There were a bunch of new wolves in the pack. Not joiners, but they had come for a reason. Adelle had been excited to hear that the pack was being asked to train members of another pack. She believed they were the best in fighting, and this only solidified her belief in it. No one else could defeat her pack. They were the mightiest out there. Her tail swayed as she headed out to where she knew the guests had been staying.

They were different from the other guests. Less like those she had grown up with. For one, despite being adults they were on four legs. She could get over that though. It just struck her every once in a while as odd, though she didn't know what it was that was so different beyond the fact that they liked being on four legs, and it was lupine not secui. Tail swishing she let out a deep bark as they came into view.

WC:: 389 Drin’s still in optime till further notice. I think your wolfer is the only one that’s four legged the entire time, but when Samantha posts we’ll know for sure. Smile But maybe secui training would be pretty cool? Drin would be nervous to shift because she hasn’t gotten the go ahead yet healing-wise but she’d do it for the sake of training.

Casa di Cavalieri was nothing like Palaydrian had seen before. She had heard about wolves living in human dwellings and utilizing more than just found wind chimes and knives, but she had not been expecting an entire village of canines that fully embraced the Optime form and used it to their advantage. It was amazing really, all the things they could do, all the clothes she had seen on wolves and hybrids, and pretty much most things she came in contact here were foreign to her but incredibly interesting. She knew she’d never be able to live such a humanized lifestyle, but she was happy to realize it didn’t make her feel too uncomfortable. Drin decided long before she Fayne and Tharin made their journey here, that she’d have to remain the strong and optimistic one for her brother and sister. Where she felt okay and at ease within this new territory, she was sure they struggled with some forms of anxiety over all the “newness”, especially Tharin, whom Drin knew did not carry the Luperci virus.

Drin was practically revelling in it all, determined to learn as much as she could and to meet as many Casa members as possible. Everyone so far had been so welcoming and kind, she hoped her own pack could repay the courtesy shown to them someday as well. Today Fayne and Drin were hanging out together while Tharin went his own way. The woman had meant to take him aside to see how he was doing, but she left him to his own devices, thinking it better to ask him at another time, once the trio were actually alone and didn’t feel so different from their surroundings. The optime woman had just finished fishtail braiding her hair and tying it back with the leather thong Zeitgeist had given her when a friendly bark greeted her ears. Hello! She called with a friendly smile painted on her muzzle and a wave. She had never seen a canine with such peculiar fur. Her tail matched the stranger’s wag as the female approached the two. My name is Palaydrian, she said, offering a hand as she had learned the other day was called a handshake, a humanized form of greeting Casa members seemed to be fond of.

OOC: Fayne is also in Optime. Though, it may be cool to learn some stuff in secui. Big Grin It'd also make her feel a bit more comfortable. Either way is fine, whatever Adelle is most comfortable teaching./ +000

Nope. She was never going to get used to this place and the sooner they left, the better for the silver fae. Fayne hadn't spent much time away from Palaydrian's side and was beginning to think that she might be annoying her pack sister. Even so, she followed her through Casa giving her some distance as they walked through the streets. Anyone who saw her would knew she wasn't comfortable being here. Her tail never raised above her rump and her ears remained pushed back in discomfort for this place. She knew what had to be done and would go to any length to accomplish her goal. Amy wouldn't be pushing her around any longer, teaching her lessons and punishing her when she slipped up. Fayne was better than that to let someone so vile and retched have that kind of power over her. These thoughts passed through her mind as she walked, her determination growing deeper and deeper. Nothing would stop her.

