Blue eyes looked at her pleadingly from behind the fallen tree. Would she join her? The ebony pup held beautiful green eyes, and her coat shine against the flurry of snow. The flakes fell with a light wisp of wind. Dancing lightly as if weightless. But Anu saw them differently, pale beasts with a furry and an evil intent. Her new friend spoke, well Anu hoped to befriend her, and shared the same concern and confusion as the tawny silver pup did.
“Comes here!” She called out to her, not brave enough to exit the safety of her barricade. The emerald eyed girl spoke with an odd voice, but Anu found it exotic and intriguing. An ally from afar? Perhaps she had traveled from the south, a place where there was no falling white ever. Maybe she had powers Anu had never seen.
“Inside, behind here!” Anu spoke again, not really able to answer any of her funny sounding questions. Behind the castle walls the pretty pup would be safe, and together they could defeat the evil monsters that had never stopped their assault on the thick battlement. Anu hopped from the log, prancing behind it and finding the weapon that she remembered seeing. Popping back up from behind the tree the blue eyed girl bore a thin stick in her mouth. Together they could defend the small plot of land that as being raided.
“Came’rons!” She called once more, stick on mouth. What was she waiting for? There was a war going on, and they needed to fight if they didn't want to be swallowed up by the white flakes!
