OOC September 28

The storm was over, and Terra was celebrating. Dancing out she lead her pups back into the open air. There was a giant grin on her face as she moved through the storm wreckage, almost playfully leaping over the broken branches and investigating the shops. Ananse and Loki were close behind her, taking their own time to investigate everything. Terra circled back, whining and sniffing at them as she itched to run out and see everything. She couldn't do it quite yet, but soon enough she'd have the freedom to run ahead. They were getting older. She just had to wait. In the meantime, she could show them everything she loved and know they would be in awe.

Meandering through they slipped down to the beach, Terra carefully lifting her pups and depositing them down. They moved through the beach with care, Terra noting all the debris that covered it. Scanning the area the coyote came to a halt. What was that? Her nose quivered as she breathed in the scent, trying to figure out what exactly the monstrous object before her was. It smelled a lot like fish, but different somehow. What really struck her was the size. It was big enough to swallow her whole, and even though it was clearly dead Terra couldn't move a single inch forwards to face the giant creature. It was as big as the human structures!

The cinnamon-tinted girl loped at an easy pace alongside the incoming and outgoing tides, the salty water running over her toes every few steps, sending a shudder through her body. The water was so cold! Along with all the damage it caused, the storm had also brought the temperature of the girl's world down. Nothing had been right since her mother's death and she felt as if the world had mourned the loss of Ayita Catori just as much as she had, but worse, in a raging manner. The storm had voiced her grief quite loudly, and Lottie felt it had been appropriate, however awful it had been.

Up ahead, Charlotte could see Terra and her two sons in front of a looming grey object. Curiously, she sped up, trotting quickly to meet up with the trickster family. "Hello, Terra!" she greeted cheerfully, skidding to a startled stop as she realized that the large grey object had an eye! "What is that thing?" she asked the Baroness, hoping she might have an answer.

Terra turned her head, watching as Charlotte trotted up. Her eyes fixed on the star necklace that glittered from around her neck. She knew it brought nothing but death with her. How could the female stand wearing something so dark? Terra stepped so her body covered her pups, as if she could prevent them from being affected by the death the necklace carried in some way. Charlotte was a sweet girl, but it freaked her out to be so close to a star. The question snapped her out of her staring, turning back to face the giant fish.

It's a fish. That was Terra's answer. She didn't know of anything else with that distinct fishy smell that it could be. A very big fish. Her tail began to wag, thinking about how tasty it would be. Let's eat it! Terra carefully herded her pups before her, not wanting to leave them near the star without her being nearby. There was no way she could really stop the star if it chose to kill her pups, but she tried to protect them. They tumbled over each other cheerfully, letting out tiny growls as they reached the whale. They both watched eagerly as Terra pushed on the fish, digging her claws into the tough skin and working on tearing it away. This thing's tough! It took her a while before she exposed the meat underneath, digging through fat. Tearing off a chunk she dropped it down, and happily divided it up with her family.