A loud bark disturbed her thoughts and forest green eyes shifted to see a familiar face. A smile made it's way onto her face and she rushed over to her pack sister's side as she introduced herself. Fayne leaned down and nuzzled the young one like she would do in Lupus form happy to see anyone she knew in a sea of strangers. Adelle! It's good to see you again. I forgot you were from Casa! They'd only met once before, but she remembered her vividly. Adelle was an energetic young woman with strong beliefs, easily memorable. When they met, Fayne had taken her first steps over the border after the bad run in with Amy and Adelle had given some wise and useful words. Fayne rose to watch Palaydrian offer her hand to the girl. She'd seen such a greeting among the people of Casa but it was still strange. An ear twitched with curiosity for the odd customs of this land. Eyes shifted back to Adelle and she wore a smile her tail swaying behind her contently. Not everything was so bad when you were among friends.

One of the females was golden, much like herself. It was more faded, but still similar to her own fur. Brown intermingled over her. Offered a hand Adelle grasped it enthusiastically, beating it up and down. I'm Adelle! So glad to have you here! We're ready to help with your training any way you can. You came to the right place for this. Her face was practically splitting in half with the pride she felt, mouth wide open in a grin.

She glanced up, remembering Fayne. Such a nervous wolf! It was a good thing she was here. The training would definitely help her win her confidence back. It would make sure that she could fight, and fight well. Adelle nuzzled back the best she could, a little awkward doing it on two legs. She took her hand as well, but both of her hands clasped around Fayne's. Fayne! It's wonderful to see you. We'll make sure you win next time, right? Looking to Palaydrian again she smiled wide. I can show you hand to hand, or secui form. Which would you like? She might be friends, but she was here to help, not goof off like she usually did.

Palaydrian’s grin widened, pleased with herself as she had obviously chosen the correct greeting as the canine named Adelle took it and began to shake it. It felt awkward at first, but as the clasped hands moved through the air, the woman realized the natural feel to it. Nice to meet you Adelle, she began before Fayne rushed to her side and was nuzzling the stranger. Drin chuckled, happy to see her sister in a lighter mood having seen a familiar face. The angel wondered how the two had met, but she allowed them to greet one another and could ask questions later. Right, Palay answered Adelle’s question before Fayne could. That is what we’re here for, to make this one, she affectionately grasped the silver wolf’s shoulder, and myself, females to not be messed with. She gave her head a strong nod, smile still in place.

It seemed Adelle had a lot to offer the two New Dawners. Though the fae truly wanted to learn hand to hand, the mention of secui had also grabbed her attention. Perhaps learning in such a robust form would be useful as well. Only one problem, Deuce hadn’t given her the permission to shift yet, but Drin had a feeling secui would be less daunting than launching straight into optime fighting styles for her sister. That was all she had to think about, others feelings and needs over her own, and it was settled, the woman would “take one for the team”. Her ribs weren’t hurting anymore, and after her mishap with Jiva in the lake, she had taken great caution in allowing them to set correctly. What say you Fayne? She asked, turning her attention back to her silver sister, knowing full well that she’d most likely be shifting in a few minutes, but she was okay with that and would willingly do so for Fayne.

OOC: Nah, secui can come later. :3 / +000

Fayne's face showed a slight dismay when the Drin's handshake was returned happily. Maybe she should have followed her Siamese sister's lead and offered her hand as well. Still, hands were a strange concept for her and she seemed to forget she had them from time to time. Last night, she had gotten stuck at her bedroom door not quite sure how to use the doorknob. It had been a new concept for her but eventually she figured it out. She may be naive, but she wasn't dumb. A smile returned when she saw Adelle and Palaydrian hitting it off. She was so glad to have met up with Adelle already having her pack sister at her side. Training with a familiar face would most certainly be fun.

The slender silver wolf turned to Palaydrian and gave her a wide grin when she put a hand on her shoulder. Though, her own hands hung at her side awkwardly and uselessly. Fayne nodded back fiercely, agreeing completely. They would be tougher than rock when they left here. A light hearted chuckle filled the air before she spoke, looking over to Adelle. Yes! These hands will be weapons when we leave casa. She raised her hands and clenched them into fists. As of right now...she didn't even know what a punch was.

