friendly nod, waving slightly with another grinning smile as he glanced at the last to enter. It seemed they were all there, since Jaden began to speak. He naturally focused his mischievous gaze from X'yrin, turning his attention to the other leader.

Alistair listened, nodding with surprising seriousness that was rare for him. The first to speak after Jaden was the male that Alistair didn't know (X'ies). Alistair glanced at the lupus male, listening and watching him carefully. Ali was surprised; he agreed with many things the gray male said. "I agree with him. Growth is naturally needed for a pack. And let's be blunt." Alistair gave a slight smile, looking at each of the members. "For growth, we either need constant recruiting or reproducing. Of course, we should do both." Alistair grinned a bit, for he would be happy to do either. "I believe that we should possibly set border patrols as soon as possible, to make sure no one breaches the border. Perhaps a temporary border patrol that could be set after the meeting? I'd be happy to volunteer if needed." Alistair wasn't used to pack life, but he did know territory was a very important aspect. Hopefully he didn't say anything stupid.

The conversation he started with Alistair was short but both were kind. I’m quite alright. Thank you for asking. Jaden even smiled mildly at the multicolored male. Even in his unfortunate circumstances he was kind enough.

After Jaden spoke to them all his eyes stayed watching X’yrin. He had expected and indicted that she would be the first to speak. Maybe it was just that reason that X’ies spoke up. The grin he’d had quickly faded as he turned his muzzle on X’ies. What he said was irritating. That he said it made it irritating but also that he had already overlooked the guidelines Jaden had set. It took a bit of self-control not to snap at the wolf. His expression became bland to hide his annoyance but he let his eyes glide over to his fellow leader, hoping she could read his eyes when his face said nothing. He had vowed to deal with this loud mouth without violence but he would still convey when the wolf was being irritating.

He was begging to word his response when Alistair spoke up. He agreed and it called for Jaden to reword. He had planned on ignoring X’ies and trying to steer the conversation back to that of expectations instead of physical flaws in the pack. But the support to his aggravating words needed to be acknowledged. I agree. He started with a neutral nod to Alistair. We can set up a temporary patrol until we have more members and growing our numbers is also very important. These things we will discus at the end of our gathering, but it would be better to start with things that are more… permanent and fundamental to Sangi’lak. Our numbers will improve and the I have been patrolling often already but… For example… let’s say we have a member that is constantly at ends with everyone. He finally does something unacceptable and it is decided that action should be taken to reprimand said wolf. What might we do? What would he, or she, have to do to get to this point? What would we find unacceptable…? They were easy questions but he hoped they would make his point.

The white male looked from the obsidian male to the new face then to the multi-colored canine as they were discussing the belief system of the pack and about the possible increasing numbers. He indeed felt this was a matter that needed to be talked over. The pack was new, he understood that. Therefore, security and diplomacy were matters that needed to be discussed.

Then the matter came to disciplinary actions in case a pack brother/sister were to commit a crime against the law of the pack. Indeed, this was another matter. Jaden gave a scenario, in which Pendzez took into mind and therefore was working out a possible action. Well Jaden. It would depend on the severity of the crime. Lets say, Me and the multi-colored one there were to get into a scrap over the matter of food. I killed an elk, for example, but he was to say that he killed it. We get into a fight. If it was something of that severity, which isn't much of big deal if I may say, then maybe a 'time out' would be in order. We stay at our current ranks but with no chance of promotion for a period of time

He took a breath as he continued, But lets say, me and him have had a bad history together and we still don't see eye to eye. We get into a fight because of that. I would say the disciplinary actions would be similar to the previous scenario, but maybe instead of staying in the current rank, you put us in the lowest possible rank with no chance of reinstating or promotion until we were to solve our differences, either by ourselves or under yours and/or Xy's watchful eyes.

Once again that air of tension picked up in the air. Jaden didn’t like him, that much was clear, though how much of it was due to actual dislike as opposed to fear, paranoia. He couldn’t quite tell. Though, his words to the Leprechaun were interesting, he directed the agreement to the multi colored wolf as opposed to X’ies himself. From this X’ies deduced two points, one that if the Leprechaun had not agreed then it was likely Jaden’s response would have been more jaded, aggressive. But because he had, the attack would then be considered on two members. Thus the logical way forward would be simply to fold and agree. But this was done in a childish manner, not agreeing to the one who had brought the point up, but rather to the one that had supported the point, if he was not collared by X’y. This would likely be an excellent opportunity for a tongue lashing most fowl.

