Ranks
Most everything from stature to punishment is determined by how a member represents the Family both within and outside of the pack. And like any family, the power is of the Nomadic culture is balanced at the top. The Shepard (Alpha) has the final word over most circumstances within the Family, however large decisions that affect the pack as a whole are brought to the Family for discussion.
In Sangi’lak, there are four sects (or tiers), The Marecks, The Lambda, The Evan’ule, and The Exultare. As it is within the Collective, no one sect is more important than the other. Each of the Sangi’lak sects work together, using the strengths of the individuals to provide for the rest of the Family. However all are regarded with the same merit based on the individual’s honorary standing (Prospective to Revered) within the Family. This is seen not only in daily packlife, but in pack discussions as well.
Below are the status levels and their permissions within the Family.

Prospective
Freshly inducted into the Family, these members are often shadowed by other members to ensure they are comfortably assimilated into the pack structure. Often they are asked to perform easier tasks such as Upkeep and Cache Stocking. During this time, they are encouraged to bond with their fellow Family members and help with tier related tasks that interest them.
Acknowledged
The social butterflies of the pack. They know the names of most, if not ALL, the members and have a good in-and-out understanding of the tiers. They are the welcomers to the newer members of the Family and are encouraged to share their experiences to help the newer members acclimate.
Esteemed
The understudies of the Exalted members as well as the 'meat' of the Family. Their names are known by their contributions to the Family, and more often than not, they are the first to be called for a tier related task. At this level of influence, they are allowed to train others and share their skills with other Family members as well as favorably aligned packs.
Exalted
The Masters of their Tier as they are the most trusted in the Family. These are the teachers and overseers of the Family in the absence of the Revered or the Shepard.