Adelle gave them two options for fighting and both of them sounded like good ideas. Fayne hadn't used either of those forms to fight. When she ran into Amy last she'd shifted into Secui in a desperate attempt to fight back but still she had been useless. Kohaku's puppy dog eyes had her planted beneath him and Amy, for every movement of defiance she made she was punished for. She'd also gotten the feeling Amy felt strongest in that form, while she, even with the change, felt no stronger. No. Claws and fangs were good, but they were useless against Amy. Fayne stared down at her hands and examined them for a moment like she seemed to do frequently in this form. Then, with a smile and fiery determination she looked up to Palaydrian. I think we should stick with training in this form. We're going to find the best two-legged training here, four-legged training can come later. So, let's learn how to fight with hands. She glanced over at Adelle and then turned to face Palaydrian. Fayne wanted to get started right away. The sooner she learned how to fight, the sooner she would be able to protect her family and the ones she loved. So, should we get started?!

just to let you guys know, i have no idea how to write teaching this. it'll be an interesting experiment.

She nodded her head, a fierce glint in her eye. No one messed with her friends. Not unless they wanted to have two hundred pounds of fury after them. Adelle might not be the greatest warrior in existence, but that wouldn't stop her from doing what she could to protect those she considered her friends. Her gaze turned to Fayne, waiting to see what her friend said about what fighting style she would like to learn. Adelle would share all she could with them.

The moment stretched on while Fayne looked at her hands. It was a bit odd, but Adelle didn't push it. They were new to fighting after all. Adelle didn't know what a non fighter would think of what was her entire life. Nodding her head Adelle indicated for them to follow as she headed to the sparring ring. That would give them plenty of room to move around, the ground just right to catch them when they fell while still giving them grip.

WC:: 386 ::Wing it haha?

The silver fae surprised Palaydrian as she thought her sister would surely prefer being on four legs than two, but she was happy to begin training in general and Adelle seemed eager to show the two what she knew. The sudden optimism and raring-to-go enthusiasm exuding from Fayne was infectious, Drin was pumped up as well. She wasn’t sure how the training would go, or even if she’d be coordinated enough to do anything with her arms let alone flail about, but she was willing to give hand to hand fighting a shot even if she looked a complete fool. She had to take something from the knights of Casa, the woman wasn’t willing to go home empty handed, but even more so, not willing to allow someone to take advantage of her once again and she wished the same strength upon her packmate. Whatever happened from here on out, Drin would have the tools and discipline to defend herself. Failure wasn’t an option.

As the golden girl put on a warrior’s mentality, she fell in line behind Adelle and followed the woman towards the sparring ring. She had no business in fighting but enough was enough. Always one to avoid confrontation, Drin was dead set on learning how to defend herself. She’d not go out looking for a fight, but trouble always had a weird way of finding her and she wanted to be prepared. This would better her future with Jiva, for her future children, and for her pack in general. The more the two New Dawn women knew, the better, and Drin knew this would take some of the anxiety off of Zalen’s shoulders. Even their mates could rest a little easier, as it was simply foolish to think they could always be around to protect their women.

As the trio approached the entrance of the ring, Drin’s jaw began to drop. Never had she seen such a structure or so many canines wielding weapons shiny things and wearing clothes. This obviously was a integral part of life in Casa di Cavalieri as the ring was full of sparring partners. This is amazing, she muttered once she found her voice filled with awe and fear at the same time. What were they getting themselves into?

OOC: Yeah. I wouldn't know how either. X3 / +000

Being with Drin and Adelle was letting the silver fae loosen up a little. She was still wary and a bit of a spaz, but at least she was eager about something. Now, she had her training to focus on rather than the bustle of two-leggers in Casa. Fayne followed behind Palaydrian and Adelle closely. As they got closer to their destination several loud sounds filled the air. Clinking of swords and armor and the battle cries of Casa's warriors filled the air. The bangs had the tiny silver wolf jumping and clinging closely to her pack sister. She seemed to feed off of Palaydrian's cool demeanor and she wasn't here, Fayne probably wouldn't have entered the border at all. Even with all the determination in the world the humanized ways of Luperci was something she would always have trouble with and view with a discriminatory eye.