His next points, well they didn’t help to stem the tide of thought within his mind. The only visible point of this would be that X’ies closed his eyes, a slight grin moving up his maw like poison vines. ” Heh…Did he just really indicate that mating and protecting borders were not permanent or fundamental measures?”. It was amusing to say the least, that and at the start of his meeting he had indicated that these things were open for discussion. Though it seemed that this was another sense of pack favoritism, perhaps things would be fine so long as they were not brought up by X’ies himself. Still this was concerning, the Alpha Male shifted onto the ideas of discipline and X’ies was not foolish enough not to pick up on the fact that Jaden was targeting him with this. Although once again the dark wolf made an uncanny mistake with his wording. One that this time X’ies would be able to pick up on, and use due to the shared opinions of the pack.

” In your example, if there was such a wolf at odds with everyone in the pack then I do say that it might be better to consider exile, or at least temporary solitude ”.

He was throwing a gear in the wrenches of that one by presenting the punishment that the black wolf would probably want. “ Assuming of course he doesn’t just want to murder me”. However the point was that this particular wolf would need to be at odds with everyone for this to occur. X’ies was not at odds with everyone in the pack, in fact it would be distinctly counterproductive to place himself in such a dangerous role. Already it seemed that the Leprechaun was agreeing with some of his thoughts. The white wolf though seemed to be directly responding to Jaden. X’y interestingly enough though remained silent throughout this ordeal, an invisible battle…one in which he was constrained to subservience of the female’s wishes. ” On the note of the situations brought up by the white wolf, I do believe that his summary is a good example of fair play and agree with his logic on the matter”. There was a question of this point though that he would later bring up with X’y. The white wolf had mentioned lowered ranks due to history of opposition. But what would occur if such a situation was sparked between him and the Alpha? His eyes, ever watchful looked over Jaden, glazed, disguised as lazy. Placid. Could the pack do without the alpha male? Then again…once more, the grin. Just a twitch.

    ” Ah…but we are a family…and yet I know so few names…..I am X’ies Lambda….tis a pleasure to meet you all”

Yes, X’ies Lambda, prison bitch of X’y. ” You got a nice mouth boy” were the words playing in his head. He didn’t quite fear X’y, rather it was a sense of family that allowed him to wear that muzzle. Even if he did struggle against it, with the finishing of his sentence he would for a moment bow his head as a gesture of respect to those present.

Even if he didn’t respect all of them.

    ooc:

The means of celebration was relative, but the subject for its cause was all the same; they were gathered to celebrate their accomplishments as a small, but determined group as well as establish the common expectations they were all meant to enforce. It was a step in the productive direction in the eyes of the female Nomad, whom had made herself quite comfortable atop her hidden crafts. Like Jaden, she had a matter she wished to bring before the group and share among them their thoughts regarding it. She looked to each face fondly, smiling softly as her dear companion addressed what held precedence. She raised her head though when acknowledged by her Issum and wagged her tail excitedly in preparing to speak…

    …but then.

He opened his mouth. As if the radiant light had been taken away from her and forced to shine upon him, her moment to speak was abruptly stolen by the incorrigible tongue of her Lambda relation. What words she had conjured were stilled on her tongue as she stared point blank at her grey companion, wearing dread upon her muzzle for whatever atrocity she assumed his tongue would craft. Like anticipating the end of a well lived life, she watched and listened with bated breath. Her eyes darted between her mouthy friend and her beloved partner gauging their reactions to the other’s words. What X’ies mouth did not utter, his eyes could clearly tell. She could have groaned on the spot had it not been for standing on ceremony. Yet quietly, she observed, pinned her ears forward when they begged to lie flat and deafen the inevitable doom.

But surprisingly… none befell the small pack. Only the shared look as her friend finally turned to her, expressing his ‘sincerest’ sorrow for speaking out of turn. The female offered back a weak smile feeling a little less than assured, but trusting of the agreement the two still had in place. In the midst of the debate, X’yrin at last rose from her covered craft and began arranging the tassels by their color. As she inched them gingerly around in some kind of order, she remained attention to the conversation at hand and even appeared interested by the crest of her brows for the reciprocated opinions of their family. This was certainly better than expected, she deduced with renewed hope, but the look upon the Issum’s face did not condone the like expression.

