Talitha assumed that behind Gabriel's warm smile, she could only imagine the silent thoughts that weren't spoken in regard to herself. While Talitha was her own worst critic, what came in a very close second was Gabriel's opinion of her. This is most likely all an act, just to butter you up for what's to come later. You'll see, honey, which is what her negative conscious would say. It carried a just as dark appearance as her molester did, and if Talitha closed her eyes hard enough, she could almost picture that conscious in her mind as a shadow with dull, gleaming golden eyes. It gave her instant chills, made her guard hairs stand on end, and it made her want to run to the nearest stream to try and wash her fur right off from feeling soiled and dirty (no less a shot or two also seemed to be quite fitting, too).
It wouldn't be proper to instantly break out her flask and take a shaky, eager swig of it in front of Gabriel (for she looked like a mess as it was and didn't want her father to probe into what was going on), so attempting to shake off her esteem killing thoughts, Talitha flashed a smile of gratitude as Gabriel gestured up to the cave where he was staying, and also dashed off in search for food. Talitha would of course follow him for a short while before taking the short cut that bee lined up to the cave, but before she was to disappear entirely and finally catch up with rest, Talitha still reserved strength for her grandmother? "My grandmother?" Talitha questioned aloud, turning her head to the side in confusion. "Which grandmother is it, and from what side?" Family always interested her. There were so many relations to be found in Inferni and throughout the continent itself that she was bound to run into a cousin here and there soon. It had also been too long since she was really in the presence of any true blood bound family as well, anyway.