The ring came into view and the dainty wolf's emerald eyes got wide with fear. The fighters were throwing fists at one another, swinging swords at each other. They were very much like the stories about the humans her great grandfather passed down to her generation. It also reminded her of how Drosnav and those he led the Luperci to lash out against their own. Fayne rushed forward, hands reaching out to grip Palaydrian's arm. She was very much acting like a child in the face of strangers, but it was indeed frightening for her. This is what they were here for. By the end of this trip, Fayne, Palaydrian, and Tharin, would be warriors just like Casa di Cavalieri's canines. Even though she was scared, she was drawn to their motions, fluid and sure. It was somewhat eye opening and very impressive.

Seeing the canine's of Casa made her all the more determined. After a couple moments of taking in the sight, Fayne was able to calm herself down eventually letting go of Palaydrian's arm. These weren't humans. These were the canine's that would teach her how to be strong so that Amy, Aram, and whatever threats might impost on New Dawn would be nothing in the face of her. It was up to her to push through her fear to learn. Learning how to fight would also help relieve her of some of her fears, knowing that she'll be able to protect herself and her family. A small smile shone on her face as she stood there, slowly relaxing. Anxious eyes turned to Adelle who would be their teacher for today. She was ready.

Both wolves slowed down as they entered the busy ring. Adelle smiled at both of them, encouraging them to continue in. She moved over to a clear patch. Looking through the groups she spotted Isaac, enthusiastically waving the large dog over. The cheerful male quickly complied. Hello Adelle. Need something? Adelle nodded her head, indicating towards the two females. This is Fayne and Palaydrian. They came here to learn how to fight. I was hoping you could help me demonstrate. Easily the dog nodded, taking in both of their smaller forms.

Adelle looked at them, deciding the first thing to work on would be balance. First, you have to stand right. It's the most important part in a fight. If you have the right stance, it becomes extremely difficult to knock you over, making it harder to make you vulnerable. Adelle took on a defensive stance, showing how to hold her weight. Once that was accomplished she walked over to Fayne and Palaydrian, examining both of their poses. She commented on them both, helping them take on a firmer stance. Once she was satisfied she nodded, moving back to the front.

So sorry for the wait! -_- WC:: 422 ::

Fear was something both Palaydrian and Fayne had to fight to overcome. It would be tough, but by the end of the trip, the woman was determined to squash out the poisonous emotion and put her doubts behind her once and for all. She need to be ready for a next time, if a next time would come that is, but more importantly, the woman just wanted peace of mind. Drin needed to know she could defend herself if it came down to her being attacked once more or having to fight for her loved ones. She was sick of being the invalid in the pack while she had been healing, and she was sick of feeling that way now. The men couldn’t always be the only ones to drive the fangs and claws behind New Dawn. The women needed to be a force to be reckoned with as well, and Drin had been so thankful that Fayne had agreed to come along. They both were petite wolves, but they were both very capable of holding their own, and this trip was meant to prove that intuition.

Drin felt Fayne’s hands move away from her arm as the silver fae adjusted to their new surroundings. So far so good... she thought to herself as Adelle addressed another unknown face. Drin curtsied with fake skirts as she had seen some of the female knights do when their trainer introduced them. She might as well get used to their customs here while she stayed a few nights. Her ocean eyes turned back to the black and gold dog as she explained the importance of fighting stances. Drin hungrily absorbed the knowledge offered and began to mimic what Adelle had showed them. She bent her knees, spread her feet apart, and straightened her back as though she were getting ready to sit down. The position felt awkward at first, but once she really allowed herself to get into the squat, something about it started to feel natural.

She smiled and allowed Adelle to adjust her position and help her out with her arms which she had clumsily held out in front of her. Drin allowed them to be bent at the elbows and relaxed.