Despite his apology, the Lambda had spoken out of turn… and though it was a minor offence, it was still one that needed to be acknowledged. An example of disciplinary action to mirror the topic discussed. But for the time… she remained on folded haunches and quiet until there was cause to speak.

“All your words are well received,” she announced at the end of X’ies introduction. “But our topic seems to have been steered onto a different path…despite its necessity in discussion.” Calmly, she looked to her friends with the same serene smile upon her lips. “Recruiting and…” her ears lowered for a moment bashfully before she continued. “…reproduction are essential to maintain the number and promote growth on the pack, but surely this cannot be our focus when we have yet to establish our fundamental routines and duties. Alistair, if you wish to take the patrol of our lands and perhaps find another to train to follow your same path, the family would greatly benefit from your dedication. And Pendzez, your thoughts regarding discipline are indeed fair… but if I may add…perhaps an instructor or a guard assigned to the punished? Though a time of solitude may be required depending on the severity of the time… there is no reason the punished should not have a means redeem themselves. A little help might be needed in that regard…”

There was an odd overwhelming silence that seemed to take over the meeting the moment after the female had spoke. Clearly from her body langauge she had been expecting worse from him. But then he held to the agreement, why wouldn't he? Or perhaps she just didn't think him a man of his word. Regardless, she made good points that he couldn't really argue with. Breeding was important, fundamental a point that Jaden had sorely missed. But they had yet to establish everything else first prior to it. Rules and regulations that would govern everything includng, as he imagined. The laws on breeding. He would remain silent till she had finished, and when she did. Simply watched everyone else

It seemed his point was realized past X’ies and his contributions. Jaden listened contently while the conversation reset to one with the concentration being discipline after his initial example. Pendzez was first to speak up and offered another, more detailed scenario with what he saw as fair consequence. A ‘time out’ didn’t seem necessary though because ‘promotion’ was about the respect gathered by the individual. If any of them were constantly fighting, how could they expect the proper respect a promotion entailed? But the Issum said nothing while the red eyed wolf continued. A probationary rank was what he suggested next as a next step after the ‘time out’. Not a half bad idea at all though the situation he went to explain seemed a bit too involved from his point of view. Yes, he or X’yrin could watch a member of their small group until they solved their quarrels but they should also account for the future when Sangilak might be filled with dozens of wolves and likely more than one pair of them who decide not to get along.

Jaden stayed silent and waited for others to add their input. X’ies spoke up again and was, again, no help at all. He chose to examine the example he had initially for what should ‘logically’ be done there instead of actually adding anything to their conversation. X’ies wasn’t dull in the least. He was choosing to be a pain now and ignore what Jaden was truly asking of them all. His eyes fell on the Lambda heavily as Jaden began to formulate his response.

Luckily X’yrin chose then to add her opinion. Not only did she seem to subdue X’ies with her words but also offered a good solution to the problem Jaden had seen in Pendzez’s proposal. A guard, he said with a subtle nod. Someone who can be an example for the punished as well as offer them help and enforce the solitude. That seems realistic. How might we handle a wolf if they are not part of Sagni’lak though? The male knew loners could be chased off but an offender from another pack might not be as easy to deal with.

Jaden does. Jaden speaks. Jaden thinks.

As things began to get more and more tense, Alistair shut his mouth and said not a word. He was a carefree surfer after all, and when things got intense....Enjoy the ride with a silent tongue. At least, that was the motto for surfing. He wasn't sure if it applied to meetings but...Eh. It would apply for now. However, Ali did show approval over Pendzez's words, visibly liking his idea. "I think I definitely killed it." His eyes held a dancing amusement, a half-grin coming onto his face. He hoped to lighten the situation with a few jokes, and maybe his easygoing-ness would be spread amongst the others. "I don't like the time-out idea, mostly because I would just pout for the rest of the day. Just being honest." Alistair raised his hands in truthful defense, another playful smile appearing on his face before he got a bit more serious. "However, I do like the downgrade of the rank. A probation rank for those that have broken a rule is a good idea, in my opinion. Perhaps they need to prove themselves once more by doing a good deed in order to get their rank once again? Like...Help another member or catch prey for the whole pack? Something like that." Ali shrugged, basically stating what was going on in his mind.

"Ah. Ya know, I never liked you, Pendzez." He winked playfully, obviously joking and not meaning it at all. He continued to listen, nodding along as the male continued to speak. Alistair gave a soft whine of approval, but decided not to say anything (For he had nothing to say). Next, Xy spoke. Alistair grinned as she spoke, eyes dancing as the befell upon his friend. Pretty, as usual. Of course, everyone here....Alistair would definitely have to get flirting with. Yep. It was needed. Once more, Alistair showed his approval through a soft whine. Soon after the female leader spoke, the male leader, Jaden, spoke. He seemed irritated, but Ali wasn't exactly sure why. Alistair put that aside for another time as he listened carefully. "I definitely like the guard idea. I can volunteer, if you guys would like. I can be temporary or permanent, either I am fine with. And now we are moving onto strangers..." Alistair paused for a moment, thinking over his answer. "We never know if a creature is approaching to join, correct? I think we should be on guard, but not hostile. Not friendly, either. Give a pleasant greeting, ya know? Ask questions. Answer some questions. If they trespass, maybe give a little snap of warning before calming down and doing the same as stated before." Alistair paused for a moment, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck for a minute. "At least, that's what I would do."

  • The meeting continued along this rocky path with some tempers flaring while others remained calm and collected. But eventually, an agreement was struck by the founding members of this family. With the expectations and tolerances for the pack brought to light, it was trusted that they as a family would uphold them from this night forward or would face the consequences of their actions.

But at last when business was taken care of and again a calm fell upon the founding members, X’yrin presented the tassels she had been hiding; each member’s first trophy to commemorate the momentous occasion of their formation. They were foxtails decorated with the remnants of the glass beads and accented with hints of white bone from their previous hunts. And upon each, was a feather graciously provided by her own owl companion to act as a unifying element for their family.

When the gifts were dispersed, she bid each wolf a fond night with a gentle kiss on the cheek and a kind whine of appreciation. Then from the meeting she parted to spend the rest of her night in dream.

X’ies wasn’t one to lose his temper. Although he had gotten the jist of what X’y wanted from him. To keep quiet as much as possible. And that annoyed him quite a bit. Although his presence alone seemed to be agitating the pack alpha male to an even greater extent. One had to imagine that Jaden hadn’t been too happy when he heard that X;ies was sticking around, still that provided the grey wolf with enough amusement to content himself at least for the moment. The meeting hashed out certain things, some that he agreed with some that he didn’t. For the most part the grey wolf spoke only when appropriate and tried to use as polite a tongue as he could portraying his ideas and thoughts.

When everything was all said and done he would display interest for the first time in just what X’y had been fiddling about with this entire time. It seemed to be some sort of commemorative token to mark the beginning of the pack. Interesting. He would take his and nod his head to the female before departing. The meeting hadn’t been entirely fruitless, he had gotten to see the other members of the pack. The white wolf, the leprechaun, and had gotten a feel of how they interacted. This would all be very useful in times to come. But for now he would leave and think on the days events as well as how to best proceed concerning the rules that were laid out in today’s foundation meeting. [exit]

Sorry for taking to long, I thought it would be best if Alistar had a post Tongue More fairer that way.

Pendzez watched as the group of wolves voiced their opinion on the white wolf's suggestions as to the disciplinary actions to be taken. He gave a smile as they were on a level of agreement with his proposal to the actions. Yet, a couple voiced their mixed feelings about one of the punishment suggestions, namely the timeout proposal. Maybe the timeout one was a little unfair. He would have to take some more thought into that.

He snickered as Alistair commented and not liking the white male. Pendzez knew he was joking because of the tone in his voice. Well maybe you should get to know me better then he replied back, letting out another snicker. He went on to listen to the multi-colored wolf talking about the patrolling duties and what to do with strangers, as Jaden was talking about.

I would have to agree with that too. Having a guard of some sort would be in order for those in discipline. At least to keep them in order. As to the strangers, I reckon, for the visitors, we offer them temporary shelter, under someones watchful eye. For the tresspasser, a warning, but if they defy further, then cast them from the lands?
